Too small for my wrist, I know it says the measurements before I bury it but I was shocked to find out this watch is tiny, and I have thinner wrists, can’t imagine someone with thicker wrists wearing these

I just got one of these for £44 from Casio with 10% discount. I overlooked these cheap retro's but after getting an a168 I've come to appreciate them for what they are. Despite being a huge fan of the alien franchise I had no idea these were used in the original film so had to get it. A black resin version would be a massive seller if they ever release one.
I would get a all black one as well and it would be nice if it was made in Japan like the originals and stamped,made in Japan😉
I would pay a couple of dollars more just for that 👍
What an awesome reissue! As you pointed out, maybe a bit pricey considering the bare bones basic module but hey, it’s all about the looks with the A100 and Casio totally nailed that! A total retro/futuristic beauty! I can totally see one of these in the collection at some point.

Just found out that a lot of the Argos back catalogues have be digitalised and are available on issuu retromash, found that Casio calculator watch, just been looking through the year that I was born in, it's a real trip down memory lane spotting things that used to be around my parents house.

I remember when it was the Green Shield Stamps catalogue. I went to their catalogue shop with my mum.
I have one on order: the A100WEL-1AEF, with the leather strap. Even at a discounted £39.20, it's expensive for a digital, but I love the look. Tom Skerrit wore the F100 in Alien as well, for anyone who thinks it's a girl's watch.

Mine just came in the mail yesterday and I must say it was really hard to pay $79 US dollars but at the end of the day it came out the same year I was born and I thought it was super bad ass that Sigourney Weaver wore it in a movie that I happened to like. Plus, I love the fact that you don’t see people wearing it it’s different and it’s unique, if it would’ve been cheaper, I would’ve been more happy but either way I don’t regret my purchase
You are right about the price. I bought mine for around 42USD or ~30 Pound in my country Thailand. I hope everyone can find it around this price.

The Casio F-100 was probably the first watch I ever bought. I still have it somewhere, but I don't know the condition. I remember playing with the stopwatch with friends trying to start/stop it to only 0.1 seconds. I guess that qualifies me and my friend as early digital watch geeks. The Casio 'A100' is a nice reissue, but the resin version should have been the first issue -- and it's way too expensive for what you get. I just hope Casio never discontinues the 'GWM5610-1', unless they come out with something better. Looking at old magazine scans, the Casio F-100 cost $39.95 in 1978 (which, with inflation, would have been around $169.47 in 2021!). Two other calculator watches in an article were the Seiko 'C153-5007' ($350) and the Hewlett Packard 'HP-01' ($650, or $750, if gold-filled).
Just last week I owned this watch. It's amazing time piece which gives me a retro appearance. I love this watch.

MWC, please educate me? Casio started in 1984, so how come they made a watch that was used in the 1979 film Alien? 🤔 Just started to watch your channel for the first time this week, and I find it very informative and funny. 😁
Thank you my friend! In actual fact Casio started in 60’s first making typewriters and then calculators ! They had been around a while before they made a watch!

I thought I like the look of that watch, it will be only the second Casio I have ever purchased in my life. The first Casio goes way back to the late 80's, can't remember the model number and I don't have it anymore. What I can remember that I liked about it, it was a black resin square case and black strap and the main thing I liked about it was it's Duel display, Digital on the the bottom of the display and Digital analogue fingers and two rectangular buttons on the front at the bottom and square buttons on the side, which I thought was really cool and unusual for the 80's. The only thing that was a bit of a problem with it for reading the time was the second finger hand was exactly the same in length and width as the minute hand, as I remember I had to really stir at the watch to see the second hand move to tell the time, apart from that it was great and I loved it, it looked really futuristic for the 80's. MWC would you know what model of Casio it was, sorry I've gone on a bit in this reply but you seem to be the man to ask about all things Casio? 🤔

I was shopping in Manchester today and we went in to the house of fraser after looking a wifey stuff and her picking up a couple pics of clothing she said the sale watch in her so after looking at all the other makes I ended up looking at the casio cabinet so wood not let have one of the multiy coloured ones and I started to look at retro ones so I now a proud owner of a A100WEF-1AEF another one to see daylight saving time in took my 1h45m yesterday to put al my none atomic time saving and one button press but I like getting them spot on with the atomic clock the reson wy I have a new watch I think the wife is feeling guilty for buying all the new clothes for are holiday next month

I love the old school control panel look of this watch. Mysterious and fun. Apparently this is pretty popular here in Canada. Simply sold out in most shops I've been to.

I liked this watch so much that I bought two. Couldn't decide on the color, so I got the silver and the gunmetal one. I'm glad I got a bit of a discount though, because you're right, the full retail price is a bit bonkers. Too bad I don't have a 3D printer or I'd make myself a Ripley-version too!

I don't understand how can you not include a 24h format when releasing basically any watch. I'd instantly buy it, but 12h format only is a deal breaker for me.
Hi there. I got the original F100 back in 1979. It cost the princely sum of just £14:00 back them. I've been waiting for the re release for years and was extremely disappointed to find out that it has not being released in black resin.

To avoid having your arm hair torn out then I would suggest putting a resin strap (18mm)

I bought the chrome one and put a black resin Casio strap on it like the original.
If they come out with a reissue of the all black resin or the double black resin model like on Alien,iwill definitely grab those models as well.
