Been playing the last few days and I’m new, but been smashing your videos and subbed straight away, wholesome af and explain things really well! Glad I found this game and found you 🎉
Bought the game yesterday after watching grubby play it a lot. My first game was ridiculously close game. I almost lost with 100 hp left but managed to get him down to 30 on the next round, and then won the last round with barely any units left standing. The worst part for my opponent is that he pre-emptively typed GG in chat when it looked like there was no chance for me to win lol
Chaff also has a military connotation. Chaff in that case is like a confetti of bits of material that reflect radar. Aircraft will disperse chaff as a last ditch effort in hopes of confusing an enemy radar homing missile. They idea is to have the missile chase the chaff same as in game crawlers. In any case great guide.
I'm impressed by the quality of your explaining. Realy. It's rare. Use this at your advantage. I know the game a bit but I still watched by curiosity and I wish I saw this guide when starting.
Chaff also has a second, military specific definition! It is a type of aircraft defense mechanism, similar to flares, used to distract and redirect missile fire. Just a little fun fact!
Please do more guides for single units and placements. E.g. testing ground where a single placement change will win the round. Or where a single unit or upgrade saves difficult round
Hi Grubby, thank you for the videos. +1 for more advanced videos too. Bought the game ytd after watching this vid. Mechabellum looked so interesting but can be quite overwhelming. Haven't played a lot (mostly loses for now, part of learning) but really feel the itch more and more. Haha.
Chaff is also the technical term for metal strips dropped from combat aircraft, designed to be targeted in place of the main craft. In this instance, that is what I believe the context of "chaff" is. Nothing at all to do with wheat.
7:50 I found this section very funny. Instead of explaining that this part of Mechabellum is an auto battler you can't affect with your actions, Grubby instead explains how to move the camera etc., as if that could affect the outcome of this battle :).
Thanks for this! I picked up the game this week after watching you and other youtubers play. Would you consider doing an intermediate guide? I got to 1,200 after a day of playing but haven't really moved since. I've got a good grasp of the units and early rounds but not much of an idea for what to head towards. It often feels like I win more due to my opponent making a mistake/unlucky pick than any grand strategy on my part
Please do also more advanced guides. Thanks for this guide already, I learned 2 things even though I have over 30 hours in Mechabellum. :)

This really couldn't have come at a better time thank you!

They almost always gg in this game a round early. Not to be rude but just to say it before the final round, and victory screen.
Nice explanation. Been playing all week and this helped a lot.
FYI, chaff likely refers to the counter measure used to disrupt radar locks.

Thanks for making this great video for beginners of the game! 😊

Time to learn how to counter mass overlord and melters!
I think chaff is associated with fighter jets, where throwing chaff behind it will pull enemy missiles away from the aircraft.
Thank you for the very good video about the basics. Will watch more if you make more !!!

Was not ready for GET DOWN MISTER PRESIDENT. Almost choked.

ive been searching better autobattler for so long and I stumbled upon this. seems a decent game with quite depth to it.
Just played the tutorial last night! Thanks
Thanks for the video, I needed this. :D
Would love a vid on how to come up with strategies yourself.
This game is addictive and wonderful ❤

Would love some more advanced guides. Help me get started in bronze league
Been loving the game, although I struggle with knowing when to buy fangs vs crawlers, and their placement.
Thanks!
More mechabellum please

it's called cannon fodder, not chaff
Get down Mr President!
Amazing game! Can you make some videos on meta builds, please?
Does anyone have some of those... spreadsheets? Am somewhat of an addict and can't learn without them
If you dont use all the money in one round, does it carry over to the next?
Yes it does!
Too short 😢
