What about TR 38.3? I'd love an explanation on what that means
I have been doing discus and Shot put for 2 years, I have to do javelin in college!
I came from Sydney Johnson Venezuala Brazile
How heavy can javalin be for men? I know 800g is mininum but is 900g or 1000g javalin allowed?
I have looked everywhere for a answer all the websites and regulation books and manuals I've seen only have a minimum weight for the Javelin. There is however a minimum and maximum for the dimensions.
My option though is a heavier javelin might fly in the air better but the higher weight would mean its harder to throw so the benefits you gain in flight might not be worth getting a heavier javelin. That's a great question though, tempted to see if i can contact IAAF and ask 😂
does throwers use personal equipments in track and field javelin
Depends on the competition. Some will provide the equipment at the event to guarantee that all regulations are are met and the equipment has not tampered with.
Some competitions will allow the use of your own equipment but you have to hand it in to the referee for his approval before the event.
Is it possible if just throw for one attempt and not trying the other attempts if the first attempt’s record already get first place and the other competitors can’t reach it after many attempts? Or is it a compulsory for a thrower to try all the attempts?
Same question for the jumpung event such as long jump and triple jump, is it compulsory to try all the attempts or depends on our wish and record’s satisfaction?
Great question. In jumping events you can sit out attempts if you wish but most times athletes use all attempts because if they are in good form its possible to improve their already good attempt. Sorry i couldn't find anything regarding throwing events in the manual but i would imagine its the same as jumping events.
@@OfficiallyActive so how about the round in final is it considered the same, can only jump one attempt in whole game and not jump until anyone beat our record or not jump till end game?
*What I mean by round in final is in Tokyo 2020 I saw, first, there is about 20athletes entered final then some about 8athletes eliminated in final (who consider least record), then about another 8athletes eliminated, lastly only the remaining 4 or 5 athletes (who the record top 5) who is still given attempts to improve their performance
So what kind of elimination is that, is to make athletes remain in active status in that game or just for saving time and give additional chance for top performer which their wish to attempt or not?
Thanks in advance for ur response
That is right. All athletes get 3 attempts and some will get eliminated in the preliminary rounds. Then in the final all athletes will be given three jumps/throws, after which the top eight competitors are given another three attempts to improve their score. They jump or throw starting with the lowest score first. High jump is slightly different though
how many officials shotput have?
Numbers vary depending on the competition and governing body but here in the UK for national or higher events the recommended number is 11
One Chief judge, two judges indicating successful or foul throw, Two judges measuring thrown distance, judge to retrieve the item thrown, one recording the score, one time keeping, one controlling the scoreboard, one in charge of the athletes and one in charge in the equipment stand
