57:23 All-defense team every time because of how variable 3pt shooting is compared to defense. A defensively slanted team can have some hot shooting in the playoffs but an offensively slanted team won't suddenly have an amazing defense unless they massively coasted in the regular season.
Yeah watching PJ Washington compared to MPJ in the second round last year ... The samples are so small the difference between a 40% and 32% shooter in a single series is negligible
How? Suns don't control their 1st round picks until 2031, even if the Rockets are willing to give back 2027/2029 (when KD would be 39/41) there's still the 2028/2030 which are controlled by Brooklyn and Washington who are tanking already.
@ Washington has a swap with us which won’t matter, cause we’ll both be bad. I want our picks back from Houston plus a few of theirs. I’d be cool with that.
Watching the Rockets and Magic is cathartic; as a Raptors fan, this is the type of gameplay Nick Nurse was "purportedly" aiming for after the championship year, yet he couldn't commit.
I kind of think Houston's defense isn't real. Ot least they are a clear tier below Boston, Orlando and OKC. (Who is like 2 tiers above everyone.) Tari and Amen are obviously insane and they put out some lineups that are just a joy to watch (on defense). But their starters having such a good def rating -- I'm calling BS That's just shooting variance. They have a better def rating with the starters -- against other starters mind you -- than in the Tari/Amen minutes. 🤔 They are solid but when I watch them aren't as good as _Boston's starters_ like the numbers say they are. Sorry but no f**king way.
We finally getting more thinkin basketball content
