I was raised Catholic and would’ve sworn it was the “church Jesus founded” UNTIL I ACTUALLY READ THE BIBLE and here is the key; by the Spirit of God, I was able to let is speak for itself! I was surprised to learn the religion of my youth isn’t even in scripture! You’ll find no Catholics, no popes, no praying to saints, no infant baptisms, no priestly celibacy, no Immaculate Conceptions, no throwing "holy water" on bad guys, no eucharist, no penance, no mass, no canonizations, nor will you find countless other catholic, man-made ideas. What I did find is that salvation is found in a man, the man Jesus Christ. He said "I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the father BUT BY ME.( John 14:6) " I am now a Christian to the praise of his glorious grace." ( Ephesians 1 )

THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IN THE BIBLE Jesus started a teaching and preaching church, not a Bible only church: Mt. 16:18-19 - And I say to you that you are Rock, and upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. (Rev. 1:18 - Jesus has keys of death and Hades. Is. 22:22 Eliakim has key of house of David. 1 Tim 3:15 - The Church (not the Bible) is the pillar and foundation of truth. Mt. 18:15-18 - Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that 'by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector. "Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Mt. 28:19 - Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you. (In this verse, Jesus, isn't starting a religion based on a book. He is starting a teaching and preaching authoritative church. Heb. 13:7, 17 - Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct... Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you. Acts 2:3-6; - It talks about the laying on of hands to ordain and give authority. Most Protestant churches do not have this. Acts 13:2-3 - The Holy Spirit said to set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work which I have called them to do. Then having fasted and prayed, they laid hands upon them and sent them away. (laying on of hands and imparting of authority. These verses show an authoritative church) Eph. 4:11-12 - And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ Deacons: Philippians 1:1 - Paul and Timothy, bond-servants of Christ Jesus, To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, including the overseers and deacons 1 Timothy 3:8-13 - Deacons likewise must be men of dignity, not double-tongued, or addicted to much wine or fond of sordid gain, but holding to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. These men must also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons if they are beyond reproach read more. Bishops: 1 Tim 3:1-7 (1 Tim. 5:17) - It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do. An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money. Tradition: 1 Thess. 2:15 (and 3:6) - Stand fast and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by written epistle. (Bible says there is good tradition we must hold to) Confession: Jn. 20:21-23 - "Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, so I also send you." And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained." (Confession) Baptism: 1 Peter 3:21 - Baptism now saves you. Mark 16:16 - says: He who believe and is baptized will be saved. Eucharist: John 6:51-55 - I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever, and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world... Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Mt. 26:26 - Jesus raised the bread and said, "This is my body." Necessity of Good works: Mt. 25:31-46 - "When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate them one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, and he will place the sheep at his right hand, but the goats at the left. Then the King will say to those at his right hand, 'Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink? And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee? And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?' And the King will answer them, 'Truly, say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.' Then he will say to those at his left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.' Then they also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see thee hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to thee?' Then he will answer them, Truly, I say to you, as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me.' And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." 1 John 2:3-4 - Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (Must follow the commandments. Not faith alone) Celibacy: Matthew 19:11-12 and 1 Corinthians 7 7-9; 32-34 Mt. 19:1-9 talks about divorce and remarriage.
We have to pray for mercy on this poor woman. This college she attends has her tripping over the question of the sinful nature of sexual immorality. "Homosexuality isn't a sin, which it's not. It shouldn't be." She is a part of the Catholic faith, but she doesn't seem to KNOW it very well, which is what Todd is quickening on to but not exploiting. This was a good exchange between two people who can show respect for the other.
The Catholics are mislead. She needs to be SDA, we hold the good news he speaks of and we also follow health laws, all the commandments, etc. she is so lost 😢
Not sure if that was exactly the case. When Todd mentions Purgatory, he doesn't seem to understand what he's speaking about. There is no "working off for your salvation" in Catholicism. This is why I became disillusioned with Protestantism. I started to see how people manipulate the information (or lack there of).
@@AdventistHomemaker No. She's just misinformed and does not understand her faith well. But that's the case for both Protestants and Catholics. There's more problems with his conception of Christianity which could be answered. But I've never seen him actually debate theologians/apologists on the other side. He said read the bible. That's precisely how I started to get disillusioned with Protestantism (alongside speakers like him that do not understand other Christian dogmas). Our family has been reading (chapter by chapter) the New Testament and have seen that much aligns with Catholicism. We started to realize that there's a lot of truth in what they say and a lot of falsehood in what Protestants say about Catholics (intentional or not).
Why there is so much confusion is because you start reading at Matthew. Jesus told the Pharisees, " if you knew Moses you would know me cause he wrote of me". If you only read the NT you don't get the full picture and you may think you're ok until one day you discover that you don't have enough oil, and the doors close on the great wedding feast and you're too late. Read the WHOLE book.
Amen! People forget we need to get to know the Father and His ways or we cannot possibly understand Messiah and His words! The Old Testament sets the stage for Christ, and He is throughout the OT. This is one of Christianities biggest downfalls..they see the OT as irrelevant and the NT as it's replacement. God does not make mistakes that need to be scratched! So thankful to have read your comment, I pray more can seek the wisdom that is throughout the OT...and it's not called Old because it's obsolete!
Awesome!!! My kinda people here!!!! If you overcome apprehension of ever reading Revelation, everything within hinges upon something throughout the OT Scriptures . . . to read Revelation, makes you want to go right back & read from Genesis on all over again!!!

These always bring me to tears. What most people need is pain in life to be able to look at the cross and truly understand. Or when they are on their deathbed and are cowards and can’t walk into death alone after slamming God their entire life.
Like the Stations of the Cross? (The events of Jesus before He was crucified, from being condemned to being nailed to the cross.) *By the way, why do Roman Catholics use crucifixes while Protestants use crosses?*
@@kevinphillips150 I would venture to guess that the reason Protestants use a cross while Catholics use a crucifix is that Catholics don't mind idolatry while Protestants do.
@@kevinphillips150 Christian cross is empty, Christ got taken down off that cross, buried & raised from death . . .Jesus died ONCE for the sins of all who would believe in Him as the only SON of GOD; communion is to REMEMBER His sacrifuce for us & promise to return for us. Catholic cross keeps the torment & pain HE endured on the cross & crucify HIM over & over every time they partake of bread & wine as HIS body & blood, must confess to another human instead of the new covenant Jesus put in place, to come to Him directly & personally, they remember His suffering instead of remembering what He did for us to save us.

whatever church she is going too has failed her, she understands some peripheral information but none of the important stuff. The moment she starts questioning "which god in the bible?" you can tell she is truly lost.
she was not questioning the God of the bible, she was questioning the gods of other belief systems, including Mormonism. "unless you eat of My body, and drink of my blood" sent many away, why? And the apostles, when asked of Jesus, are you going to leave too? Said, where will we go? Read deeper behind the story, and seek, Jesus gives the right answers to a heart that is seeking
That’s the whole Roman Catholic church in general. I know I grew up in and around Catholics and went to Catholic school. I’m not saying evangelicals or Protestants are perfect, but it’s common that most Catholics don’t know what they believe and simply “inherited” the faith.
She’s confused thinking that there’s more than one God and savior. Mary was never devine. God simply brought His son to this lost world so that we might be saved. And Mary and Joseph had children after the Savior of the world came through her womb, put there by God. Hallelujah, thank you Jesus.🙏🏾
She asks "Which God"? As if every belief system has a real god. He ought to have drilled down that there can only be one true God. All else he did good.

To be fair, he was trying to help her realize that on her own. In a public forum like that, there's only so much you can hit when you have 10 minutes with a stranger you've never met before, and especially when the person is all over the place like this poor gal. She kept shooting off objections from the hip, when buried underneath all of her objections is the clear fact that she's never really known a saving relationship with Christ Jesus. If she had, she's have never had any doubts about "all other other Gods/gods" and "all the other Bibles." She would know the one true Son of God. I give Todd 100% credit for handling the situation masterfully.... 1000x better than I could given the same circumstances. I'm not gifted as an open air preacher. Bothers me that Calvanists like to "GO after" Catholics, when they themselves preach a works based salvation based on the P of the man made TULIP, and on Lordship salvation. @TheWolves1138 that's mainly the problem with most ppl, they go from one religion to another, religions are all man made and man centered, When God saves someone OUT of a religion, you really have to have mental problems to be sad for them and to think they would be missing something, you have to actually be brain dead, God saved them, not a man's religion, it's the same seneiro with the Scribes and the Pharisees, if you think your religion is going to save you, you will die IN your sins...

God is about relationship, not religion. One either wants to have a relationship with God or not. God is perfectly righteous, therefore a barrier of sin exists between God and man. Hence the need for a savior and being saved from sin when one wants to be in relationship with God. Do you wish to go with "I'm right" or "God you are right". Hell will not be full of people simply becaused they sinned, it will be full of people that chose to reject God. A person doesn't want God? Then he gives them what they want: separation from Him. A person does want God? Then he gives them what they want: unity with Him. But the barrier of sin must be dealt with, BY GOD, in order to know God. The only way I've encountered where God rightly deals with the barrier of sin between myself and Him is in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
Rubbish! Christianity is a religion because it is a belief system! Can't separate one from the other. You believe in God and salvation through the relationship with Him. That is your belief so it is a religion! Religion is a noun used to describe a belief system just like any other label or noun such as 'table'! Your views may differ about how you apply or practise your religion, but it is still a religion so to separate the two and say you don't like religion but only belief in God is nonsense! That is your religion!
Hey chat! So how do we answer this question of hers? Which one is the truth? I'm a Christian and I know Jesus is the truth, but how do we answer her this question without making it sound like if we are forcing her?
The New Testament Scriptures tell us how to be saved. Jesus and His apostles issue specific commandments for salvation that are presented here with example Scripture references from the KJV. If you are truly interested in learning how to be saved, then please read on… 1. HEAR THE GOSPEL: First Corinthians 15:1-4; Mark 3:10; Romans 10:14. 2. BELIEVE THE GOSPEL: John 3:16; Acts 16:31; First Corinthians 15:1-4. Faith, believing on Jesus, is certainly a highly important commandment, but it is by no means the only commandment for salvation. 3. REPENT OF YOUR SINS: Acts 3:19; Luke 13:3. 4. CONFESS BEFORE MANKIND THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD: Matthew 10:32-33; Romans 10:9-10. 5. BE BAPTIZED FOR REMISSION OF SINS: Acts 2:38; Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 22:16; Romans 6:3-4; Galatians 3:27; First Peter 3:21. Though sinless, Jesus commanded baptism and was also baptized as our example, so it’s a most essential part of the salvation process. 6. LIVE A CHRISTIAN LIFE BY SERVING CHRIST: Hebrews 5:8-9; Matthew 7:21; John 14:15; Second Thessalonians 1:7-9. Think you can be saved like the thief on the cross? While on earth, Jesus had power to forgive whomever He willed, for the New Covenant had not yet gone into effect. We today are under the authority of the New Covenant, which includes these commandments for salvation. Therefore, we cannot be saved in exactly the same manner as the thief on the cross. Ultimately, we are saved through the sacrificial blood of Jesus (Revelation 1:5), BUT, we only have access to His saving blood by obeying His commandments for salvation. Some people attempt to nullify Jesus’ commandments for salvation with Ephesians 2:8-9, which states that we are saved by grace through faith, not works. Here lies the misunderstanding: Those people erroneously equate Jesus’ commandments for salvation with “personal works.” Ephesians 2:8-9 means that we cannot earn salvation by our good deeds or personal works alone. Jesus saves us through His grace as a gift to those who have faith enough in Him to obey His commandments, which are certainly NOT personal works. As Jesus said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15 KJV). So what part of that passage do people not understand? It's really mind-boggling how quickly many alleged Christians reject Jesus’ commandments for salvation and prefer man-made, denominational doctrines. As Jesus said, “Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men” (Mark 7:7 KJV). “And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” (Luke 6:46 KJV). If you really want to be saved, then do what Jesus tells you to do. It’s just that simple.
I really enjoyed watching on the street preaching the gospel of Jesus. I do feel bad for many of our young people. They don't know scripture, only bits and pieces thst does them no good. They know more of the talking points of the world and cling tightly to it. Hopefully she will sit down and read the good news and come to know Christ.
Jesus is the reason for Christianity. He built the church using Peter as the cornerstone. Has there been people who have perverted Christianity? Sure thing. But actual Christianity was important to Jesus and should be to us as well.

The title says "Catholic". The girl is NOT a Catholic in good standing based on some of her comments. But I would ask Todd when he will believe in the true word of Christ and not the words of past blasphemers. The Catholic church is the one true church established by Jesus Christ and his disciples. All other Christian religions were established centuries after the Catholic faith and have manipulated language to suit their leaders' needs at the time they were conceived. I'm not saying the Catholic Church is infallible, but it is the church established by Jesus.
The Greek Orthodox and Ethiopian Orthodox churches would have a valid dispute with your claims as to which one was established by Jesus. Especially when the Greek Orthodox churches are descended from churches established by Paul, John, and other apostles, and nowhere in the NT does it tell us who founded the church in Rome (it doesn't even say that in Romans).
@@chriscampbell9191 Peter established the FIRST church in Antioch. That later became the church in Rome. What you're establishing is splitting hairs. The Orthodox and Catholic churches coexisted for 1,000 years and are very similar by comparison to Lutheran, Protestant, Evangelist and others. My comment was not to leave out the Orthodox churches, but to establish that Paul and Peter set the tone for what the true church was to be. Then christianity became corrupted by men who never met Christ, but claimed to know better than those who actually knew Christ, or knew the men who walked with Christ. But yes. Thank you for the clarification.
@@alanwieskamp499 Peter established the FIRST church in Jerusalem. Peter did not establish the church in Ethiopia, or the Armenian church, for that matter. Many of the churches in Asia Minor were established by John. The great schism was very real. The Antioch church did not become the church in Rome. The church in Rome started very early, as Christian soldiers, traders, and slaves who'd either migrated to Rome (or were taken there) formed churches there. Peter and Paul went there after the fact. When you accuse millions of Protestants as being 'blasphemers', it is not splitting hairs. And you have no clue whatsoever about the true nature of the college girl's belief in Christ, or whether she is a genuine Catholic or not. You're basing it solely off a 6 minute, public exchange. You don't know how often she attends mass, how often she goes to confession, or anything else about her. As for your accusation that millions of Lutherans, Anglicans, and others are 'blasphemers'. Is that official Catholic doctrine? I don't' even hear that sort of talk from Patrick Madrid.
Catholic women are so pretty just like this one because Catholic majority countries like Ireland and Italy and the Latin American countries tend to have such beautiful women yet her beauty doesn’t distract Brother Friel because he sees her soul
He says, "Jesus dies for our sins". "Theres a way to have your conscience cleansed, your sins forgiven. And if you fail to respond to this good news, it'll be heaping more judgement upon yourself because you've had an opportunity to hear a gospel good news of grace." So if i do as he says, my sins will be forgiven and i will be granted permission to go to heaven when i die. And if i dont, im going to hell. What about the part where he says, "When we commit a sin, it DEMANDS an eternal punishment." We are exempt from punishment if we do as he says? Also, if jesus died for our sins, but we will ALSO be punished for them? Which one is it? Im as confused as she is.
Jesus Christ, Son of God and Son of Man, died willingly on the cross to take our punishment. We all sin and fall short of the glory of God, and in His infinite grace and mercy, He created a path for us. Jesus Christ of Nazareth was God incarnate when He walked the earth. He suffered and died crucified. On the third day, He rose from the dead. He was seen by many-hundreds-who testified to these accounts. Then, He was bodily assumed into Heaven and sent the Holy Spirit came to dwell and live with us. Jesus now lives and reigns in Heaven. He will return to the earth to judge all. The holy, precious blood of Jesus is what forgives our sins. Jesus came to save sinners, Praise God! I urge you to read the Bible with an open heart and a sincere desire for Truth. God works miraculously every day, for He turned my unbelief into belief. May God bless you and protect you. With love, I urge you to seek Him ❤✝
The good news....God sent His only begotten Son to die for mankind. All those that believe on Him shall be saved.🎉 Yes we should love one another....and you do that with humility.
@jacobingebrig2625 I was born and raised RC, and was in it 26 years, devoted, Until I was saved out of it By the Lord Jesus Christ, she is a good representation of the common Roman Catholic and what they believe Rome teaches, most RC do not even understand what the actual doctrines are, even when they are saying them...
Religion has never been a conduit for creating peace and harmony within all cultures. On the contrary, our history is filled with countless acts of cruelty and genocide in the name of whatever “holy” deity a particular sect recognizes. It’s been a matter of “if your brother can’t love your heaven, then it’s a mercy for him to die.” Humans are imperfect by design and religion reminds us time and time again that we are always close to damnation.
He does not know the Gospel and he does not know Catholicism At 3 minutes he said " Catholics have to do the 7 different sacraments and if you havent done everything right you have to go to purgatory " Well that means we all should Marry then become ordained (to the priesthood) It is the gift of God but we have to accept the gift and that acceptance is clear in the bible - that includes Works -- When Jesus was asked what the most important commandment was he said "Love God AND Love your neighbour " Of course not being charitable means you do not fulfill this !!
Bottom line: Morality is innate in all human beings. As such, I don’t need the Bible or any religion to be a good person. Before any discussion regarding God begins, the predicate of the existence of a God must be addressed and resolved. There is no good evidence for the existence of any deity. Discussing any religion before demonstrating the existence of any God just begs the question.
IMO They both had some points to make. Both were not prepared to give a full account. I agree with the statement 'Wretched' was making. However, I would recomend accompany reading of Gail Riplinger's publications. I think she has a well documented case for the KJV being the most accurate bible version.
@6:38, there was no Hebrew word for cousin she is right. They use terms like my father's brother's son. But brother meant brother ans sister meant sister.
@@TamSak-il8yu just because the word is man made, doesn’t make religion man made. But if we take the sentence “Jesus came to establish a religion for us” and we switched out the word religion for its definition we get “Jesus came to establish a relationship with him for us”. He did come to establish a religion for us, a religion of love.
I respectfully disagree on God not starting religion based on my use of the definition of religion. We read in Genesis of the sacrifices required before Able was killed that God initiated Himself. Religion is mankind's works to justify their righteousness before God. Didn't God create Judyisim in the Old Testament as the way for the individual and the Nation to pay for their wrongs committed during the period between payments? Jesus told these adherents to the law that they were straining at gnats while swallowing flies and that they were trying to remove specs from others while trying to see past the beams in their own eyes. They had taken the law provided by God and enhanced it to make it better. I really think that they did this to show each other up in their individual works and personal good deeds. "I do this so God likes me better." I agree with the theologians who say that when Jesus cried out it is finished that He had ended the need for religion by ending the requirement of the old way for people to make themselves right with God. He was the final and perfect sacrifice required for the payment of sin's debt to God which is death. We gather together to worship God on various days of the week and especially on the one day of gathering in unification to honor and worship God. Our relationship with God the Father doesn't require the rituals formerly necessary to cleans ourselves from our unrighteous behaviors because God incarnated in Jesus human form exchanged His perfect life for our ruins. So for those who have accepted this exchanged life we no longer have the use or need of religion. People groups recognize the need to be right with God and therefore do rituals to be good enough for His presence. I believe that all attempts at righteousness started out the same but became corrupted through demonic influence. I do agree with you that we no longer have any need for religion in whatever form that it takes.
I like this lady. She is genuine to know the answer. I hope she got it. Bless her Lord Jesus ! Answer is also given wonderfully. I like him too !. If you genuinely seek the Lord you will find. If your intention is to find excuses not to believe in Jesus, you are never ever finding him nor getting an answer, simply because you don't want.
Do you ever notice you cannot answer her questions? She is honestly seeking the truth on multiple subjects, yet you keep moving back to the same sayings about Jesus, which tells us that you yourself are unsure of what the full truth is. You also told her that her belief about purgatory is not true, only to basically repeat your belief about hell, which is the exact same belief. Maybe a little worse actually. Also, her question about which God is an easy answer, yet you refuse to use God's name, Jehovah. Its ok if you are unsure about something, but you should be honest about your uncertainty, so that you too can find the truth.
Kinda crazy hearing this young women, it's almost like saying well numer 1 is the number 1 but ... but the word one is also one, so is it 1 or one? To which do I believe?

This video is unfortunate. The "evangelist" is having a conversation with a student who doesn't fully understand the Catholic faith. The so-called evangelist then uses this exchange to supposedly demonstrate the superiority of his interpretation. The line of reasoning that the "evangelist" is using is rife with straw-man arguments and various other logical flaws. When he can't answer a question, he dodges and tells the student to go read the bible, under the premise that the student needs to determine whether or not she is going to "submit to the king." If he really knew what he was talking about, then he would be willing to answer the question and explain how he reached his conclusion, not dodge the question like he is.
Interestingly enough, his understanding of purgatory is false to begin with. This is one of the many reasons I have began to leave Protestantism. For those saying she is confused, she is. But he seems just as confused. The difference is he seems confident in his confusion. It is natural when debating children.
This college girl seems like a really nice Catholic girl who perhaps hasn't been taught to clearly understand a few things, including how we got our Bible. She seems to question the veracity of Bible translations.... But the Catholic RSV is a good one, and so is the Catholic New American Bible (at least the 1980 version). I'm a Protestant, and I have both of those Bibles, and they are trustworthy translations. I use them, along with other Bibles I've got (NASB 1971 -- which I prefer; ASV 1901, RSV, KJV, NKJV, etc.). They all have the gospel in them, the gospel being that Jesus Christ died for our sins and if you believe in him you have eternal life (John 3:16). What one believes about the rest of the things discussed here is secondary. If you believe Mary had other kids or not -- whatever you believe about that won't get you to Heaven. Believing in Jesus Christ alone gets you to Heaven. It is stated around 28 times in the NT alone. I wish that nice Catholic college girl well.
What about the book of James did he ignore? We are saved by grace ALONE through faith & our actions to prove we have perfect faith. He’s preaching about being saved by what Jesus did on the cross, shedding his blood & being the perfect guilt offering for the world 🙌🏽
One of the sacraments is holy orders and not everyone receives it neither matrimony. The sacraments are meant to help us cooperate with the holy Spirit. And live a Christian life.
quote---The sacraments are meant to help us cooperate with the holy Spirit. And live a Christian life... unquote Christian--what is it?? A FOLLOWER of Christ!! A Follower of HIS TEACHINGS!!! DO you FOLLOW His teachings????
She needs to be shown Acts 17:16. Paul was in Athens that was full of idols. Which is where this girl is. They were worshipping every religion that was brought to them. She wants to know which god is the right god and which Bible is the right Bible. Paul declares God of creation and explains who He is. We know "which" God through his son Jesus Christ. She also seemed very confused about what sin is. We have got to get into a place of better explaining a🎉nd answering the questions of the lost and confused. Teach don't preach. May God send someone to her to sit down with Bible in hand, answer her questions and gently show her the way. Her eternal destination depends on it.
I'm just having a hard time getting over how absolutely beautiful she is, but YES everything in the KJV Bible Canon is TRUE and I hope she have an encounter with JESUS CHRIST.
This preacher shows how shallow his knowledge of Catholic theology is (as does the girl) at about the 7 minute mark. Mary being immaculately concieved does not mean she was concieved through supernatural means or lacked normal biological sexual reproduction. It means she was concieved without original sin.
Pardon me but the good news is Eternal Life instead of Death. The wages of sin is death not Eternal Conscious Torment. And the gift of God is eternal life. Your tradition has blinded your eyes to what the Good News is. You should stop preaching a false gospel.
Why do catholics not read the Bible. I know some Catholics who have been saved and their eyes were opened. How can any catholic not question a pope? As I understand it, a group of men select a person to become a pope, who is suppose to be God on earth. Why do they argue what Jesus did on the cross, what he did on the third day. Jesus said no one comes to the Father but by me. As you said by grace you are saved through faith.
Catholics do read the Bible and everything in the Catholic faith comes from scripture, including the seven books that the protestants removed. The Pope is NOT God on earth, rather he's the leader, and AFTER Christ, has authority of the earthly church, Christ is still at the center of our faith. Non-Catholics seem to know a whole lot of Catholicism that isn't true.
I am not Catholic but I know several Catholics and they read their Bible, and their Catholic church has Bible studies as well. Their masses included Bible passages, often lengthy ones. I also know Protestants and evangelicals who don't really know their Bible, so not knowing the NT well isn't a Catholic thing -- it seems to be in every denomination.
He's debating young college students who are still learning the Catholic faith. A fair debate would be with someone like Trent Horn, Jimmy Akins, Father Mike Schmitz, Bishop Barron, etc. This conversation would look A LOT different.
@@CountCulture27The people mentioned would easily dispel the notion that Catholics somehow don't accept Jesus as their savior, which I think is the argument being made in this video. This video is really weak because the girl doesn't even understand the argument he's making. He persists with the argument anyway, so what we're left with is two strangers talking past each other.
He told the good news to lost souls. Do you not regard her as a lost soul because she doesnt know salvation is through Christ alone. he is talking to her to tell her the good news. Thats what he did, but then she tried to turn it into an argument and reject the news so he told her why the news is faithful and true.
@@tb7871 Mark 16:15-18 NKJV And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." So you are blaming him for fufilling one of Jesus' commandments: preaching the good news?? Thats all he did, why critise?
This young lady does not know Catholic dogma or the teaching of the Catholic Church. I am glad that she is a Roman Catholic but she is not a well formed Catholic.
Are you sure she's a Roman Catholic? Apparently, she doesn't know why the Mormon version of god is incorrect, which tells me she doesn't know that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. At best, she's Roman Catholic in name only.... Probably grew up in a Catholic household, maybe went to Mass, maybe got some catechism, but the Gospel message never entered her heart. Those who are born again know the answers to the questions she was asking. There's hope for her as there is hope for all sinners to come to know Christ, but there are no outward signs she knows Christ or is known by him. I can't judge her heart, but I can judge her words, and they are not the words of a person who fears, loves, and trusts in God above all things. Prayers that God calls her into a true relationship with him.
You completely missed the point. He literally made a way so that sin would be punished in a loving and merciful way. Because He wouldn't be a just God if He didn't punish sin so He made a way through Jesus who never sinned to pay for us who have sinned. So we wouldn't be punished instead. If we believe that he truly died for our sins, repent of our sins and make Him Lord of our lives then we begin a relationship with Him .He made it so it could be possible for us to have eternal life and have a relationship with Him while on earth. Its not black mail because we were all destined to go to Hell in the first place because sin is what separated us from God in the first place. Its what separated Adam and Eve from God in the beginning.
@carstenmoeller9422 why so mad? You're dealing with somethings. Just know Jesus loves you and cares for you even if you hate Him right now and don't want anything to do with Him. Bible says Jesus is a gentleman and won't force himself on anyone. Only when a person humbles themselve with an open heart and invite Him in while also repenting and acknowledging that you're a sinner in need of saving, then Jesus will.come in and dwell within you through His holy spirit and your life will never be the same. Nothing in this world could offer me true peace or fulfillment. Only Jesus can fulfill that missing piece in our heart. A void that every human is always searching to fill. May God bless you! When I pray, I will think of you also! 🙏
@@Nataly-do4pe Yes, a common error. People want to attribute OUR human feelings for how God should behave and conduct Himself. God is under no obligation to act according to OUR feelings. The character of God is His alone. He has shown His nature so we do know He is just, kind, merciful, forgiving, patient, holy et al, but people ignore He is also a God of justice, discipline and righteousness. They do not like the FULL character of God's nature.
@@carstenmoeller9422 You are given a choice by God. Your choice determines whether you want to be punished eternally. Just as with a child and parent. As a parent you don't overlook your child's conduct or behavior should he harm himself or others. Instead you try to nurture, love, and mentor your child. You have a relationship with your child with respect, love, honor. etc. Should your child choose to ignore his teachings and decides he eagerly and enthusiastically wants to kill and mutilate anyone or anything that crosses his path. Rape, and maim both men, women, and children, then that child has become lost. Just as in a judicial system the punishment would be death. So is his judgement from God, which is he has no place in heaven and his judgement now is eternal punishment.
Todd, Catholics don't have to perform all 7 Sacraments. They are only "required" to perform baptism, first confession, first communion (confession and communion are a continuing sacrament), and, I'm not really sure about this one, confirmation. They are not required to be married, to receive holy orders or last rites (even though they would heavily recommend it if the opportunity allows.
John 3:11-19 Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony. 12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things? 13 No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.
The Mormon god does not exist. A Mormon would say a Christian hod does not exist. And all the different religions would all say the same thing. So who is right then. If you were brought up in one you won’t believe the other. I can see why she is confused. Oh I picked the wrong god.
The Mormons believe in the Christian God -- but their own version of him, based on their revelations and doctrines. In the Book of Mormon, there even is a chapter where 'Jesus Christ' appears in MesoAmerica. Whether you want to believe that the Book of Mormon is fake or fiction or not is your choice, but the LDS church believes and maintains that they worship the God of Israel and Jesus Christ. The problem I have with their church is their doctrines about him. But they wouldn't say a Christian God does not exist. They would say they believe in the Christian God. The college girl in this vid does have a somewhat valid point, though. The various doctrines put forth by churches often contradict each other. You can see it in these comment threads. Some say you aren't saved by faith, some say you need works to be saved, some say you need to be baptised to be saved, some say that the gospel isn't that Jesus came to die for our sins, it's something else... Some here say Catholics aren't saved, and some Catholics in these threads say that non-Catholics aren't saved..... This is the sort of confusion of doctrines that I think the college girl in the vid is having trouble with. It's not their "God", but their doctrines about him.

To answer her question it's the same god in the bible, but what she is getting at is how her church depicted his words. Gods words, and laws god said not to change them Christ said not to change them so how does the Catholic church justify doing so.They claim to have devine power to do so without scripture to back the claim.
She doesn't understand John 1 --the Prolog. And probably never has read it nor has ever heard her Priest talk about it. They do not have Sermons at Mass on Sunday. They have Homilies that last about 8 to 10 minutes. Real teaching is not the point of any Catholic Mass. It's all about the Eucharist. Catholics do not take notes at Mass nor do they ever bring their Bible. Many have one but never read it because they are never encouraged to read it. THAT is the fault of Rome, their local Bishop and their Parish Priest. Except, all this is systemic within the Catholic culture. They are nice people but have been veiled from the full truth of God's word.
Let's look at Scripture I'll give the Biblical along with the with a TL;DR of each: John 14:12-21 Jesus said believers will not only do the works He did but greater ones and that He would send an Advocate, the Spirit of Truth. (Jesus clearly says believers will not only do what He did but even greater works. Did He lie? I don't think He did. To that end I will also give some of Jesus' works too along with Biblical references too. Luke 10 Jesus sent disciples with the power to give Peace and to wipe the dirt of the town off their sandals, to cure the sick, and proclaim The Kingdom of God out Matthew 16:17-19 Jesus changes Simon's name to Peter and gives him the keys to the kingdom with the power to bind and loose on both Heaven and Earth. This mirrors Isaiah 22:22 Isaiah 22:22 The keys to the House of David and the only one with the power to open and close doors. Matthew 17:24-27 Jesus Pays the Temple Tax. The collector comes up to Peter not Jesus and asks him if his teacher pays the temple tax. Jesus ask for Peter's opinion on the tax and agrees but doesn't want to give offense to them. Matthew 28:16-20 This is The Great Commission Jesus claims that God gave Him all authority when He proclaimed "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me." He told them to Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the world.” Mark 6:7-13 Jesus Sends Out the Twelve on Mission. Gives them the power to drive out demons, and anointed with oil many people who were sick and cured them. Mark 1:21-28 1 Jesus Heals a Man with a Demon. Mark 1:29-31 Jesus Heals Peter’s Mother-in-Law. Mark 1:32-34 More Healings. Mark 1:35-39 Jesus Proclaims the Message and Heals the Sick. Mark 1:40-45 Jesus Heals a Man with Leprosy. Mark 2: 1-12 The forgiveness of Sins and Healing. We see Jesus FIRST forgives the man's sins and some scribes take offense and claim Jesus is blasphemous as they question who can forgive sins? Jesus challenged them "Which is easier: to say to the paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say: ‘Stand up, take your mat, and walk’? But that you may come to realize that the Son of Man[c] has authority on earth to forgive sins”-he said to the paralyzed man- “I say to you, stand up, take your bed, and go to your home.” The man stood up, immediately picked up his bed, and went off in full view of all of them. The onlookers were all astonished and they glorified God, saying, “We have never before witnessed anything like this.” Mark 2:23-27 Picking Grain on the Sabbath. Jesus and the disciples get accused of breaking the Sabbath. Mark 3:1-6 A Man with a Withered Hand. Jesus heals a man without a hand on the Sabbath. Jesus looked at them in anger as they watched so they can accuse Jesus of something. and finally at verse 6 Then the Pharisees went out and immediately began to plot with the Herodians how they might put him to death. Mark 3:13-19 Jesus Establishes the Group of the Disciples. We get the list of the names of the Apostles and "He appointed twelve-whom he also named apostles-that they might be his companions and that he might send them out to proclaim the message, with the authority to drive out demons." Mark 3:22-30 The Blasphemy of the Scribes. Jesus drives out demons and get accused of “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and “He casts out demons by the prince of demons.” Mark 5:1-20 Jesus Heals the Gerasene Demoniac Mark 5:21-43 Jesus Heals a Woman and Raises a Child. Mark 11:27 The Authority of Jesus Questioned. Jesus is questioned “By what authority are you doing these things? Or who gave you the authority to do them?” Mark 14:22-25 The Last Supper. While they were eating he took bread, and after he had pronounced the blessing, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “Take it; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and after offering thanks he gave it to them. After they all drank from it, he said to them, “This is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many. Amen, I say to you, from now on I shall not drink this fruit of the vine until the day when I shall drink it anew in the kingdom of God.” Mark 16:14-18 Jesus Appears to and Commissions the Eleven. Then he said to them, “Go forth into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned. These are the signs that will mark those who believe: In my name they will cast out demons. They will be granted the gift of speaking in new languages. If they pick up serpents in their hands or drink any deadly poison, they will remain unharmed. The sick on whom they lay their hands will recover.” Matthew 10:40 We get the doctrine of In Persona Christi. He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me." Luke 7:1-10 Jesus Heals the Centurion’s Servant. This is a Roman asking Jesus to save his servant. Luke 7:36-50 Jesus Pardons a Sinful Woman. Jesus is dining at the house of a Pharisee Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” Those who were at table began to say to themselves, “Who is this man who even forgives sins?” But Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.” Luke 10:16 We get the doctrine of In Persona Christi again. "He who hears you hears Me, and he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me." John 14:12-21 Jesus said believers will not only do the works He did but greater ones and that He would send an Advocate, the Spirit of Truth. John 17: 17-29 Jesus prays to God to Consecrate the in the Truth and "As you sent me into the world, so have I sent them into the world. And for their sakes I consecrate myself, so that they too may be consecrated in truth." and again He prayed "As you sent me into the world, so have I sent them into the world." John 20 19:23 Jesus appeared to the disciples in the home with the locked door said "“Peace be with you.” twice to them then He said “As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” breathed on them and said “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, they are forgiven. If you retain anyone’s sins, they are retained.” Acts 1:15-26 The picking of Judas's successor. This mirrors Isaiah 22:19 Isaiah 22:19 Removal from office and picking another Acts 3 Peter and John on the way to the Temple for 3PM prayer meet a cripple and Peter cures him. Peter then address the people. Acts 4:1-21 The trial of Peter and John and the warning not to preach in his name again. Acts 6:1-7 The institution of the Diaconate. Acts 8 We see gentiles start to come to the faith. We see Samaria and Peter and John go to them and despite them being baptized they went anyway and aid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. We get the condemnation of a Samaritan magician that came to the faith names Simon wanting to buy the power that Peter and John had and their refusal. We have the Ethiopian eunuch and Philip baptizing him and the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away. Acts 9 We have Saul's conversion, Peter Heals Aeneas at Lydda, and Peter Restores Tabitha to Life. Acts 10: 9-16 Peter's vision of unclean animals and in verse 34 God has no favorites. Acts 15 The first of many councils, The Council of Jerusalem. The Apostle's themselves declaring that some of the Old Covenant Laws NO LONGER APPLY.
Logical reasoning: Many issues will come up along the way as the faith grows so The Church must have the authority to deal with these issues as they come along. This would go to which books are Cannon, Jesus' relationship to the Father, The nature of Jesus, The relationship of The Holy Spirit to The Father and Jesus, and many more issues. We get the resolution process for these issues from Acts 15 and the Council of Jerusalem. Without this process under which authority are: Arianism (God alone was without beginning, unoriginate; the Son was originated, and once had not existed. For all that has an origin must begin to be), Gnosticism ( the doctrine of salvation by knowledge), Marcionism (There are 2 different Gods the God of the Old Testiment and The God of Jesus and by extension the God Jesus proclaimed), Modalism (There is only 1 God and He reveals Himself through Different modes or manifestations and very anti-Trinitarian), Montanism (taught that the Holy Spirit was continuing to give new revelation through Montanus and his followers and that Jesus would soon bring the New Jerusalem to a place in Phrygi), Adoptionism (Jesus was not born the Son of God, but was adopted at either His baptism, resurrection or ascension), Docetism (Jesus was just an illusion and lacked a material body) heresies? Without The Church having authority these heresies are perfectly acceptable and authentic Christian teachings handed down by the early church. They can claim that is just their interpretation of the Bible/discernment/where The Holy Spirit led them and who is able to say otherwise and under what authority? These teachings where dealt with by the early church councils, and some of those same councils are labeled by protestants as Constantine's take over of Christianity and corruption of the true faith. Those early councils gave us The Apostle's Creed and Nicene Creed. As you can see without The Church Trinitarianism Doctrine is just another doctrine like Docetism, Adoptionism, and Modalism. All of which would be perfectly valid. Where is the word Trinity in the Bible? Which Books are Cannon? Where in the Bible do you get a list of Canonical Books and how would we know that that book is Cannon? For example Luther’s first German translation was missing 25 books (i.e., Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Esther, Job, Ecclesiastes, Jonah, Tobias, Judith, Wisdom, Sirach (i.e., Ecclesiasticus), Baruch, 1 and 2 Maccabees, Matthew, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, Hebrews, James, Jude and Revelation. He referred to the Epistle of James as “The Epistle of Straw” (a comment that he removed from subsequent versions of his bible) and the rest he called “Judaizing nonsense.” All of that about Cannon and we still haven't touched on the bigger issue of translation. How can anyone be sure what they're reading is accurately translated? There are after all some people out there today that claim the word homosexual was a mistranslated word done deliberately by homophobes. Let's look at some modern day issues: Is birth control, and abortion OK? When does life begin? Can anyone give Biblical reference for when life begins?
@@michaelZ1B We are 100 percent Bible Christians that believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and stands as the support and energy of the Church and there is perhaps no other aspect of the Catholic faith that exemplifies this more than The Holy Sacrifice of The Mass. It's modeled on Luke 24:13-35 Jesus on the road to Emmaus. Why wouldn't the Mass be all about the Eucharist? The Eucharist is the source and summit of of the Christian life. It is after all Jesus body, blood, soul, and divinity, truly, really, and substantially contained in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. It is a foretaste of Heaven. We do not need to bring a Bible with us as the parish will provide a missal which will have the readings for the whole Liturgical Year or missalette which will have the readings for that Liturgical Season as well as The Eucharistic prayers in them, hymns and songs in addition to prayers too. I know some have gone "protestanty" with providing a download link for it or use a projector instead. The Mass has 2 parts. Just like Jesus on the road to Emmaus. The first is the Liturgy of The word. This is OT, Psalm, NT, Gospel Acclimation, and Gospel. In The Daily or Low Mass it is just OT, Psalm, Gospel Acclimation, and Gospel. The Books and verses are picked to go with the Liturgical Season and pair with each other. The Readings cycle goes 2 years for weekdays and 3 years for Sunday. I invite you to read The Daily Mass Readings or listen/watch at least the first half of weekdays/Sunday Masses on live stream. This cycle while it isn't going to get you through the Bible completely it does a great job at getting through a great deal of it. You are guaranteed to hear from every book of the canon by the end of the cycles. Several texts will be repeated, due to the Liturgical Season, or because of their relative significance. Several converts that come from non-lectionary settings note how much more Scripture they hear. This is followed by a homily. A homily at Mass is not supposed to be a mini catechism class let alone a full catechism class, but it is an explanation on the readings and it's application into our lives and implication on our salvation, or what The Church's teachings on those readings are, or on tying it to other Mass readings in the Liturgical Season, or on a current issues that need to be addressed. Actual teaching is supposed to come from Bible study or religious education class, catechism course. This is something that is being worked on along outreach for fallen away Catholics, C&Eers, and The Hatch Match and Dispatch crowd. The second part is the Liturgy of The Eucharist. This is Jesus physically present and Heaven and Earth become most profoundly one. Thanks for the compliment and concern but we have The Fullness of Truth handed down to us through the Scriptures and Apostles. As I said we are 100 percent Bible Christians. Every Priest traces his ordination to a Bishop who traces his ordination to a Bishop who traces his ordination to a Bishop in an unbroken line going back to one of the Apostles. I invite you to at least explore it if not journey to The Fullness of Faith and the glorious rich history in it. Sooner or later everyone will be Catholic even if it's only in the end.
@@kisstune when the church was given authority it burned people at the stake with it's corruption. Jesus Christ said the body is the temple that a church is just mortar and stone for this reason because a church will be corrupted. The Catholic church as it was formed sold it's soul in the council of Nicea over the trinity to Roman emperor Constantine. Starting from a lie, conceived in sin.
He’s preaching the Good News (my watered down/shortest version: Jesus and His message of salvation) not a denomination within Christianity. She needs to read her Bible for herself and not rely on others to do all the interpreting for herself. Then, she’ll be able to see which denominations align with the Bible.
Just like it did for Irenaeus and Montanus. How about the Docetists, Apollinarism, Eutychianism, Marcionism, Adoptionism, Gnosticism. Under what authority would you rule them or anything else as heresy, because that is their interpretation of Sacred Scripture and they would quote Scripture to prove their point. Without The One True Church and The One True Faith they would be valid forms of Christianity. Same goes with translation too. Let's go modern Many today their are people claiming homophobes deliberately mistranslated The Bible and claim that homosexuality isn't opposed in The Bible.
The side bar of which god is the right god. There is only one true God. God is not a religion. Man makes religion and imposed rules and regulations upon the followers. That is legalism. Not belief or faith. Which bible is the correct one. Many translations som are word for word some thought for thought , etc. newer translations incorporate the Dead Sea scrolls. The example of Isiah in near completeness demonstrates that modern translations are exact of extremely accurate for old manuscripts. There is a Bible called the CEPHER it follows Hebrew and Aramaic and some Greek. More Aramaic by far. It was the common language of the Jewish people of Jesus & apostles.
This is touching. She obviously is concerned about her spirit, but seems so confused. I pray that the Lord blesses her and removes that spirit confusion.
I agree! My heart goes out to the people that are plagued with spiritual confusion. Praying for clarity of minds and that the Truth will shine in us.

He’s simply fantastic. At the end of the day we have to decide based on what we’re shown & told & hopefully make the right decision.
I would have to ask, do all those pre born make a decision to be concieved?
Jesus said, "I tell you the truth no one will see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me." For God so loved the world that He give His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the World through Him. For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord, and All who call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. " If you want to be sure of Heaven and avoid the other place below say the following prayer sincerely from your heart." Lord Jesus I repent and am sorry for my sins forgive me. I forgive all who have offended me.I believe you died and Rose again .Come into my heart and save me. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and baptise me with your Holy Spirit. Fulfill your plan and purpose in my life. "I recommend you read John's Gospel especially chapter 3.Gbu.John 3v3v22,John 14v6.
As I heard the conversation, the student has not read her Bible for understanding. She doesn’t KNOW the text; she is only familiar with it.
99.99% of Catholics do not read the Bible; it's not expected.
Yes maybe, but also both of them doesn't understand catholic theology but that doesn't stop the preacher from criticizing it.
@@pulsarpl he seemed fairly spot on based on what I've heard when talking to Roman Catholics and also per their doctrinal statements online. Can you name a specific area where he "doesn't understand" so we can specifically address it?
@@sidwhiting665 I can, and it is way worse than how wretched presented it. Luthren Satire has done a few on these to a fun entertaining way IMO.* Their 'jankieness' usually can see in their catechism works. TL:DR it basically states non-believers have a better chance of going through 'purgitory' than other christian denominations.
Just like 99% of Catholics.
I as well. We have received unspeakable Grace. What I mean by unspeakable is that it is mind blowing.
Say what you want but, Catholics still believe Jesus Christ as the messiah end of story

THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IN THE BIBLE
Jesus started a teaching and preaching church, not a Bible only church:
Mt.
These verses show an authoritative church)
Eph. 4:11-12 - And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ
Deacons:
Philippians 1:1 - Paul and Timothy, bond-servants of Christ Jesus, To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, including the overseers and deacons
1 Timothy 3:8-13 - Deacons likewise must be men of dignity, not double-tongued, or addicted to much wine or fond of sordid gain, but holding to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. These men must also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons if they are beyond reproach read more.
Bishops:
1 Tim 3:1-7 (1 Tim.
Tradition:
1 Thess. 2:15 (and 3:6) - Stand fast and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by written epistle. (Bible says there is good tradition we must hold to)
Confession: Jn. 20:21-23 - "Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, so I also send you." And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained." (Confession)
Baptism:
1 Peter 3:21 - Baptism now saves you.
Mark 16:16 - says: He who believe and is baptized will be saved.
Eucharist:
John 6:51-55 - I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever, and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world...
Mt. 26:26 - Jesus raised the bread and said,
"This is my body."
Necessity of Good works:
Mt. And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?' And the King will answer them, 'Truly, say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.' Then he will say to those at his left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.' Then they also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see thee hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to thee?' Then he will answer them, Truly, I say to you, as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me.' And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
1 John 2:3-4 - Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (Must follow the commandments. Not faith alone)
Celibacy:
Matthew 19:11-12 and 1 Corinthians 7 7-9; 32-34
Mt. 19:1-9 talks about divorce and remarriage.
The world sees it as “Follow me or you die” when in reality we ARE dead and need HIM to live.
I felt sorry for her to being on you tube.
The Catholics are mislead. She needs to be SDA, we hold the good news he speaks of and we also follow health laws, all the commandments, etc. she is so lost 😢
@@AdventistHomemakerIf Roman Catholics are misled scripture is misleading.
I love when you said that its either Jesus is the way the truth and the life or NOT…
Why there is so much confusion is because you start reading at Matthew.
Amen I agree.
2 Timothy 3:16 - All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
Awesome!!! My kinda people here!!!!
If you overcome apprehension of ever reading Revelation, everything within hinges upon something throughout the OT Scriptures . . . to read Revelation, makes you want to go right back & read from Genesis on all over again!!!
God the Son has returned forever as God the Bible whom we worship!
@@steveOCalley The bible is God's word, not God Himself. Christians worship God, not the bible. We read and study and meditate on His word. It's one way God speaks to us. Jesus hasn't returned yet, EVERYTHING on earth would know.

These always bring me to tears. What most people need is pain in life to be able to look at the cross and truly understand. Or when they are on their deathbed and are cowards and can’t walk into death alone after slamming God their entire life.
Like the Stations of the Cross? (The events of Jesus before He was crucified, from being condemned to being nailed to the cross.)
*By the way, why do Roman Catholics use crucifixes while Protestants use crosses?*
@@kevinphillips150 no. Just the sheer importance of the cross for society.
@@kevinphillips150
I would venture to guess that the reason Protestants use a cross while Catholics use a crucifix is that Catholics don't mind idolatry while Protestants do.
“It’s a gun to your head, follow me or you’re dead”
WRONG. We’re already dead. God sent Jesus Christ to SAVE us.
That’s perspective is probably why a lot of people reject Christ because, in that sense, it does sound like it’s not truly an option, and that it’s not truly by grace.
Read your Bible for yourselves people. Don’t just take someone else’s word for it, take it from the word of God. God bless you all.
She is not articulating accurately official Catholic teaching. The Catholic Church teaches a gospel of grace.
When she asks which God? The right answer is Jesus. He and the Father are One. We have to say His name. He is God.
whatever church she is going too has failed her, she understands some peripheral information but none of the important stuff.
John 3:3 I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you will never see the kingdom of God.
And 1st John 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God.
She’s confused thinking that there’s more than one God and savior. Mary was never devine. God simply brought His son to this lost world so that we might be saved. And Mary and Joseph had children after the Savior of the world came through her womb, put there by God. Hallelujah, thank you Jesus.🙏🏾
Good preaching! 😊
She asks "Which God"? As if every belief system has a real god. He ought to have drilled down that there can only be one true God. All else he did good.
Jesus said, "I tell you the truth no one will see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me." To be fair, he was trying to help her realize that on her own. How can a Christian tell if he/she is doing good for God or themself?
Always a struggle because we are prideful creatures. When I think I’m doing so much good, oh how good I am, I turn to God and thank Him for doing His good in my life and working through me to accomplish good works. It is a battle of the flesh which likes sinful things and self indulgence. Lord have mercy on me! ❤✝
Jesus who is God in flesh, is not Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, Anglican, Orthodox etc. But we have all that now. Why is there disunity? There's only one God. Our Father is really sad to see his children being segregated this way.

Revelation 22:12-
“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.
*****That SURE LOOKS like good works to me!!!!
Can you get to heaven by doing good?
We do this by having an obedient faith and thus by doing good works. We do good works not to earn salvation, but we do them, because God commands them. We are not set apart by believing in God only, because even the devil believes in God, and he is certainly not going to Heaven!
***When we have faith, we DO GOOD DEEDS!!!
----What God says about doing good deeds?
Hebrews 13:16: “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” Luke 6:30: “Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back. John 15:13: “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.
Is that NOT a good deed???
-----Revelation 14:13 New Living Translation (NLT)
And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this down: Blessed are those who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, they are blessed indeed, for they will rest from their hard work; for their good deeds follow them!”
------Does God reward us for good deeds?
Answer: It is true that there are rewards above and beyond eternal life and that eternal life is a gift of grace, but Scripture plainly teaches that eternal life itself is a reward or fruit of our good deeds. One passage which spells this out is Galatians 6:7-10: “Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

ignorance is the problem with this generation!
Yeah, protestants know a whole lot that isn't true.

Prearranged team work !
The New Testament Scriptures tell us how to be saved. Jesus and His apostles issue specific commandments for salvation that are presented here with example Scripture references from the KJV. If you are truly interested in learning how to be saved, then please read on…
The ridicule of religion is really without boundaries
I really enjoyed watching on the street preaching the gospel of Jesus. I do feel bad for many of our young people. They don't know scripture, only bits and pieces thst does them no good. They know more of the talking points of the world and cling tightly to it. Hopefully she will sit down and read the good news and come to know Christ.
Unsaved people want heaven without the commitment to Jesus Christ. God cannot and will not allow that.
Jesus is the reason for Christianity. He built the church using Peter as the cornerstone. Has there been people who have perverted Christianity? Sure thing. But actual Christianity was important to Jesus and should be to us as well.

The Catholic Church has the Power to do so from GOD himself:
THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IN THE BIBLE
Jesus started a teaching and preaching church, not a Bible only church:
Mt.
Tradition:
Mt. 26:26 - Jesus raised the bread and said,
"This is my body."
Necessity of Good works:
Mt.
Do you think it is possible for the Roman Catholic church to apostatize?
Also, both Christians and Catholics believe in God and Jesus Christ.

Yep. Jesus didn’t come to start a new religion. He came to mend the broken relationship between man and God because of sin. 😍👍
But religion means to have a relationship with God
@@pelle5817 its a mans definition, therefore; man made
@@TamSak-il8yu just because the word is man made, doesn’t make religion man made.
Until the church admits that genesis was completely copied verbatim from Mesopotamian mythology this is bs the while thing
I watched the video and thought it was making fun of the guy the whole time until I saw the comments. There is no god
To which do I believe?
catholics do not " work it off" in purgatory: The Catholic Church holds that "all who die in God's grace and friendship but still imperfectly purified" undergo a process of purification after death, which the church calls purgatory, "
The way the title of the video is worded gives one the impression that whoever uploaded this video doesn't believe that Catholics are Christians.

---Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of them is forgotten. Their love and their hate and their envy have already perished, and forever they have no more share in all that is done under the sun.
---Psalm 6:5 For in death there is no remembrance of you; in Sheol who will give you praise?

---Genesis 3:19 By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”
----James 2:26 For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.
---Job 14:10-12 But a man dies and is laid low; man breathes his last, and where is he? As waters fail from a lake and a river wastes away and dries up, so a man lies down and rises not again; till the heavens are no more he will not awake or be roused out of his sleep.
--****John 3:13 No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.
---Hebrews 9:27 And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment. (Judgement on Judgement day)
---Acts 7:60 And falling to his knees he cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep (died).
---Revelation 20:4 Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
-----Job 14:12 So a man lies down and rises not again; till the heavens are no more he will not awake or be roused out of his sleep.
*****According to Catholics, God and the Gospels are liars !!!!
*****Where in those QUOTES FROM the BIBLE does any of those quotes even come close to purgatory being true???
Jesus's brother was James, so he did have siblings.
He has to talk over her...oops that's a problem
This girl asks which God is it there are many gods but only ONE GOD!
This man seems to ignore the book of James and probably Machabees.
What about the book of James did he ignore? We are saved by grace ALONE through faith & our actions to prove we have perfect faith. He’s preaching about being saved by what Jesus did on the cross, shedding his blood & being the perfect guilt offering for the world 🙌🏽
5:40 i lost it here…
(edit) different God in the bible?
lol
Yes, she is not even Catholic. Did you hear her say Mary herself was immaculately conceived?
One of the sacraments is holy orders and not everyone receives it neither matrimony. The sacraments are meant to help us cooperate with the holy Spirit. And live a Christian life.

Christian--what is it??
A FOLLOWER of Christ!! A Follower of HIS TEACHINGS!!!
DO you FOLLOW His teachings????
@@mitchellosmer1293imperfectly but yes.
She doesn’t have a lot of guilt for her to be Catholic
Pardon me but the good news is Eternal Life instead of Death. The wages of sin is death not Eternal Conscious Torment. And the gift of God is eternal life. Your tradition has blinded your eyes to what the Good News is. You should stop preaching a false gospel.
When you are baptized you are born again
Why do catholics not read the Bible. I know some Catholics who have been saved and their eyes were opened. How can any catholic not question a pope? As I understand it, a group of men select a person to become a pope, who is suppose to be God on earth. Why do they argue what Jesus did on the cross, what he did on the third day. Jesus said no one comes to the Father but by me. As you said by grace you are saved through faith.
Those are casuals, everyone has them, including your 1000 denominations y’all invented
Poorly catechised girl, not representative of the one true faith. Read the Catechism for Integration of tradition and scripture
He's debating young college students who are still learning the Catholic faith. A fair debate would be with someone like Trent Horn, Jimmy Akins, Father Mike Schmitz, Bishop Barron, etc. This conversation would look A LOT different.
AMEN to that.
So, what I am hearing is a catholic would dispute that Jesus died for us? Not trying to be argumentative, but what is he saying that is wrong?

Mark 16:15-18 NKJV
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned."
So you are blaming him for fufilling one of Jesus' commandments: preaching the good news??
Utter BS
Even though I am a Roman Catholic, I love this video. God bless the Todd Friel, and may He guide that girl also
5:26 I don't get how anyone can believe that a supposedly loving, just, mercyful and forgiving god would punish someone eternally for anything.
@@Nataly-do4pe I don't think I missed any point. It is a horrible and ridiculous belief! And you have just added to the stupidity of it!

John 3:11-19
Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony.
Some guy made Mormonism and that gay mixed in his beliefs to make the bible side with his beliefs
Teach children to count to 5
1) our GOD came to us
2) baby Jesus was born
3) Jesus died in our place for our sin
4) Jesus ROSE from death & LIVES
5) Jesus REIGNS & comes to RULE earth

To be skeptical.
Become independent thinkers.
To question everything.
To come to rational conclusions.

Definition of Religion - study of how mankind alters & adapts when a new item to be worshipped is introduced into a culture . . . way back in history, that was a new idol or process of worship, habits developed into traditions, today it is that car you gotta have, the newest phone & worship is how many people noticed you & clicked the LIKE button.
Definition of Theology - mankind study of the only God who created the universe; however each interprets their own ideas of what the Bible says to them personally & ignores what they don't like, agree with, or understand . . . over time, gathering groups of like minded thinkers, develop their specific worship ceremonies & voila, now they have another new religion.
God's Word is HIS Story, we don't have the right to change what He told us about Himself, what He wanted us to know & why it is important for us to understand . . . He gave us the choice to believe it or not . . . that is not going to change HIM when He is ready to judge each if us.
There is only ONE "work" you can do for your own salvation : yield to His Will.

Many have one but never read it because they are never encouraged
to read it. THAT is the fault of Rome, their local Bishop and their Parish Priest. Except, all this is systemic within the Catholic culture. They are nice people but have been veiled from the full truth of God's word.
Let's look at Scripture I'll give the Biblical along with the with a TL;DR of each:
John 14:12-21 Jesus said believers will not only do the works He did but greater ones and that He would send an Advocate, the Spirit of Truth. (Jesus clearly says believers will not only do what He did but even greater works. Did He lie? I don't think He did. To that end I will also give some of Jesus' works too along with Biblical references too.
Luke 10 Jesus sent disciples with the power to give Peace and to wipe the dirt of the town off their sandals, to cure the sick, and proclaim The Kingdom of God out
Matthew 16:17-19 Jesus changes Simon's name to Peter and gives him the keys to the kingdom with the power to bind and loose on both Heaven and Earth. This mirrors Isaiah 22:22
Isaiah 22:22 The keys to the House of David and the only one with the power to open and close doors.
Matthew 17:24-27 Jesus Pays the Temple Tax. The collector comes up to Peter not Jesus and asks him if his teacher pays the temple tax. Jesus ask for Peter's opinion on the tax and agrees but doesn't want to give offense to them.
Matthew 28:16-20 This is The Great Commission Jesus claims that God gave Him all authority when He proclaimed "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me." Mark 1:32-34 More Healings.
The onlookers were all astonished and they glorified God, saying, “We have never before witnessed anything like this.”

Mark 3:1-6 A Man with a Withered Hand. Jesus heals a man without a hand on the Sabbath. Amen, I say to you, from now on I shall not drink this fruit of the vine until the day when I shall drink it anew in the kingdom of God.”
Mark 16:14-18 Jesus Appears to and Commissions the Eleven. The sick on whom they lay their hands will recover.”

Go in peace.”
Luke 10:16 We get the doctrine of In Persona Christi again. "He who hears you hears Me, and he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me."
John 14:12-21 Jesus said believers will not only do the works He did but greater ones and that He would send an Advocate, the Spirit of Truth.

Logical reasoning:
Many issues will come up along the way as the faith grows so The Church must have the authority to deal with these issues as they come along. This would go to which books are Cannon, Jesus' relationship to the Father, The nature of Jesus, The relationship of The Holy Spirit to The Father and Jesus, and many more issues. We get the resolution process for these issues from Acts 15 and the Council of Jerusalem. Without this process under which authority are:
Arianism (God alone was without beginning, unoriginate; the Son was originated, and once had not existed. For all that has an origin must begin to be),
Gnosticism ( the doctrine of salvation by knowledge),
Marcionism (There are 2 different Gods the God of the Old Testiment and The God of Jesus and by extension the God Jesus proclaimed),
Modalism (There is only 1 God and He reveals Himself through Different modes or manifestations and very anti-Trinitarian),
Montanism (taught that the Holy Spirit was continuing to give new revelation through Montanus and his followers and that Jesus would soon bring the New Jerusalem to a place in Phrygi),
Adoptionism (Jesus was not born the Son of God, but was adopted at either His baptism, resurrection or ascension),
Docetism (Jesus was just an illusion and lacked a material body)
heresies?
He referred to the Epistle of James as “The Epistle of Straw” (a comment that he removed from subsequent versions of his bible) and the rest he called “Judaizing nonsense.”
All of that about Cannon and we still haven't touched on the bigger issue of translation. How can anyone be sure what they're reading is accurately translated? There are after all some people out there today that claim the word homosexual was a mistranslated word done deliberately by homophobes.
Let's look at some modern day issues:
Is birth control, and abortion OK? When does life begin? Can anyone give Biblical reference for when life begins?
@@michaelZ1B
We are 100 percent Bible Christians that believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and stands as the support and energy of the Church and there is perhaps no other aspect of the Catholic faith that exemplifies this more than The Holy Sacrifice of The Mass.
Hi.
He lies about the catholic church!
