Very well done video, thank you for being thorough!
Thank you! :)
Thank you for the video.
You are most welcome. Thank you for watching :)
Excellent video!!!!!
Thank you! :)
Thank-you. Nice and clear. Odd that outflow side doesn't fit the Nalgene bottles. It doesn't fit the Nalgene Wide Mouth either?
Thank you for watching this one as well :) The only bottle that I was able to fit in securely was the drink bottle that I used in the video. It does not fit the Nalgene. It's too small, sadly.
Thank you very much for this informative video! Do you have an advise how to protect the filter in your backpack? The nozzle for the hose made of plastic looks like a weak point of the Construction. Best regards!
Hi there. Thank you so much for watching. I'm so sorry about the late reply. You caught me right when I was traveling from Germany back to the US :)
About protecting the filter, when I took it with me, I kept it in the little box that it came in or I put it in the little bag that the Katadyn Rocket filter comes in. It's honestly pretty durable. You could also wrap it in a small pack towel and put that in a ziplock bag or small plastic container so you don't get your backpack wet. Another thing I always do with my water filters is keeping them on the outer pockets of the backpack for easy access. I hope that helps. Let me know what you end up doing. I'm always eager to learn from others as well. :)
Have a great day, and thanks again for checking out my video.
Wo kommst du eigentlich her?
Hi thank you for the video. Would you know how to use this with the Katadyn BeFree? Thank you
Hi Yosser, thanks for watching my video. Hmm, that's a good question, and I honestly can't think of a direct way to connect this filter to the BeFree. Maybe you could create a separate system with tubes to squeeze the filtered water through it. I also never tried if it needs to be pushed through or if gravity might move the water through the carbon filter. Either way, you would have to filter it first, then have that clean water in a pouch to drip or push through the carbon filter with tubes. If you try any of that, please let me know. I'm very curious how it might work, and it may even be worth creating a follow-up video about this subject. Thanks so much for sparking my curiosity about this :)
@@adventuresandreams Thank you for your reply. It may be too convoluted a process but I will look into it separately and let you know. My issue with the BeFree is that the taste isn't great so I am looking for a system that does everything.
What would you recommend for a system to filter water and correct the taste / smell? I would be traveling around the world (Central America / Asia) but not to any places where viruses will be an issue (no stagnant pools of water etc).
For example would you recommend the Katadyn Pocket Filter and Katadyn Carbon Filter together?
Thanks again.
@@yosserhughes271 Honestly, if I had a choice today, I would get a combo filter like this one, the Katadyn Vario. amzn.to/3V2qvrb
I have never tried it, but it seems to be a super simple system that combines the best of both filters, and I trust Katadyn with my life, so it's top quality :). Would you go camping and backpacking with it, or is it for travel, in general, to make sure that you have clean water? The Pocket filter is practically indestructible but very heavy, and you need to add the carbon filter to it for the taste.
@@adventuresandreams Thank you. Use would be for traveling / hiking.
@@yosserhughes271 In that case, the combo filter would be perfect for you, I think. It will do everything that you expect and should be light enough even for hikes. If you are traveling around the world without too much access to replacement filters, I would recommend getting extra carbon and the other filters to make sure that you always have safe water to drink. Enjoy your travels! It sounds amazing :)
Если пользоваться угольным фильтром не регулярно , в нем начнут развиваться бактерии. Поэтому я разместил в нём серебренную проволоку . Она должна на 10% сократить количество бактерий.
Hi there, thanks for watching more of my videos. I really appreciate it. What a great idea about the silver wire. I never thought of that. I don't use this filter too often because the water in the mountains tastes really good, but when I do use it, I dry it out afterward.
