Yet another incredibly relatable video!! Your experience of not realizing a lot of your body dysphoria until it started being alleviated really is something I've been experiencing as well lately. I've been realizing now that so much of my experience of my body post-puberty was to avoid it as much as possible without even noticing. I wouldn't touch most of my body if I didn't have a reason to and now that I've started to learn that my body feels more like mine again, I've been able to relax a lot of those barriers.
I totally feel that! I almost never look at my genitals, I never have. And it wasn’t a conscious decision it was just something I avoided, just like you said, because it made me feel weird. I’m so glad you’re able to relax many of those barriers. It’s a great experience when you finally begin to feel at home in your own skin/body.
I appreciate your videos so much. I consider myself trans, as amab nonbinary. I used to think I was a trans woman, but that was a few years ago. I think of myself as a nonbinary on a flowing spectrum of masculinity and femininity, but in certain situations I describe myself as a boy/guy, because I lean heavily on the masculine side of the spectrum, but I don't identify as a "man" whatsoever, and I definitely am NOT a woman. I'm considering starting HRT again for estrogen/hormone blockers, as well as re-changing my name to something gender neutral. It's funny, but I actually feel more masculine when I'm around women, and more feminine around men. As for dysphoria, I relate very much with feeling it on both sides. I feel dysphoric about masculine qualities and feminine qualities. In a world so binary, I feel a lot of pressure to just fit into one category.
I totally get all of that. That’s totally valid to use terms like boy/guy! I’ll use the term “Boi” for myself sometimes if I feel super androgynous. I hope you’re able to find whatever words and medical changes you need in order to feel most like you! And I totally feel that about feeling pressured to fit one category. It can feel really stressful and sometimes defeating for sure.
Just wanna say I’m so grateful to you for making your content. I don’t have a lot of social interaction and haven’t really interacted heavy with anyone that’s amab trans or nonbinary so it’s been very difficult for me to form a cohesive view on my identity. I’m very susceptible to external influences from my social surroundings and have only recently realized that I can curate that to help me better live what I fuck with. Thank you for helping me see me. Will always be wishing you happiness and contentment!!
Can I hug you, cause I just did in my mind. I am in the process of transitioning from the typical gender binary because I feel like those expected behaviors don’t match how I feel, like in a big way. To think that transition is exclusive to the gender binary is extremely premature.
Aw omg you’re so sweet!! I’m hugging you back in my mind! And yes, I agree. Sadly it’s still largely viewed as something just for binary trans people, and that’s part of the reason I share my experiences. I want to expand the idea of what it means to be trans/to transition. 💛💛💛
just started watching your videos! appreciate your perspective. you'r the first youtuber i've resonated with on these questions. Luv your style! who makes the lavender crew you're wearing?
Im glad my video is able to help you! 💛 I believe the crew neck sweater is from H&M. I don’t have it anymore so I can’t check but I’m pretty sure. I get a lot of my crew necks there, I think they’re usually $15, $20 at most
Thank You for making this vid, identify the same as you and it can sometimes feel like Im the only one who thinks this way 6:39 You nailed the aesthetic! I thought you were born female butch lesbian for the first 6 mins of the video
Great video ! To me dysphoria manifests itself more like a very strong discomfort than a feeling of disconnect. Also you used "her" to refer to demi lovato, small mistake :)
Yes, I also would like to know, if you could share some tips ;-). The YT tutorials for MtF usually aim for that typical feminine sound and I like your more neutral sound. So, any help would greatly be appreciated.
I have practiced some, but I never took official lessons. I’ll be making a video relatively soon about how to appear more androgynous and I’ll be talking about voice in that 😊
@@brynavery And I dont get it. Every cis woman is not hyper femme. But they are no less of a woman for that. Why does every transwomen have to be like a POSE character?

how masculine or feminine you look to yourself is often different to the way how others perceive you
I definitely agree

That makes sense!! And oh shit, I’ll have to see if I can fix that omg, thank you for pointing that iut
I couldn’t figure out how to edit/change it so I ended up just deleting the part where I misgendered them lol I’m so glad you pointed that out!!
Thank you for sharing! ❤👍👍
Of course! 💛
Did you take any voice classes? Or is that your original voice

@@jamin4556 exactly. The expectation for trans people to conform to traditional gender roles is absolutely ridiculous and unfair
You are a huge inspiration to me. Also you are very hot. Hugs and kisses from Brazil.
