The MDA Labor Day Telethon was an enchanting yearly variety show that ran for half a century. Hosted for many years by Jerry Lewis, the telethon featured top stars from the world of music, comedy, and Broadway and was like no other show on earth.

I recognize two of them. I think the girl was on an episode of A Different World. And the one on the end may have been a back up singer for Whitney. He looks so familiar though. I can't put my finger on it. Idon't know if he was in a music video or what.

I agree, totally unappreciative and disconnected. This is one of the best performances I’ve seen. Ms Rashad’s performance was refreshing, classy and full of soul, she ROCKED !!Her back up singers were a delight to watch!
