Adding A Fuel Cooler To My Big Turbo Supras Custom Fuel System

- Hot fuel is never a good thing and something as cheap as $50 for a fuel cooler sounds like a deal to me. I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Unfortunately I can’t monitor it if it has helped because my software says -40F fuel temp. Obviously that isn’t correct. However I assume it will help a little. I have completed 93 tuning and have moved onto E85 and we will continue to add boost. Lastly a transmission sponsorship is huge and I’m excited! There will be tons of content coming for that in the future.

Damn bro! That's cool they sponsored your transmission build! I actually just ordered my stage 2 spool transmission kit today and forked out $4,250 between kit and aluminum pan gaskets etc. He actually did discount $200 off which was cool. Should be good, says it handles 1,000ft lb wheel torque
Oh yeah! I am extremely grateful for the opportunity. I will be posting quite a bit of UA-cam content on all of it. I’m sure yours will already be installed by the time I’m making the content though. 🤷♂️
Who's kit should I go with> Spool or ATS trans kit?
@starbai410 ats is tryed & trued. But I've heard great things about this spool performance stage 2 kit. Spool told me today he has sold about 30 kits to 30 shops and they have had no issues. Everything is measured for proper fit & clearances. Also spool kit comes with both C & E Hubs which is important for performance & durability. Ats stage 1.5 only has C hub, you have to get stage 2 ats kit to get both hubs. Ats said his kits will be available by end of month. Spool in stock now.
@@matthewchevres4970 yes sir! Spool for the win. I’ll be covering NY a bunch of details in a video soon. I’m really excited for the install. They are gonna break it all down in video for us.
@ShayHarambe couple weeks it will be. Waiting on precision 6870 next gen turbo, visconti valve cover, and klm ice box kit. Then will retune my flex fuel tune for new setup on dyno. Currently on stock trans with gen 2 6466. I'll be looking out for your content as always brother. I'll probably start a channel soon on mine
goaattttt
😎
So I spoke with spool performance and he did confirm the stage 2 transmission kit will hold up to 1,000ft lb torque "To Wheels" which is awesome. This gives us capability to go up to 7275 Next Gen Turbo if we wanted in future LoL
Sheeeesh! 1000 lb torque is some serious torque 😧 I can’t imagine what that feels like. It does seem like a good future proof plan though.
@ShayHarambe yes sir, exactly. As I'm sure you know it's always better to over build than just get by, especially if you are going to do dig pulls? Bro your 6466 when maxed out with get close to 800ft lb torque . My next gen 6870 which just came in today will also bring some torque!
don’t actually know what to comment this time 😂 so leaving this here to boost the algorithm
😂 Understandable. Next video is on fuel stuff too. Shocking right? 😂 Basically full process of what I posted on Instagram.
Good morning brother, by any chance did spool performance state if the stage 2 transmission kit holds 1,000ft lb torque to wheel or is it crank rating. Website only states it will handle 1,000ft Lb Torque and that's it. Lmk thank you
Not sure why but this comment never showed up on my new comment section until your newer comment. 🤷♂️
Fuel coolers and filters aren't talked about enough, especially when it comes to E85. Vapor lock isn't fun
Exactly I completely agree! After watching engine masters video on fuel coolers it shocked me how much it truly mattered.
what causes vapor lock?
@@starbai410 Heat. It's essentially when the fuel overheats and begins to boil, subsequently aerating the fuel system. On EFI engines, you're more likely to run into this issue if you're running multiple pumps simultaneously without any sort of sequence (Hobbs switch, PWM control). This condition can be exacerbated by other factors such as hot climate, inadequate fuel pump wiring, high amperage/output pumps, and physical limitations in the fuel system itself, including fuel filters.
