- Today we fly from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Santiago, Chile. We only have one night in this beautiful city because we had a bit of trouble getting visas. We're so glad we got to experience at least a little bit of it!
In this video, we fly from Buenos Aires to Santiago before heading into Barrio Italia de Santiago for a pizza and a couple of drinks. Then we head home to prepare for a big flight home!

I hope you all come back to this nice city and trip to the south of chile... it is amazing.
Regards from santiago, chile.
Definitely need to explore more one day!
That flight over the Andes is magnificent, but not too much in a storm 😉
😄 agreed!
Outback steakhouse is so weird lol. I think there are some actually here in Australia too but even they are different to the U.S. ones. I've never heard of Kookaburra wings before 🤣
Omg I never knew there were some here 😂 kinda makes me wanna go more
Those outback steakhouses are really corny but if it gets the tourists to come visit our beautiful country, then come on down (under). See what I did there. Glad you caught an Uber when you went out to dinner, best be safe than not. A fun video. I think now I’m all caught up on your South American video’s, you tube has been taking me all over the shop. Bring on the next one, who knows what it’ll be. Miss you both, love you, mum.xx ❤️
😄 maybe we'll teach you how to play them in order when we get home! Miss you, love you!
How crowded was Santiago? They hosted the Pan-American games around the time you were there. The Pan-American games are on the scale of the Commonwealth Games, a multi sport event that includes all the countries from North and South America.
Not too bad! There were signs and people dressed in pants American clothing though and the airport had extra sections for people coming in/out for it
Hi Jordan and Emily, looks like you enjoyed your meal in Santiago, Chile. Glad that the Uber driver gave you a good suggestion on where to eat. Hope that you enjoy your time together with family in Australia. It will probably feel pretty special when you land and arrive in your hometown.
It really was 🥹🥹
Seems like a very smooth flight, and a great meal! Enjoyed your day travelling… and your excitement at going home is so pleasantly obvious.
Thanks you so much! 😊
In Barrio Italia you guys had a very good options in order to try chilean food: La Fuente Chilena. Sandwiches mainly, but so good. Next times... hopefully.
Will definitely need to add them to the list for next time!
I never got bored with your videos!!
Thank you!! ❤️❤️
You just flyed over my house passing over Mendoza. I will wait for your next visit to Argentina in the south America capital of wine 🤗🍷
That's so cool! We love our wine!
As a Chilean, that 10 aud beer was not expensive, at all.
All about perspective! Now we’re back it Aus that seems like a bargain 🤣
One of the most loved comfort foods in Chile, pastel de choclo is a dish made of choclo (ground sweet corn), beef, chicken, onions, black olives and hard-boiled eggs covered with a corn dough crust and baked, typically in an earthenware bowl known as a paila.
Wow sounds delicious!!
How I miss pastel de choclo 🙄
So no problem with the visa in the end then?
We managed to get a transit visa which allowed a maximum of 48 hours in the country haha but we had no hope with a proper visa :(
@@JordanandEmily did you get that before you arrived or was it given to you when you got there?
We still had to get it before we arrived but it came in a matter of days instead of weeks!
Travelling is great but being home for Xmas is better, especially when your home turf is Adelaide. Looking forward to watching your travels in 2024.
It really is! ❤️ bring on a few Aussie adventures
+1 for airport breakfast (OK brunch) beers. We flew O/S from Melbourne a few years ago and made the rookie error of posting on socials that we were drinking COFFEE at 11am waiting to board. The blowback was strong lol
Hope you had a safe and uneventful trip back home...and I'm sure I speak for all your regular viewers by saying a huge thanks to you both for bringing us all along on your travels this year.
Enjoy the time with your family, friends ( and your new niece of course!) and may the algorithms bring you the flood of new viewers in 2024 that you richly deserve!
Yes! Never too early for an airport beer - especially when it’s the international airport! 🤣
Buenos Aires has two main airports. Argentina has hundreds 👍
You’ve got the moves like Jagger and WOO like ric Flare priceless 😂
😂😂
It feels sad to know that you were only in Chile for 1 day, without being able to see everything it has to offer, the Atacama Desert, Chilean Patagonia, the wines, and much more.
I hope you return soon and visit the country at the end of the world, Chile.
Me too! We had plans to do basically all of the above but messed up our visas 😅
@@JordanandEmily I'm very sorry about that about the visa, let's hope that in the future you can come back and get to know a lot about Chile and the countries that couldn't go either, I encourage you and keep going, which will be achieved with time.
We will definitely be back one day!!
bahaha, Outback, I don't think anyone in America actually thinks it's Australian; it's just Australian-themed. LOL
🤣 im kinda obsessed with it
good time in these places, welcome
thank you!
The pizza looked great!
Tasted better than it looked too!
Me encantó el vídeo 😍 pero creo que deberían volver a Chile y hacer un vídeo de comida callejera de Chile 🇨🇱 ¡Estaría épico! 😃 Saludos a ambos 🤗
Oh my gosh! Would love that - what should we tryv
You set your own schedules, you could have stayed linger!????
Nope! Flight was booked home for months, but we couldn't get a visa in time. Only a transit visa!
Solo un 40% del vídeo dedicado a Chile ,,,hummmmm ,,,mucha cháchara e imagen espejo ,,no me gustó el vídeo liliputence
Thanks for letting us know!
I wonder how many channels like this actually survive or make money to at least continue traveling.
There are dime-a-dozen of these travel channels now with a couple going and exploring the same places and doing the exact same things and there is literally hundreds of these travel vlogs now on UA-cam.
And surprisingly, none of them bother to think they should do something different or have their own style to stand out. It’s all a copy and paste job.
It makes me wonder how many of these travel vlogs survive after 2 or 3 years especially if the people are looking to make money off of these channels at least to fund their travels.
It’s like every one of them is eating samosas and pani puri from the same push cart in New Delhi or eating Nasi Goreng from the same hut restaurant in Jakarta.
It’s like watching the 250th restaurant open up on the same tourist drag in a city and serve up the same food the other 249 are serving.
Not many survive at all! But it's better than not trying!
What an unnecessarily negative comment! “If you can’t say anything nice….” Also if you actually watched travel channels you would notice huge differences in style and quality, which definitely contribute to survival chances, while comments like yours, OP, encourage defeat and harm mental health - a large travel channel couple just had to remind their viewers that there are real ordinary people making this content and the negative responses do cause harm. This channel is one of the best and deserves far more subscribers and does not deserve your negativity.
@@Christinebythesea That is quite the word salad and positivity not rooted in any reality but just magical thinking and pixie dust.
By the way, I just generally asked a question how many of these channels survive but you just got your knickers in a twist for a whole lot of nothing.
