He thought of himself as a philosophical entertainer, and this is exactly the philosophy-as-entertainment that he talked about and wanted. Pure entertainment and pure enlightenment mixed together. I comment on a lot of your videos, but Meaningwave has seriously been my go-to music for almost a year now starting with JPB wave 5, and the music you've created since then has really helped change my life. Alan loved to narrate the dance between the most serious realities of existence with the light hearted, fun loving innocence and humor of a school boy. Alan would rail on for minutes, in a deadly serious manner, about the answer to a question he had posed, and then at the end of it, with the audience in pensive silence, he would, using just a few words, would metaphorically flip over the table of thoughts that he had just carefully set up, and get the whole audience hall in an uproar like it was a comedy show. The journey of playing out the ideas and questions we keep bumping our minds into is the point of the whole exercise! Always! At every moment of time! "The universe is playful" he used to say. This point never fades or concedes to some other higher priority, ever, it's always the case as long as we're around to experience experience! Akiras' music is an embodiment of the same ethos. The most serious questions we have joyously explored with music, you get your soul stirred to a beat, your mind blown with base, and your heart massaged while you laugh, cry and smile through the whole thing.
