We Marathi haven't forgotten it, we still use jawar, bajra bhakri (type of rotis) frequently in our meals. My father in law only eats jawar bhakri at home, never the wheat chapati or roti, and he is fit as hell.

My parents are from Haryana but we live in Delhi. Each year in winter,my maternal grandparents send us some bajra ( pearl millet). I don't eat it as much as I eat wheat because I didn't like the taste and was kind of addicted to wheat rotis. But after watching this video,this year I will start eating Bajra as much as possible.
I was posted at southen part of odisha where millets are consumed in Summer in khichdi type food. One of my colleague advied me to add millets to sattu of my child when he was 8 month old also gave me 2 kg. To my surprise my thin boy become helthy(you can say more then helthy for his age) with in one to 2 month, then we reduced the intake of millets also reduced the sattu after doctors advise. So, yes millets are super food.

I did try eating various millets following sridhanya, but i became very week within a week of cinsuming it. Since millets does not have carbs so could not get the energy required ro perform day to day activities. Instead started fasring fr one day per week, it has been extremenly benwficial. Benefits better digestion, anti inflammation and no brain fogging

I'm from andhra and we didn't forget eating millets. Everyone knows millets are much more nutritious than rice, roti. We eat ragi ball (ragi sangati), ganti rice, korra rice, arikalu rice, samalu. I personally observed change when i shifted from rice to millets.
I am from Jharkhand, the father told me that finger Millet was very commonly grown in the fields in his childhood. But I never saw a finger millet plant in my life.

Wheat chapati is hard to digest than bhakari, we maharashtrian frequently used it. In our daily routine we use every dal like toor, udid, moong, massur, etc

I'm from andhra and we didn't forget eating millets. Everyone knows millets are much more nutritious than rice, roti. We eat ragi ball (ragi sangati), ganti rice, korra rice, arikalu rice, samalu. I personally observed change when i shifted from rice to millets.
In telangana we eat jowar roti as part of breakfast and dinner diet.
