This whole CD is great. Nice to see nine minute jams on a CD. It ain't radio but modern music for radio isn't real...all band aided in the studio. These guys are the real thing. And for all the negative remarks about Neal Schon...check out his full discography before you judge. He can do it all good.

Neal's leads has lost that spiritual, soulfull, melodic feel that alot of us love. His solo albums do Not suck and his voice is great when used right......and this is right.
Neal's been doing projects outside of Journey since 1984 when he teamed up with Jan Hammer as well as Sammy Hagar. It bothered Steve Perry to the point where he finally went out and did 'Street Talk.' Schon's the consummate musician which is why he needs to express himself with various styles. I totally respect that. Deen sings on other tracks and he does have a killer voice.
Love the way Schon plays but this is simply old guys trying to stay hip-looking with mediocre song writing. Nice scarf- aka 1982 throwback- that just looks ridiculous. Rather see Neil do more solid rock instrumentals and leave those 2 bozos at home. I give it a 4

You guys just don't get it. Neal is so much more than Journey. Of course his work with Journey is loved by millions and he does Journey REALLY well. But Neal NEEDS to explore is other styles and get them out of his brain and into his fingers. If all he does is Journey radio friendly pop love songs then he will get really bored and stale and honestly he won't be as good with Journey. It's like a really good steak. You love a really good steak on the grill with all the trimmings but you don't want to eat it every day or you won't really appreciate how good it is. To truly appreciate how great Journey is you've got to explore some other interests musically or your musical palate will become stale and predictable. You just got to let the guy be who he is and stop trying to pigeon hole him into only playing Journey. If you want to kill the magic then make him play only what you want him to play. So friggin sad how shallow some folks can be in their minute and adolescent ways of thinking.
Hi Steve i agree with you 100% i'm musician and i can understand Neal to explore others styles in music . I'm crazy fan of him and my daughter too . some feel jealous because they could not succeed like him .
