- Brian (TheMudBogger79) takes the first hole at River Run near Jacksonville, TX. Pinion bearings were going out on rear 2 1/2 Rockwell axle, which caused the pinion to shear. He removed the rear driveshaft and drove the rest of the day.
Silverado details - 505 chevy stroker big block , solid lift cam , forged crank rods and pistons , cast iron heads with port work , roller rockers , 10.3 -1 compression.

Those 54inch boggers don't have the bite of the 44inch, I don't care what anybody says. Those 54s just look like a big ball of rubber compares to a set of cut 44s, cut 44s look like an aggressive mud tire, these 54 look like an all-terrain tire.

@McClinton420 A lotta stuff you can fix on the trail. If it woulda been a U-joint or something, he prolly coulda fixed it. Ya just can't replace the entire chunk onsite....too much involved.

Cruising around doesn't use much gas....and they're not WOT for long, so that doesn't really consume a lot of fuel either...

I know nothing about this kinda thing so someone tell me, what is the deal with the drive shaft where it connect to the axle? it seems to have a disk break on it and looks nothing like a standard ring n pinion setup.
It's a two and a half ton axle. (deuce and a half). I dont know if the disc is the main brake or e brake.

Its called a pinion brake. Basically instead of having brakes at the wheels, you slow/stop the pinion and take advantage of the gear ratio of the rear end to slow/ stop the wheels.
watch monster jam racing, you will see that when they brake around the corner those disks get red hot.

@gade800X Front leafs have 12" and 10" block. Rear springs have 8" springs, 15" block and shackle flip.
