- Tom was so excited to try Fender's new Waylon Jennings Signature Phaser he brought a hat suitable for the occasion. 🤠
This is an excellent compact Phaser, being switchable 2, 4 or 6 stage means there's so many usable sounds in it - we were very impressed!
Tom was playing a Fender Player Plus Telecaster through a Fender 68 Princeton, and also used a TC Ditto looper and a Boss Space Echo.

Good pedal demo, very tempted to buy
I would kill for a tab of that first solo! It sounds so good!
DarioCorteseSongs posted it on UA-cam about 10 years ago and it's still here. Search "Waylon Jennings - Only Daddy That'll Walk The Line Part 1 of 2 (Country Guitar Lesson)" AND "Waylon Jennings - Only Daddy That'll Walk The Line Part 2 of 2 (Country Guitar Lesson)" The solo is in part 2.
Man you got Lonesome ornery and mean down pretty damn good. Slow Rollin low as well!
Goddamn why did fender have to make this? Now I gotta go and buy one.
He actually used a phase 90 only in live shows
And not much dial either👍maybe 10-10:30
I have a phase 90. There are only 2 settings, on and off.
Noice
Nobody can get lonesome onry and mean right
Tune that dadgum thang! 😄
I have some questions: 1) Is this pedal true bypass? 2) Does the switch latch, or is it momentary? 3) Is there any switch pop noise? 4) By how much does this pedal raise the noise floor?
I'll answer my own questions, for the benefit of other readers, because I've now bought this pedal: 1) Not sure if it's true bypass. 2) The switch latches. 3) There is absolutely no switch noise. 4) In the FX loop, I heard a slight noise increase. In front of the amp, there was absolutely no noise floor increase, and I felt it sounded better there. This is a great pedal. Highly recommended.
Put some emg pickups and you got the waymore sound on check
I thought he just used a boss ph-2? Why do I need a clone?
You don't need a clone. Are you feeling better yet?
Bro
Sounds nothing like Waylon's tone' maybe learn how to eq the pedal.
Doesnt sound like Waylons tone at all
That's quite strange indeed, because this guy isn't Waylon....
@@yargnadHe is an idiot
Your right it dosen't.
It doesn't sound like Waylon because it's a replica guitar they made from both of Waylons guitar and knowone can play like Waylon because he had his own style that can't be replicated..Waylon was the music man of Nashville as Chet Atkins said..
Yeah dude it sure as heck doesnt sound like Waylon
The fuck? Why is he wearing a hat
because it's a really good hat
no reason, it's just hattenstance
Since when do you need a reason to wear a hat?
Ole hat trigger.... Focus on the pedal for Christ sakes. Take that shit to Twitter not here
For the thumbnail, so people will know to expect country picking. Think of all the disappointed viewers who would otherwise click on a video for a test of the Waylon Jennings phaser expecting Scandinavian death metal.
This video is all wrong. Sounds nuthin like Hoss
