Nah, ACs are significantly smaller than modern fighter jets. The shockwave and displaced air would be worse because of the greater frontal area, but when you look at something like a Strike Eagle with a "fuck everything in that grid square" loadout it suddenly doesn't seem so bad.

Yea. AC4/4A was fun but it was also the worst AC game because speed and reflexes was almost the most important thing and your build wasnt that important. On top of that, due to the exaggerated speed, it made the missions and maps all mostly boring since all maps took place in a wide open space to give the Nexts room to QB everywhere and almost all missions could be completed in literally a few seconds 😂 not even joking when I say that the loading screens were longer than some of the missions.

i'm just glad both exist - i love the insanity of fa's high speed combat, but i also love the gritty nature of 6's more realistic armored cores. if the whole series was just fa's speed, it'd be boring. but it'd also be boring if we only ever went at ac3 speeds.
@@hikarihakai1285uh, no… 6 feels slower than 2, which is slower than pretty much any generation to date. I play a lot of ac2aa, and it’s the faster of 2nd gen. Still makes AC6 feel slow and less responsive movement wise. I can confidently say ACFA is the fastest though 😂

Imperial Night (40k) - 9-12 meters tall - 72 kmh Atlas (titanfall) - 20/25 feet tall - 22 kmh Mad Cat (Battletech) - 12 meters tall - 54 kmh Average Gundam (Mobile Suit) - 18 meters tall - 100kmh Valkyrie (Macross) - 7.3 meters tall - 160kmp running/Flight of 3,500 kmh Armored Core (AC6FoR) - 10 meters tall - 700/800 kmh. NEXT ( AC4A) 10 meters tall - 3800+ KMH at MAX speed?!?! 1400kmp avg. Macross speeds seem to be the closest to a NEXT but then we'll be having to talk about weapons and I really don't have measurements for that and would wildly very between settings. But to see a NEXT basically hit 3800/3900kmh is NUTS.

Except for Titanfall players who think they could beat one, and out of all Mech/Mecha players I was expecting the Imperial Knight player being the prideful ones. I just see a Pilot trying to board a NEXT only for it to quickboost just to either rip the Pilots arms off or just turn him into pink mist.

@@hikarihakai1285As a 5th gen fanboy I’ll actually contest that. 5th gen wasn’t slower, it just had viable heavy builds alongside the smaller faster ones. With the smaller more complex environments and the boost kick you could be like an angry wasp and way less predictable. I think people see 6 as faster because it involves true flight, but my midweight in VD easily covers more of it’s own lengths in GlideBoost than my midweight in FoR does in AssaultBoost. The smaller builds in VD could be unreasonably fast and floaty compared to say the difference between Steel Haze and Mad Haze.

Maybe it’d be better for me to say that I think the fastest in Gen5 feels faster than the fastest in Gen6, but the slowest in Gen5 is also slower than the slowest in Gen6. Like Gen5 has a wider range of speed and movement possibilities while Gen6 has a more closely clamped range of speeds, so when I try to make something fast and agile in 6 it still feels like the wheelchair in 6 which is still stupid fast for a tank but nothing like what I expect from a lightweight, but in 5 when I swap from my Tank or Quad to my Lightweights I feel like I changed from a brick into a missile.
