You only have to look at Alex and you can see what a lovely, genuine, honest, kind, calm and very decent guy he is, and honestly these qualities are exactly what makes a lovely husband, and they rare qualities these days too. You've found a lovely guy to share your life with Helena. And the other to add like you say, laughter is the best thing in any relationship! Fireworks and falling in love with in a few weeks is actually just a state of mind, real love that lasts grows. Loved this video.x 😊
I also found my husband through a local online friendship site 20 years ago... been together ever since: married, kiddo, and creating a life together. We also started slow, first messaging, then phone calls and then meeting F2F after a month of chatting. I think when you find the right person, things fall into place. moving slowly into a relationship allows you to get to know the other person as a friend, and really get to know them as a person and build a friendship. And Alex is correct- HUMOR is #1 in a relationship. Having the same vibe and sense of humor is so much more important than looks.
That is such a sweet story. Fun fact, me and my husband of now 15 years have a similar story…I wasn‘t sure at the beginning….then he didn’t kiss me and it drove me crazy, and we took our time but at the same time we were always serious.… no games…💜

Helena, great love story. It is rather unfortunate that true love is extremely hard to find. Many people take it so fast on dating scenes and only go by first impressions just like high pressure job interviews...then divorces escalate very high. Finding true love is extremely difficult if not impossible.
It's so amazing I had the same reaction to my husband there was friend vibe and no spark too! Boy how things changed and we built on that feeling and Sparks came later! It wasn't immediate! My husband is so different than me I feel like I'm the one who shows confidence and I'm very in control and he's very much laid back and quiet and reserved. So opposite! We definitely had a laughter from the beginning that's a huge thing very important!

lovely video 🥰 i definitely understand it from a guys prospective online dating can be quite deflating because you do send likes and never get anything back a lot of the time so you end up in that cycle of deleting and resigning up lol i try to make the best profile possible. perhaps you have suggestions on that? on what to put on your profile? also when people go you have to put your self out there what does that look like exactly?
You have a wonderful story to tell and I enjoyed hearing it. Don't think I'm the target audience though as a divorced woman in her mid 50s. Wish I was as discerning as you were back in the day. I have not given up hope entirely but meeting people is much harder as you get older.
