    Omg, okay so six years ago I got my first guitar for my birthday, I was ten, and I had no clue how to play anything, once I found your videos they were the most helpful things ever, now I play for a church, a school, and I have my own band, literally owe it all to you. I never could get one of your e-books, and I always wanted one, but instead I just watched your videos and applied them to playing guitar in general, and now I play guitar all the time and I'm planning on making a career of it, now I'm watching this video and having all these memories flood back to me of your other videos, I just want to say thank you for teaching me practically everything I know, I hope we can meet someday and jam in a few years or so lol

    If you're struggling with the bar chords, you can always put your capo on the 2nd fret and play the chords, G, B7, Em, D in the strumming pattern as this guy :)

    I have gotten very far and learned a lot from your videos since I started a year and a half ago, and I think what I like most about your lessons, Marty, is how you teach the style and groove and not just the chords. Anybody could go online and find the chords, but you teach the beginners and intermediate players how to make it sound like the real song. In fact, I first learned how to play with a reggae style on your lesson for Santeria by Sublime. Thank you.

    a messege to anyone struggling with bar chords.
    dont worry about it. try it. practice it. as soon as it gets fustrating move onto a non bar chord song. it WILL eventually come to you.
    i remember practicing this song. couldnt get it atall n gave up after alot of fustration. then i played for a few months n came back to it after never practicing bar chords and BAM my fingers just did the business. Learning guitar is a strange process, but you just gotta remember to relax and enjoy it :) goodluk

    @GuitarEmily12 Marty is such a fantablous guitar player!!! I learn sooo many songs from watching this guy jam! I would like to point out one thing though; notice how Marty is holding the guitar on his right leg - this is naturally uncomfortable because your muscles are all bunched up and your left wrist cannot relax and operate. If you're right haned, try placing the guitar on your left leg instead. This may free up the wrist & rid pain. If you're left handed, put the guitar on the right leg.

    Guys, this song is really simple on guitar if you can just make one barre chord. You dont have to know others, just if you can form one barre chord. Then it will come easily and you will learn the entire. Thats why Marty wrote the title "easy song" because its easy. Maybe not for an entire beginner who hasn played for over one month but its easy.

    @Toft107 @Toft107 thats just a normal guitar as opposed to a nylon strung classical guitar an easy tip is to check out the headstock, the spanish classicals nearly always have holes cut into the headstock and they dont have steel strings just nylon and are plucked with nails.
    Im by no means an expert (or i wouldnt be here!) so im sure someone more experienced will know some more differences .
    Good luck with the learning , by finding Martys channel you have made the best start .

  • @88matty88
    @88matty88 13 років тому

    For people struggling with the bad chords, i suggest learn them because they help alot lol but if you still want to learn this with normal chords, place your capo on the 2nd fret and the chords are G, B7, Em, D with the same strumming pattern as this guy :)
