I read of your story independently in Father Rookeys Book. He had been healing since 1949. My wife fell in the Lord with Father Jimmy Collins 12 years ago and was out 20 minutes a 4.5ft 80 year old Priest she was 35 and 5.8 . My Priest told us in Mass today in Holy Week about the Lady he blessed 5 years ago who he healed through Prayer of terminal Cancer. Father Rookey was featured in a story on MaryTV, Linda Christy, video 060 and 299 Fruits of Medjugorje. She talks about him on video 299 where Linda Christy states that Rookey knew that she would have a healing in Medjugorje without his prayers, so he never prayed over her so that God and Mary would get all the glory. She was nearly crippled from spinal deformities and was healed.

Yes it is possible that the enemy of our souls can perform miracles. But it is Jesus alone that died on the Cross of Calvary to pay for our sins. No dead "saint" could ever take His position. I respect and am glad this man no longer is suffering. But remember Satan is also an imposter and can appear as light. Read Exodus chapter 7 and see how the devil's workers copied God's miracles. Very beautiful story! All my life (I am now 59) I have struggled with OCD, Anxiety, depression, ect. I am selfishly asking for prayers.

I read of your story independently in Father Rookeys Book. He had been healing since 1949. My wife fell in the Lord with Father Jimmy Collins 12 years ago and was out 20 minutes a 4.5ft 80 year old Priest she was 35 and 5.8 . My Priest told us in Mass today in Holy Week about the Lady he blessed 5 years ago who he healed through Prayer of terminal Cancer. I say because he prayed over her 5 years ago he didn't see her till this week and two days after the blessing her terminal cancer disappeared she told him. She had gone to a neighbouring Parish so he didn't know the success of his prayers till this week

I went to a healing service. The priest seemed disappointed that I didn't fall over. I was disappointed that I was still depressed. Later I was at an apparition of Our Lady. I still had my mental cross, but realized my diarrhea was cured. God has a sense of humor.

Father Rookey was featured in a story on MaryTV, Linda Christy, video 060 and 299 Fruits of Medjugorje. She talks about him on video 299 where Linda Christy states that Rookey knew that she would have a healing in Medjugorje without his prayers, so he never prayed over her so that God and Mary would get all the glory. She was nearly crippled from spinal deformities and was healed.

We also agree that we should follow Jesus and do whatever He tells us.
Mary is just like any human being who can pray for other human beings just as Paul exhorted us to do. Why would your mom be able to pray for you but not Mary the mother of Jesus?

Confessing your sins to one another and praying for one another was addressed to believers and not about praying to or for dead, to Mary, saints or anyone but God through Jesus. Yes we can all pray but only for each other in this life when dead we can't pray as people have their own salvation to be accountable for and if they rejected Jesus as Lord and Saviour in this life they have made THEIR decision. We only pray through our One mediator Jesus. It's Holy trinity not holy family that's in the bible. Mary, saints and the dead are not omniscient, they can't hear or answer our prayers.
Don't you see we are all accountable for our own salvation otherwise what is point of 'Repent' 'Believe' 'Confess' 'Give us this day our daily bread (not just physical this is Word of God) . Praying to dead is not biblical.

For 1500 years the Catholic Church was the only Christian church (the split with Orthodox in 1000 was over minor differences) and even Luther honored the saints and the BVM as intercessors. Yes it is possible that the enemy of our souls can perform miracles. But it is Jesus alone that died on the Cross of Calvary to pay for our sins. No dead "saint" could ever take His position. I respect and am glad this man no longer is suffering. But remember Satan is also an imposter and can appear as light. Read Exodus chapter 7 and see how the devil's workers copied God's miracles. Beware of false teachers and do not worship a religion, but put your trust in Jesus Christ alone!

If a miracle happens while Jesus is proclaimed it cannot be the work of Satan. Satan would never want you to believe in Jesus Christ. What many don't understand with Mary is that Catholics don't worship her as God. We give special veneration to her, but ultimately she is an intercessor for us to God, just like Moses was for Israel, or Abraham for Sodom and Gomorrah for Lot, or Esther for Israel. Intercession means to position yourself before those who deserve judgment and God. By your humbling faith God can be merciful to those who otherwise would have deserved judgment. This is the role of Mary now in our times and she is very much alive and has a glorified body, the same that we will inherit at our resurrection, if we make it to the end of the line. Mary partakes in God's glory because she is united with her son, who is God. That's why she is able to hear prayers or to miraculously appear like a heavenly being, because that's what God exalted her to become.
