I'm 70 and when we wanted to go to drive in we would have grass cut, car washed and kind of beg&plead to go to the drive in,We had a 59 Chevy kingswood metallic rose w white top,GORGEOUS Car!. Before America was invaded by foreigners🇺🇸
@@packingten I'm 66. One of my first cars was a 67 Galaxy that had been a yellow cab in San Francisco (I lived in Sacramento). What a monster trunk for sneaking in friends to the drive in. And front and back seats were like vinyl sofas. Just the ticket for a frisky young man full of testosterone. Made some memories in that car. Put an Earl Scheib $29.95 paint job on it and cleaned it up good, sold it for $200 more than I paid for it ($300). Those were the days.
I wish it was me who bought it ! I’m in a wheelchair walk on crutches enough we’re I can drive, Owne a G-10 Chevy van short stile, vett 4bolt main, Hello Nonee crank and cam the roller rockers and TRW pistons/ All new front end, had I guy lie it finished, lowered A frame bares set in alignment pins Dropped one & half inch’s what should I have to expect to pay. Can you do the work for me?!!! This is the dream that I want to have I need to have come true I’m going on the 63 years old bro I just had my 99th surgery and I just want to do this I want to go up north I wanna just check out little town and buy one Acc 2 bedrooms
I did not find the sight for this YEOMAN. I did see it a few times on the web, but don't know if it's still for sale. I have a 2 Dr. YEOMAN, they are kool. Also have a BROOKWOOD,4 Dr, YEOMAN'S Big Brother. Both are 6 Pass.
Why wasn't THIS model deemed the Nomad, instead of relegating the name appropriately to the standard Brookwood wagon? I would love to grab an example requiring total restoration, do mild custom but keep the basic stock trim, Nomad tailgate and trim, eradicate the name Yeoman, and there we'd have a superstar one-off Nomad, that may be unflatteringly still called a Yeoman by lugubrious realists, but would now be.. .IN REALITY....THE '58 Nomad that never was. General Motors wasn't thinking in '58, as great a car, that's in a sense its' own peculiar sort of one year only one-off as all '58 Chevys arguably are.
The Nomad name was reserved for the top of the line model . There were two reasons why the two door Nomads were dropped after '57 , first off they were very expensive to build as the only body part that interchanged from the firewall back was the floorpan, second people didn't care for the inconvenience of a two door wagon and GM listened . They sold less than 23,000 two door Nomads , and more then that in '58 four door Nomads alone . Remember the part about being expensive to build, the four door versions shared more body panels with other cars , thus reducing costs per unit which equals more profit.
The Yeoman was a one-year-only (1958) offering in the Chevrolet line-up. It was the basic wagon model, trimmed like the Delray (the sedan equivalent). The Delray/Yeoman was dropped for '59, and the Biscayne became the base model that year.

I think the Air Force use this wagon cuz it was less expensive than the others back in the 50s
What is price tag?

Dude, I don’t know what kind of camera you used for this video, but it was the wrong choice! You move too fast for the thing to even focus!
Yeah, the car is beautiful but he needs to fire his cameraman.
I've seen these Yeoman's turned into 2 door NOMADS before, google it, they come up.........
