It was a ingenious idea to turn that old Fishing hut into a cozy and homey place to relax and warmup. The whipped cream on the Hot Chocolate was a very generous portion and looked amazing. Having the open fire outside to cook the sausages was very unique and helps to attract tourists.
Helsinki Cathedral is a protestant Lutheran church, the main religion in the Nordic countries, the Lutheran churches are typically plain and simple inside. Back in time that was a kind of statement against the 'bling bling' of Catholic church, that once ruled in Finland too. It's said even IKEA style reflects the Lutheran values😉 Fun fact 6:34: Some of the streets in Helsinki have underground heating pipes to keep them snow free. Almost all Helsinki is heated by the district heating system, the returning still luke warm water is used for this purpose in winter.
Ohhh seeing those pictures of the park esplanade brings back memories. Absolute comedic brilliance when that sausage dog walked in 😂. I'm craving hot chocolate now.
Quick tip, if your camera has an anti-flicker setting. Change it to 50Hz in Europe, (60Hz in the US) as the electricity grid is different here. That way the lighting looks smoother :)

Emily...Your clothes really are not winter compatible! You should have winter boots and closed trousers down at Your legs... hope You take not an influenca back to AUS ..
We know 😅 the trouble with packing for a full year of travel is figuring out what to bring and what not too! We were hoping to get more winter clothes from op shops when we were over there but never found anything! ❄️
