- Hi Everyone
Welcome back and thanks for tuning in to part 4. Primer stage.
This stage is a massive time sponge with endless sanding, putty application, more sanding and taping up bits and pieces.
If you haven't already subscribed please consider doing so. It takes just a second and it really helps.
Kind Regards
Darren

Thanks Darren, really enjoying the Sportivo refresh. Great colour
Thanks mate.
Good work mate cant wait to see it in the end. One of a kind Sportivo!
Thanks mate. I'm looking forward to getting it all back together.
Well done man..Cant wait to see the end product.
i need to get my Sportivo front end looked at, hopefully this year.
You are lucky your car is white. I wanted a white sportivo but grabbed the silver one because the deal was too good.
Love this series
Thanks. Hopefully you'll love the end result.
@@desirabledrives44 i love it already
Thank you. I'm finishing the Nardo Grey this weekend weather permitting so I'll upload part 5 next week. I'm really happy with the results considering it's my first attempt at spraying a car.
@@desirabledrives44 Thats awesome to hear i cant wait to see part 5!
Gutsy effort mate, should look smick in black.
The black roof will be a good contrast against the Nardo grey.
It's definitely a steep learning curve considering the most I've ever done is rattle can touch ups.
Hey mate. I'm from across the pond and recently stumbled across your channel. I've picked up a low kms rs180 allex. (32,000kms) and have been slowly doing it up over the last year. Just want to tell you mate that I've been loving your videos and I'm using you as inspiration for my own little build
MInes also the standard silver, Dime a dozen here. Honestly I'm thinking about white and blacking out a couple things without making it look trashie.
Thanks mate. 32,000ks is so low.
What kind of mods are you doing?
@@desirabledrives44 So far i've lowered it on Jamex super lows, K&N pod with sensor adaptor, changed grille to the mesh one and only just yesterday put on some SSR knockoff 16x7 wrapped in 205/60r16 goodyear eagle f1 sports for a really meaty tyre look (Need to slightly roll front guards now). Next on the list is a decat exhaust with a couple resonators to get rid of the annoying rice sound these things make and also going to pick up one of those T sport spoilers that they get in the UK
@@kohipook1445 Sounds really nice.
Hey are those TRD mesh style grilles common over there?
I've been chasing one for 4 years and no luck.
@@desirabledrives44 Hey there, yeah they're reasonably common. They pop up every now and then for sale but they sell pretty quickly. I can keep a eye out for you if you'd like.
Ain't no body got time 4 this..well mabey 3 or 4 seconds..
Unfortunately the project time frame has blown out to nearly double what I thought it would. It's crazy how long little things take.
A prime example was taking the rear hatch off. What should have been a 10 min job turned into 4 hours because the wiring loom got stuck in the frame of the hatch (thanks Toyota engineers).
Another time sponge is stuffing up a section of paint. You have to let it cure for 7 days before respraying because the thinners in the new paint react with the partly cured paint.
It's a steep learning curve but it's enjoyable.
Thanks for the comment
