    I do appreciate your comment about coming out of perfection. I want so much to enjoy my crafting at a new level. I’m 60 now and my eyesight and dexterity is not what it was. I’m an accountant and I am tired of the tedium of absolutes, I want to joyfully fly and experience my crafting in all its good outcomes and embracing the stumbles along the way - and like Gayle A I say “that’s ok” and I smile and craft on. Thank you Cat for your videos - in this crazy world I can feel joy crafting along with you.

      Your comment about being 60 with poor eyesight grabbed my heart. Thought I'd share with you that I'm 79 and went for new glasses last November. Was told I had cataracts. Short story: got removed, IOL's in, no pain. Can read without glasses. True colors restored! Like a miracle. Perhaps you could check if this solution would apply to you. Btw, I was informed that the majority of people by age 60 have cataracts. Wishing you the best, and joyful crafting!

      @@reginakeller3038 Thank you so much for your comment. I have auto immune issues and my eyesight is in the condition it's in because of chronic iritis, but I have a great doc. I had the lens in my left eye replace with an artificial lens when I was in my 40's due to severe cataracts cause by steroid drops and other complications. My right eye does have a cataract but at this time it is not developed enough to be replaced. The surgery can set off my immune system so our plan is not to do it until it becomes unmanageable, and I'm not there yet. I still work and drive only using reading type corrective lens. My left eye can't be corrected it has damage to the retina, my right eye is sort of in normal aging with a few extra issues. But still my passion is crafting I have a room dedicated to it. So I work hard, so I can play hard. Again, thank you for your suggestion, it's appreciated.

    So much fun to watch, I feel the joy you get from making your little pieces of art with your roladex treasures and your tags! I am a crafter too, but only in the past few weeks that I have been very interested in the roladex craze. I have dabbled in many crafts over my 60 plus years, so my wheels are spinning while watching, how can I put my life of crafting into a teeny tiny piece of art to enjoy, either with tags, roladex cards or in a journal. Feelings of excitement, joy! Thanks so much for your inspirational videos.

      Thank you, Elizabeth. Yes, I get a tremendous amount of joy from creating these little cards! I usually just use my leftover scraps from previous projects and then add an image and/or words. It’s very rewarding to use the little pieces, that are often just thrown in the trash, to make something fun. I’m so glad that you are excited to give it a go! Happy creating! 😊😊😊

    That perfection can be a killer! I started getting over it in grad school, but still found it hard to share my work until recently. The 24th card thing reminds me of Jung's concept of synchronicity, the meaningful coincidence. Ember

    • @ultraviolet13881
      @ultraviolet13881 4 роки тому

      I wasn't familiar with that concept, Neora, and I researched it a bit and found it SO interesting! I have a concept of my own, and I call it the "What Are the Odds" theory, and it's stuff for example like when you go to turn in your driveway at 3 a.m. and there are no other cars on the road anywhere that you can see and (we live on a main road) EXCEPT FOR the one that goes right by you in the opposite direction in front of your driveway at the exact time that you're going to turn in! Start noticing this, and you'll see that it happens all the time! I found out that there's actually a name for this phenomena too, but I can't remember the actual name for it. But for me the important thing is to tell my grandchildren, when they start driving, about the concept. It's sort of like always expecting the unexpected. Anyway, I believe in God and that He actually has things in His control, and when things happen that you don't understand, the most important "concept" to remember is that He will RESTORE all things one day -- that's a promise! Sorry for such a lengthy reply; also, that synchronicity happens OFTEN in your work, Cat, i've made note of it numerous times when you happened to mention it, and I bet it happens even more often than that! The cards are beautiful, as always!! TFS :)

      Thanks, Andrea! 😊 My table surface is a piece of masonite board that I covered with wood-look contact paper. Here's a link to the one I have: amzn.to/2ZnhStd
      It's good for filming and non-messy projects, but a teflon-coated craft mat is still the best surface for paint, glue, etc., as it cleans up MUCH easier.
