  • Welcome back to A&G Farm! In today's video, we faced an unexpected challenge when all our chickens got out of the run. To prevent them from flying out again and causing havoc in our garden, around our house, and in the neighbor's yard, we decided to clip their wings.
Join us as we show you the process of safely clipping chicken wings and explain how it helps us manage our free-range flock. This simple technique keeps our homestead in order and ensures that our chickens stay safe and out of trouble.
As part of our 30-day homesteading challenge, we're uploading a video every single day this month. Stay tuned for more daily updates and adventures from the homestead!
Thanks for watching! If you enjoyed this video, please give it a thumbs up and consider subscribing for more homesteading tips and tricks.

I never cut my hens feathers. I have a 8 foot tall fence all around my coop and they gave never flown over it. Would never do that.

That’s what we did in the beginning, but we decided to drop the fence and trim feathers. Both ways are perfectly fine.
