I’m learning guitar at 55yrs old and want to be able to play things I feel ! Some these classical pieces just resonate inside of me just like some acoustic blues does too and you show they can be just as sweet on a steel string guitar 😳👍🏻👍🏻
congratulations on being a father! I always had a feeling that classical training would give one a solid foundation to build on & you're proof of that! I guess you trained with a classical guitar too ... when did you move on to steel string & electrics. Would be an idea to make a video of your guitar journey
I stopped playing guitar for almost 16 years. Some of those pieces you are playing are familiar to my ears and it urges me to pick up my guitar for one more time. You have inspired me alot.
Congrats on the new joyful arrival. The first classical piece was hair raising. The tonal quality of your guitar playing has inspired me to learn guitar at this late age. Hope you continue to inspire others. God Bless you and your family.
Great video. As a side note, @11:21 you say: "why didn't I write this; why didn't I think of writing this. The second section is unbelievable"--then you go on to play a piece that begins with the first three chords of a progression from the Hollies "The Air I Breathe" or the first 3 chords of the chorus to Radiohead's "Creep." If you travel long enough down this journey we call music, one finds there are many paths leading to the same place. Just a thought.
Hi Tom. Thanks for pointing this out. I agree with you 100%. At the end of the day, we all have access to the same set of notes, right? Yes, I used the same chord progression many times, but I never though of playing it with that unique set of voicings and chords. ☀️🎸
Congrats for you babe , you’re going to be an amazing father and i wish the best for you and your the greatest guitar player ever , you inspire me a lot to keep going , thank you for everything, and never stop keep it up ♥️.
This brings back good memories. I learned classical guitar from a wonderful teacher, with the Carcassi Guitar Method book. Every once in a while I get that book out and play those exercises. Simple, but so elegant and beautiful.
Absolutely, please teach some of these beautiful short classical pieces. Many of those exercises are quite melodic and that's what I love in the guitar.
I absolutely 100% loved this video! It took me back to my days of learning piano. I was taught/studied in a very similar manner. And most certainly, I would love to learn some of this material. Teach away Maestro!
Thank you for sharing a look at your beautiful child! Take good care if him and give him your undivided attention for the first 10 years at least and of course start his guitar journey by the time he is two years of age! I hope to be around to see his first Solo!
Thank you for writing the music for download. Since I realised that part 2 of Sagreras still had to be written I ordered Le seconde Lezioni di Chitarra online and have just finished writing the tabs. Very confusing when you are a beginner with tabs and not a prolific reader of music. This shows a lot of work on your part, thank you. What programme do you use for writing the music and tabs? I have been using either Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word and then writing the lines afterwards, perhaps you can enlighten us? Your playing of Sagreras lesson 6 showed a lot of feeling and expression that was not shown by others playing this piece. The only difference I am going to add to the music are chord tabs because they are not familiar to me and in the hope they will help me to learn it faster. So happy to be a patroen.
First of all a big congrats for your lovely baby. Being blessed with such a lovely child. Been following your tutor and playing but my left hand is'nt sounding clear.
Fantastic video and playing. Thank you for introducing me to these pieces. If you write your own music, this kinda stuff is scary, because it's so beautiful, but in many ways so simple. Melody, voice leading, dynamics. The pulsing tempo... So effective
I vote for more Sagreras!!! The Carcassi piece reminds me of the Cirillo piece that I play from memory every day, for warm up. He titled it, "The Most AWESOME Way to Practice SCALES on Guitar." Lol. The name aside, it's a lovely scale etude. Did I already say more Sagreras, please?
Congratulations to you, your spouse and the beautiful child. It's ironic really, as I sit here watching your video, I'm getting text from NV as my dear daughter is having her first child. Thanks for sharing Marco.
Fantastic video Marco! In answer to your question... "Yes, please, some classical pieces and lessons". I have found your other lessons helpful for fingerpicking techniques, eg, your lesson on Carcassi, Op 60, no. 7. Very helpful indeed and more like this would be very welcomed! Thanks Marco! Beautiful baby btw! Congratulations!
Vorrei poter suonare bene come te, Marco. Complimenti con il cuore. Suoni pulito, preciso e con molto sentimento e i tuoi consigli e le tue lezioni sono molto utili e preziose.
Hey Marco, first - congratulations to this cute piece of... Human 😃😉 concerning the music - That piece at 11:25 is lovely indeed 👍 All the best from Ger and stay healthy!
I was wondering how it was going for you and your wife with the new baby. He is beautiful! My niece had a son around the first of February, too. Such sweetness. So is the lovely music. Thanks for sharing the beautifulness!
Loving your videos so much lately, fatherhood has been good for your channel. You seem a lot more at peace despite being exhausted (It’s a dad thing lol). Keep up the great work, fun to find out you’re a 1984 kid also! Side note - What guitar model is you Furch (that is what that is right?). I only ask because it sounds amazing and looks like it plays like a dream. I mean clearly you’re why it sounds THAT good, but still 🤣
you re such a sweet , delight , - a pleasure to watch n learn from you ^^ - congratz to your baby - its a huge life changer indeed , in good n tough way same ^^ - i ve 2 sons its a blessing n a challenge - best wishes , your grateful fan, rainer
Very Beautiful As Always 🤩, I wanted to know in slow fingerstyle pieces instead of plucking two string togather you play the second string with slight delay what that thing is called how can someone practice for that?
Wow..your plying are fantastic. You play beautifully. I am using that second book you have shown. 25 melodies by matteo carcassi. I want those book which I don't have but no way I can get them. It difficult to get a music books in my remote village in the state of Meghalaya, Shillong, India.
Marco, my nails are so soft and perl back to the nub. I want more sound from my strings as I play with skin if not using a pick. Can you recommend finger picks? I'm thinking acrylic or gel nails will only cause me problems up the road. I tried strengthening polishes, useless.i use steal strings, have yet to buy a nylon string guitar. And, I love you vids! Thank you.
Hey, Marco, I've gone through most of your lessons and I've not even seen a lesson on ear tuning and knowing how to find the key of a song. I'll appreciate if you'll help me on this. Thanks Emmy
Quick question: I'd like to learn fingerstyle guitar. I also work in a hospital, and long nails are a no-go for infection control reasons (which TBH I think everyone is pretty okay with). Any ideas to get around fingerstyle with short nails while still sounding relatively decent? I mean, to be fair I'm not gonna be performing, just enjoying making music. But advice is always greatly appreciated.
Please tech us some of those I'm really into fringer style playing and I wanna improve .. well I don't know what r those. Symbols , are they some chord progression?
Wishing you happiest congratulations for becoming a dad and continue giving good lessons
Thanks a lot Uma ☀️🎸

I would love it if you taught some of those pieces; please start with some simpler ones
I’ll definitely record videos with simple classica pieces soon ☀️🎸
Marco …. You and I need to discuss the definition of beginner …. Lol. This is so beautiful. You are an excellent teacher
You’re one incredible role model brother 💓
Love from India 🇮🇳

Absolutely. Elegant is the perfect word to describe his music 🎸☀️
I like the last part of the 4th book. It's so lovely, it just takes away, it's just melancholy.

I have not been looking at patreon for a while and am so happy to see the baby. Congratulations.
Great video Marco, your boy is the most beautiful part of the video, the music is a close second. Congratulations, and God bless your family.
Congratulations for being blessed with a baby 👶🏻💐 Thanks for this lesson 🎸

Finally a steel play actually can read musical notes efficiently!
You are so melodious! Just awesome
Yes....I would like to work on some of these
Coming soon :)
I like playing the exercise pieces from Ferdinando Carulli, easy to play, but beautiful. :)
First of all a big congrats for your lovely baby. Being blessed with such a lovely child.
