I think you got this wrong. Even loaded 718 spyder was way under $225k. I have one with upgraded leather and PCCB. Only thing I'm missing is the carbon bucket seat and PTS color. Mine was $120k MSRP and fully loaded with everything was around $150k. Even Spyder RS costs under $200k MSRP. $225k is Spyder RS with dealer markup pricing.(Spyder RS MSRP is 160k with option is around 190k).

Gorgeous car. Was watching it through and enjoying the vid but you didn’t actually earn my thumbs up UNTIL you mentioned putting gloves on to open the trunk to avoid getting fingerprints on the paint.. haha, love it :) Good luck with the sale. Buyer should be assured this car was well taken care of, judging by your attention to detail. Looks absolutely mint and it sounds like you’re mechanically sympathetic too, so I’m sure the engine and gearbox are good as new. Would’ve done great on BaT!

No one? We're talking about it right?!? I'd take the "regular" Boxster GTS 4.0 though.. Easier to daily with the roof and a bit more comfortable.. The Spyder I would only buy and drive as a fun weekend car, and when money is no issue..

Fair enough, I made however another choice. I bought a Spyder as a roadtrip car. last two years we drove over 35.000 kilometers in Europe. Such a nice car for these purpose. Comfortable enough (I have the 18 way comfort seats) en enough luggage space for a three week holoday

@@Patrick-jc9pb man thats awesome to read! Yeah with the 18 way seats this car becomes arguably the best sports car period. After owning one with the 18 way and buckets, I would personally recommend the 18 way seats. Those are “wife approved” seats too. Mine was not a fan of the buckets she would complain about them.

The Spyder top is not an issue for me at all. Drove my 718 Spyder for over 20k miles before selling to add a 992 C2S. Now back in market for a Spyder…great great platform. If only the SRS was a bit friendlier in price…maybe someday.

I got to drive one of these earlier this summer. I was worried it was going to suck getting back into my S2000 afterwards but... it didn't. I think about 80% of it is the gearing (it's geared WAY too tall, I think the top of second is like 86mph) but the other 20% was that for a quick back road rip, it's just too competent and fast to have reasonable fun in. In the S2000 I can explore some loss of grip and wind out the engine and crack a bunch of incredibly enjoyable shifts. In the Spyder you barely shift and the limits of the car are so high you're only pushing them while going straight- to-jail level speeds.

@@johnnyboy1586 @johnnyboy1586 I drove 400+HP roadsters for a long time but in the end got a bit fed up with not being able to really use all that power on the public road, so I ended up with a base Porsche 718 Boxster with "only" 300HP as my daily for now.. That's still plenty fast enough to easily brake the law and I think still sounds cool with it's deep rumble etc despite all the talk about it not being a NA 6-cilinder Boxer.. It's 'a lot' cheaper as well, so affordable for way more people.. You do not need all these expensive high-end models to have fun, just get a base which is still a brilliant driving lightweight mid-engine Porsche..
