Yessssss! I’ve been doing just twist outs on the 30 day detox using just mousse def by the Doux to style, wear the Buff to bed and my twist outs LAST THE WHOLE SEVEN DAYS. It will frizz up a bit (which I love!) but still has lots of definition and minimal shrinkage. I’m super busy throughout the week and I love not having to worry about restyling, rehydrating or restretching my hair. This technique of taking care of 4c hair has been a life saver for me!

@@dorethamcelliott4900 I honestly wouldn’t sweat the shampoo or conditioner if you can’t afford the price tag. I’ve been using whatever I have lying around, it’s ranged from Joico moisture recovery (a bit pricey) , to head and shoulders, to Suave to Neutrogena (clarifying shampoo). I just check to the ingredients to make sure there’s no oils in the first 5. I may get better results using a shampoo/conditioner on the recommended list but I just can’t afford it right now and the results I’m getting using more affordable shampoos and conditioners aren’t bad. I would recommend investing in the styling product and detangling brush. I use Uncle Funky’s Curly magic on my edges (it keeps them very moisturized throughout the week), the Doux Mousse Def for my twist outs and the Felecia Leatherwood brush.

My hair is constantly sticky w/ this Uncle funky gel and detangling is a joke. I thought I would do the rest of the summer w/ the wash n go but I just can't. I'm going back to what has been working best for me for several years. One thing I have learned is to be more comfortable w/ wash n go's (just need to find a gel that isn't sticky). I could try again (less product more water) or cut my losses and give my nieces the gel while there is still a decent amount in the bottle. I think I am determined to quit. Don't think I can go through more of the ick. I think the more natural gels that you can use alone bc they are moisturizing tend to be sticky. If you can think of 1 that isn't I will try it. Conditioner and water are key to slip on clean shampooed hair. Also, washing weekly and trims cut down on tangles.

I have to brush or comb my 4c hair to make the detangling process easier. I just put it in a bunch of sections, detangle with my fingers for a little bit then go in with the paddle brush. My hair is fine medium density. (Maybe that's why idk).💁🏾‍♀️

@@lbrandly4388 hey sis. That doesn't work for me. I would probably have to use 100 pounds of conditioner to get get a comb through. It's just the pattern of my coils that is causing many knots and I have a lot of hair on my head too and thick strands. I have many different curl patterns which is the main problem causing the tangles.
