Yessssss! I’ve been doing just twist outs on the 30 day detox using just mousse def by the Doux to style, wear the Buff to bed and my twist outs LAST THE WHOLE SEVEN DAYS. It will frizz up a bit (which I love!) but still has lots of definition and minimal shrinkage. I’m super busy throughout the week and I love not having to worry about restyling, rehydrating or restretching my hair. This technique of taking care of 4c hair has been a life saver for me!
@@dorethamcelliott4900 I honestly wouldn’t sweat the shampoo or conditioner if you can’t afford the price tag. I’ve been using whatever I have lying around, it’s ranged from Joico moisture recovery (a bit pricey) , to head and shoulders, to Suave to Neutrogena (clarifying shampoo). I just check to the ingredients to make sure there’s no oils in the first 5. I may get better results using a shampoo/conditioner on the recommended list but I just can’t afford it right now and the results I’m getting using more affordable shampoos and conditioners aren’t bad. I would recommend investing in the styling product and detangling brush. I use Uncle Funky’s Curly magic on my edges (it keeps them very moisturized throughout the week), the Doux Mousse Def for my twist outs and the Felecia Leatherwood brush.
Agree! I've been using Aussie Moist shampoo and conditioner with kinky curly for my wash n go's and mouse def for twist outs. My results are great and my hair still stays soft all week without having to remoisturize or retwist at all.
Whew Chile! That flaking would've drove me bananas! It was a lot. Lol. BUT the good thing about mastering wash n go is that I would've washed my hair the very next morning and went on about my business with no problem whatsoever. Lol.
The results are beautiful! I have started using mousse for twist outs and I am really loving the light feeling of my hair. It seems to stay clean longer without oils and butters.
I watched the video but forgot to comment. I'm loving the no oil no butter regimen. Who would have known 🤔? The natural hair line producers are fixing to have their edges snatched. @@AvaMikasa3 I had Better success with kinky curly curling custard (but careful don't use too much or it might flake) or just using a non-botanical gel like wetline or one of the other gels I had on hand.
Very tight curls hold a twist out so well. Looks great 👍🏽 Would love to see you used a hooded or hand dryer to set and also explore applying the product in the shower and then divide and twist the sections out of the shower. I truly feel that makes a difference and reduces likelihood of flaking
