this song sounds like a re-boot of too much aint enuff love, which is a good thing.Love Neal's style but not sure if the young folk today like that whole '80's vibe, but I do!!
MrSpeedyrocks - Bottom line is that you’re correct, but some people are guitar nuts and do care. It doesn’t hurt anyone to discuss the gear an artist is using. Like the music itself, it’s a source of enjoyment for many. Peace!
Gorgeous slide playing underpinned by some nice dynamics, followed by a haunting verse and a solid chorus and a solo from the heart by Schon. I need to give this one some more listens :)
That's Neal's custom from the Custom Shop in Scottsdale AZ. Its one of a kind just for him with his pickups, frets, switches, ebony fretboard, large headstock, Floyd Rose, and a Fernandes sustainer with solid mahogany and curly maple top neck into body. I'm guessing around $5K...
I will just say this. Having seen Joe Bonamassa in concert for 1.5 hours up close, he is one of the best Ive seen. I play guitar a little and Joe just astounded me. Catch one of his concerts and see what you think.
@@annunacky4463 i have, which just cemented my view on him. please note that i am (obviously) not saying he is bad, that would be ludicrous and rediculous. but he just doesn't reach me with his playing and his whole attitude like other guitarists do. a matter of personal preference for sure.
I like the drummer. I can here to see Neal and Jonathan Cain blow the candle flame right out the door and they did!!! Damn good playing. No interest in the singer,l.
All rock fans should check out the COLD CHISEL catalog, especially the "EAST" and "CIRCUS ANIMALS" albums - IMO the best rock ever recorded that nobody's heard of!! (Outside of Australia anyway.) Jimmy Barnes not only sang in the bluesy style of this song, but also added a touch of reggae in as well. Imagine mixing the best of TheEagles+Police+RollingStones+EStreetBand, and this amazing music was recorded way back in the early 80's, still sounding fresh today. Great to see Jimmy Barnes still Journeying on!
make that "Outside of Australasia", here in NZ we loved that aussie rock era too (so we should, half of them were kiwis) and tracks like "Forever Now" gained classic status here very early on.
My name is Alan Barnes and I’ve been trying to convince him we’re cousins and he should be on my show but he’s not buying it. Even had some of my friends in LRB ping him for me as they had done the show but no dice. That was when I had a radio show
Wow! Didn't know Jimmy Barnes, but a friend sent me this. Fantastic. Neal Schon is a favorite and JOBO is in my top three after Jimi and Stevie. I still can't believe he doesn't like to play slide! One of the very best in my opinion. I'll be checking out more by Mr. Barnes thanks to this.
@@stevetrivago post is an interesting character. he sounds good in recordings but he's a rough character with questionable musician skills. i think hes mostly production value but some of his stuff sounds really good. im not into the wearing dresses and playing nirvana songs to suck up to his young audience. the way he behaves is mostly what turns me off and im not into his style of music. i can't connect at all with kanye he's just weird. im a rock guitarist pro player my interests are in different genres and instruments.
Is there anything that Neal Schon cant play? Seriously, who cares about Rolling Stones greatest guitarists' list. Gary Moore and Neal Schon should be in top positons, nobody plays rock and blues with feel as them.
That's a very nice guitar schon chose towards this tract. Like stellar nice piece. Reverse headstock, Floyd equipped, single coil legend piece. I remember his message to me, when I mentioned his strats, one that he was playing during his 2020 live studio videos, " Love em " need schon say more, well post his message, I continued to view a few more of his live videos, he was tearing it up, with spectacular take-offs, also screaming pauses, which are stellar, yes within another strat. Very fun to view neal play.

Buah chaval!! Normal q con tanto crack juntos salgan temones como este. COME ON!!! Y Neal Schon ahi con su super strato de clavijero invertido al más puro estilo Yngwie Malmsteen.
No it wasn't...it was recorded by Kevin Shirley at Revolver Studios in Los Angeles, CA. Filmed by Marcus Sweeney-Bird. Joe, Neal and Jonathan all came in to record for Jimmy.
I'm utterly convinced that Journey would have chosen Barnes to replace Steve Perry if they could have weathered the grunge storm. Michael Bolton worked with Cain Schon too...same kinda strong vocalist much like Jimmy and Perry.
No way, two different types of singers. Jimmy's a blues / rock man first and foremost. Arnel does a credible job. I like Journey but they never had the grunt of Cold Chisel, Barnsey not a good fit at all.
Love the music, but I just don’t like the vocals. I realize it’s his style but I don’t like it and I grew up on the blues. It seems forced. Everyone else is spot on
Great!! As Steve Perry said at the RRHOF..."the magic fingers of Mr. Neal Schon"! Great job Neal!!
Perhaps Steve said too much...
What a great group of guys you cant go wrong with these guys love the slide guitars and jimmy of course fantastic vocals
I like this Jimmy Barnes dude 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

JUST LEARNED THE GUITAR PART. GREAT SONG . bbARNES IS EXCELLENT.
2 of my favorite guitarists. WTF IS THIS?
Isn't that awesome!
Neal is using a Kemper profiling amp, like many others. These things are wonderful!

Totally want that strat and Kemper amp!
2014, that's why Neal and Jonathan are playing together.
Sweet Tunes
Well done.
i love the yngwie guitar neal is playing it actually looks scalloped
+Anthony Meyers
Yeah, kind of odd; left-handed neck with a right-handed logo.
no its not scalloped.
visionboxed I agree-not scalloped. Those super jumbo frets give off the illusion that it is.

Looks like Neil is using a Fuzzface too, in addition to that Kemper. Hey Neil, what profile are you using on the Kemper? :)
neil schon is so underrated... bonamassa, on the other hand... :D
Schon is the best in the business, in my opinion.

Yep, Fender. Huge frets!
It looks like "relic'ed" Hendrix Strat (reversed bridge pickup).
PC, I was asking about the one before that, with flat edges and the black headstock. I'd never seen a Fender like that.
Could be a Fender Stagemaster (NOT a Squier). They made HH versions, custom colors.
