    10:52 Absolutely Wicked Sound...!
    it sounded more like a Supercharged Muscle Car, despite being a shaft Driven V-Twin! That was sonorous, a symphony, what a bike!!

    traded my HD fatboy for this bellisima italian machine and 20K miles later, still a big smile on my face, in both, short and long trips (just added the tall windshield) and is a very enjoyable ride.

    I bought this bike in may 19 and have put over 32k miles on it. I can't stop riding!!
    I get looks, comments and thumbs up every ride. I rode it 850 miles in 14 hrs and I didn't want to get off.
    I will never get rid of this bike.
    Oh I took off the carbon disc and looks much better and doesn't get worked over with a cross wind.

      Hi Mike. Post a pic of your bike without the Carbon wheel covers. Would love to see the look. :-)

      It's so cool to hear owners stories about these bikes, thanks for sharing Mike. That's some serious mileage! Moto Guzzi has definitely built something special here! Good call on removing the carbon covers, I'm sure it transformed the bike completely!

      @@bendupreez you can't add photos here but I saw one on a guzzi forum, not sure which one. In my opinion it looks much better. Cleaner.

      Hey Mike, How to the bags compare to say a Street Glide? Also is there a passenger sissy bar option somewhere?

    As a Moto Guzzi California Audace 1400 owner I approve this video!! The big block Moto Guzzi engine 1400 platform is one of the best bikes that not many people know about!! This bikes handle beautifully they have grate brakes plenty of ground clearance in the bends and the engine is an absolute killer! It is not HD vtwin it is an Italian 90 degrees V-twin that likes to rev put 8n in veloce mode keep the revs between 4.500-7000rpm and this bike is absolutely flying!! Best description of the way my Audace rides is to say it rides like a big naked bike XJR1300 or a GSX1400 then a normal cruiser!

      Thanks so much! We 100% agree! If you haven't ridden these bikes, you simply won't understand the magic that is Moto Guzzi! Ride safe friend.

    Totally agree with your assessment of the MGX-21. I have one and love to ride it. There are a ton of Road Glides and Street Glides on the road, but, I've yet to have another MGX pull up next to me!

    I fell in love with this bike when it came out. However, I long distance tour putting around 25k to 30k miles a year. I’m lucky to have 2 Guzzi dealers near me but what happens when I’m in the middle of nowhere and need a part? That’s the drawback to using a Euro bike for touring in America. Little dealer support. There is a Harley dealer within 100 miles just about anywhere you go. I went with a Honda Africa Twin. You can always find a Honda dealer near you if you break down.

    • @MotoTribeTV
      @MotoTribeTV  3 роки тому

      Yep you're 100% correct on that point. Dealer support is very important. The weird thing about motorcycles is, we often buy with our hearts and end up hoping for the best. Congrats on picking up your AT though, great bike!

      I've been a Guzzi rider since 1986 and never let the dealer or parts situation bother me. Before I went Guzzi, I rode Kawasaki and Suzuki. Dealers everywhere but with the vast range of models they never had anything I needed in stock. Always backordered. With a bike like the MGX, you're not going to find parts anywhere, especially if you drop it and need a bag cover or heaven forbid, crack the fairing. My only Guzzi at this point is my '86 LeMans IV and short of used parts on Ebay or a forum, body parts are non-existent. Accepting that bodywork is going to be a problem, the electronics on new bikes are the biggest concern for me as a DIY owner. But even then, Guzzi forums have information on scan tools, software, etc.

    Infamous Cam Issues.
    Had Guzzi's all my life; since 1978. Bought a 1200 Stelvio, (6000 miles) cam's went! Piagio (6 month wait for parts) replaced them under recall but charged me for labour, oil and filter.
    At 8000 miles, cam's went again!! Piago said: "another 6 month wait, and another £380 labour, oil, filter".
    No chance of purchase refund as others also attempted, by taking Guzzi to court.
    I decided to leave the Stelvio uncovered in my garden to rust, it's £9000 of rust now, but a very sound reminder to Never buy Guzzi ever again!!

    Love your video except for calling it a “giant Vespa” 🤦🏻‍♂️ It’s more of a work of art. Went from a Harley to the MGX21 and felt like I went from a tractor to a cruiser Ducati. Dream bike

    Terrific review, I wish you reviewed it before I bought it! I just wanna say you are spot on everything... ie the flightly front end while at highway speeds is very annoying, to say the least, if not downright unsettling. I think that's the biggest flaw with this bike, everything else I can deal with. Motto Guzzi is supposedly known for rigorous wind tunnel testing how did that get by them? Motto tribe was spot on with the front end flopping in corners, which is also annoying. You definitely have to have your wits about you when riding this bike let alone a significant amount of experience. I currently own the Honda Valkyrie (2014) bought it new, which is a dream to ride... low speeds, high speeds, corning you name it, it's simply a master class in how to design and build an all-around hyper cruiser... But then again it's a HONDA!
    Suzuki Hayabusa bought it new in 2007 a monster bike, hair-trigger fast but still easier to handle than the MGX-21, Yamaha V-Star 1100, (2005) great bike bought it new, a dream easy to handle, bulletproof, great power can kill any bike in its class. Then there's the X-21, it's an anomaly, great looks something other than a Harley, decent power above 5 grand, however, would I do it all over again? probably not. In the end, It's not a Honda, however, it's endearing, it has a certain charm to it, not sure if I would ever let it go.

    • @MotoTribeTV
      @MotoTribeTV  3 роки тому +2

      Thanks for the kind words Imani! There are definitely bikes that do it better than the Flying Fortress (the Valkyrie for sure!) but that charm you mentioned is what makes it so special. It can't be quantified, only felt. And only the lucky few get to know that feeling! Ride safe

      Don't belive you own or even rode an mgx21. It's by far the better bike of all of them you mentioned. Valkyrie or hayabusas drive like tanks in comparison

      Sadly it sounds like 2020 was the last year of production for the MGX-21. This makes them a bit of a rare gem. But it looks like Moto Guzzi has some interesting projects in the pipeline so maybe they replace it with something awesome in the near future. Fingers crossed!

    Sparse dealer network in North America is major factor for Limited Sales. Getting parts and service big problem. No Thanks!

    • @MotoTribeTV
      @MotoTribeTV  3 роки тому +1

      You're absolutely right. With all of the challenges the Piaggio Group has had to overcome, expanding their dealer network will prove to be their biggest hurdle if they are to truly crack the market not only in North America, but globally.
