"I have to be honest with you. I was never a Senna fan. I always thought Gille Villeneuve was the greatest racing driver of them all. But to make this film, i've had to watch hours and hours of footage. And the thing is...Villeneuve was spectacular on a number of occasions...Senna, he was spectacular every single time he got in a car..."
It's a great song. If it wasn't people who found it on Top Gear wouldn't have come here. I've discovered countless amazing songs I'd never heard of before they appeared on Top Gear
I am over 60y.o. and have the past few days just heard Bat for Lashes and I feel very humbled by the sheer brilliant sound and power of all her singing. The last 50 years has produced a multitude of really wonderful artists, but this woman`s talents are the best I have seen and heard. I just hope she doesn`t flood the market too much. Stay special!!!
I love how intense it gets when the drums kick in. This is a beautifully sad and cruel song about a woman trying her best to nurture a relationship while fighting off the dark and destructive side of human nature.
Listened to this song first when I was 16, it became one of my all time favorites and after all these years, now, at 28, it manages to make me tear up still. Idek why
Tdot heisenberg Thank you! Is that a screencap of Joe Pesci in Goodfellas? Casino? If so then you're pretty awesome because he's my second favourite actor lol.
You got it, ha its joe pesci in goodfellas, the bar scene with liotta, I was born the same day as pesci actually, its kinda cool, im also half italian so I have a soft spot for the mobsters movies, is that your real name , because its not a boring one, ive never heard the name miriama before its sounds cooler than my first name haha my name Thomas is a little played out
xNeFShARkx It's what women end up doing all their lives: sacrificing everything for their husbands, children, families, careers. Men have no idea. No idea at all.
Harriet Jackson I dont think so, Women are expected to be carekeepers, cook, watch the house, the children, and keep their legs closed in the process. Men are out to work (whatever that is) through that entire time. If war happens men are out to fight that war. Though in a modern society men don't need to prove themselves as much since there isn't as many challenges as there used to be. Back when people built their own homes, worked their farms, Women wouldn't be able to do that on their own, the society we live today wouldn't exist without men. So how the hell is this unfair.
This song is so beautiful. SO beautiful. I love her so much. She's incredible. Her music sounds like missing something you can't remember ever having... like a past life or something. Haunting
i think this is a song about wanting to make her loved one (boyfriend) happy. until this inevitable feeling comes along in her that makes her feel the need to destroy and sabotage the relationship. and she knows it wont be long until her someone gets sick of it and leaves for good. but she doesnt want to make him unhappy, remember. she wants to make him happy and proud and with her. so she will always see her faults and start over. try not to let him down. well, till the siren comes.
This has always been one of my favorite tracks of all time. It's so otherworldly, ethereal, and cathartic. Such a wide range of emotion and passion. It's perfection.
An instrumental version of the song was used in a very emotive tribute video to Ayrton Senna, a Formula 1 driver who died racing about 20 years ago, regarded as one of the best ever. It was on Top Gear, very famous car TV show.
several of her song, the first few moments are, man i aint gonna like this one.. then the tempo builds, her voice begins soaring softly... and i pull back my hand and turn up the volume. her whispers.
SENNA is the GOD!!!...RIP SENNA!!!...just thinkin about that great man along the music goes, thnk u Top Gear to tribute such a wonderful music to such a amazing guy!!!...
She is amazing...her voice is haunting as well as beautiful...and she her self has a more natural and honest beauty then those silly overrated musicians who are photoshoped.
"Tbh with you, I was never a Senna fan, I always thought that Gilles Villeneuve was the greatest driver, But... To make this film, I watched hours and hours and hours of footage and the thing is, Villeneuve was spectacular on a number of occasions, Senna, he was spectacular every single time he got in a car" -J.Clarkson
I bet she is. She would have to be... I imagine her shows are like old Stevie Nicks concerts. The mood is perfect, the lighting is dim, and her voice echoes through the hall for 2 hours. Such a solid atmosphere.
+danofzanzibar what are some other great moments on top gear with beautiful music like this? I can think of the time they drove the f12 berlinetta through the countryside to Bat For Lashes - moon & moon, that was also great
@sirdiggar 'cause the music increases its level, sound and power towards the end, and then stops and reflects...and then goes in the rush again. And seems neverending. Just like Ayrton was, and is.
Top Gear did a tribute to Aryton Senna and at the end of the video they showed a compilation of Aryton driving and within that video this song is playing in the background, it made the video and music so much more powerful. I would suggest looking it up if you are interested. Hope this helps :)
Keith Shelton I disagree it is a wonderful track with brilliant lyrics but it just takes something like a tribute to bring new people to BFL albums etc. Don’t say unfortunate, not the right words
it's: "mama was a heartbreaker / loved you the same way i do / but i've got so much wickedness and sin" it says the lyrics in the book that comes with the vinyl version of Two Suns. such an amazing song. the whole album is amazing.
"I have to be honest with you. I was never a Senna fan. I always thought Gille Villeneuve was the greatest racing driver of them all. But to make this film, i've had to watch hours and hours of footage. Im here because of the greatest driver of all time
RIP senna
Thank you, I don't know if I'm the greatest though
@@krystoph4420 you’re too modest
Great song. The climax of the song gives me chills. Heard it off of Vampire Diaries and thought it was amazing.
It's a great song. If it wasn't people who found it on Top Gear wouldn't have come here. I've discovered countless amazing songs I'd never heard of before they appeared on Top Gear
We miss you Ayrton but you will never be forgotten. You still impact new generations to be the best we can be. Thank you

534wiseoldwolf it's beauty in what's a beautiful disaster of most relationships. All of mine. I feel like the poster child. Hauntingly beautiful.
It kind of reminds me of Anakin's feelings for Padme.
"and the thing is, Villeneuve was spectacular on a number of occasions, Senna, he was spectacular every single time he got in a car"
R.I.P. Senna.
Thanks Bat for Lashes.
thanks Top Gear..

Being second is to be the first of the ones who lose - Ayrton Senna
I have a tattoo in portuguese on my forearm with this quote.
Happy Birthday, Ayrton!
I love this woman. Her music is so beautifully layered and cosmic yet strangely grounded. This song in particular makes me swoon. Just gorgeous.
Ayrton senna - THE greatest racing driver. Top gear - THE greatest car show. We'll never see the likes again.
This is not just music, this is magic.
The Vampire diaries yes this song is amazing.
"villeneuve was spectacular in several occasion. Senna, he's spectacular every single time he got in the car"
I think it's the most tragic love song I've ever heard.
great tribute to Senna
My taste in music brought me here.
shots fired lol
Real music 👍🌹
Your beautiful, just like this song

Holy shit, am I the only one that came for Natasha Khan and her beautifull mesmerizing voice knowing what I seek?
Na yo I came 4da song 2 lol long time fav
TopGear-Ayrton Sennna Tribute
Same here.
You commit yourself to such a level where there is no compromise. You give everything you have, everything, absolutely everything - Ayrton Senna.
xNeFShARkx It's what women end up doing all their lives: sacrificing everything for their husbands, children, families, careers. Men have no idea. No idea at all.
Its a kind of rage at the unfairness of it all. So much is expected of women. So much.

+Harriet Jackson Such a stupid comment to make on a phrase by Ayrton. This is why feminism gets such a bad reputation sometimes.
Daughter, Bat for Lashes, Florence + The Machine... damn i love my life!
+Chizom Anime Good taste in music.
literally my favorite bands and performers are in one sentence. You are an awesome person
Exactly! I made a playlist with those music artists.
You're missing Emma Ruth Rundle and Chelsea Wolfe for a little darkness
You're missing PJ Harvey too
This song is so beautiful. SO beautiful.
I love her so much. She's incredible. Her music sounds like missing something you can't remember ever having... like a past life or something.
Haunting

She has such a beautiful and evocative voice: her lyrics speak volumes.
It's depressing but cheerful at the same time to me?
the chorus is hauting. i am totallly in love with this song!
The danger sensation is exciting. The challenge is to find new dangers - Ayrton Senna
This has always been one of my favorite tracks of all time. It's so otherworldly, ethereal, and cathartic. Such a wide range of emotion and passion. It's perfection.
I'm pretty sure Bat for Lashes did not have Senna in mind. But the song fits him perfectly.
Senna tribute vid...brought me here...
This could honestly be a song about a relationship where one person suffers from bipolar or multiple personality disorders. I've always thought that.
Me too
That is how I interpret the lyrics.
Top Gear Ayrton Senna tribute brought me here--a snippet of this song at the end of it.
Thank you Top Gear, Thank you
The wall of sound that the song slowly builds up to is super impressive.
Anyone who asks who Senna is, needs to go on Netflix right NOW and get his movie.
Senna brought me here!
Senna will forever live on on the track
Because of this amazing tribute Top Gear made for Ayrton Senna, I will always associate this one single song with him. Epic!
Absolutely with you there! Also, this is the reason why I'm listening to it now! After watching series 15 episode 5 just!!!
25 years ago today we lost one of the best F1 drivers. Aryton Senna, top gears tribute to him was beautiful!
more like THE BEST
Top Gear- Ayrton Senna tribute
Wow... what did I just listen to? Just... wow. Ear magic?
When I listen to sad songs I always pretend I am in the music video for some reason
An instrumental version of the song was used in a very emotive tribute video to Ayrton Senna, a Formula 1 driver who died racing about 20 years ago, regarded as one of the best ever. It was on Top Gear, very famous car TV show.
This is absolutly breathtaking!
RIP SENNA! The Greatest of all.
great song i loved it since i heard it for the first time on vampire diaries
It's absolutely impossible. Bat, you're an angel. I can't see any other explanation. I love you so
Pakistan
i love this song!! i havent heard it in years.. for some reason thought of the band tonight and then found this song!! still remember every word!!
She has a new meaning to songs. U can really hear her compassion for music in her lyrics and voice.
several of her song, the first few moments are, man i aint gonna like this one..
then the tempo builds, her voice begins soaring softly...
and i pull back my hand and turn up the volume. her whispers.
Beautiful song, I never heard anything so amazing! It freezes me in the back..!
Love it ♥
SENNA is the GOD!!!...RIP SENNA!!!...just thinkin about that great man along the music goes, thnk u Top Gear to tribute such a wonderful music to such a amazing guy!!!...
the ending of this song always makes my chest feel empty... so beautiful though
She is amazing...her voice is haunting as well as beautiful...and she her self has a more natural and honest beauty then those silly overrated musicians who are photoshoped.
I have heard the name Bat for Lashes before... today was the first day i listened to her.... she is AMAZING... Glad i wound up here
The song used in the end of TopGear tribute to Ayrton Senna !!!
Love ur profile pic (sorry, is random)

It’s enchanting..
Ayrton Senna
Ayrton Senna - Top Gear! Best Song!
Catch her as soon as you can. Her small intimate shows are truly amazing. Her voice haunts the place like a ghost. One of a kind.
"I promise i'll never get sad..."
Top gear Senna
She's a massive Kate Bush fan. Respect.
Gorgeous. just Gorgeous!!
TVD brought me here
I bet she is. She would have to be...
I imagine her shows are like old Stevie Nicks concerts.
The mood is perfect, the lighting is dim, and her voice echoes through the hall for 2 hours.
Such a solid atmosphere.
I love the other-worldly, surreal feel of her music. I wish there were more groups like this.
"can i stop off in your bed tonight?"
...I wish I wrote that.
Listen to those distorted bass notes in the background during the build-up. LUV IT.
This song's awesome... How did I get here? Oyeaaahh I wrote down siren's song for no reason then heard this and fell in love
why does this song match senna so well?
+Sirdiggar
Because the videography, direction, journalism, and music selection in season 10 was incredible
+danofzanzibar what are some other great moments on top gear with beautiful music like this? I can think of the time they drove the f12 berlinetta through the countryside to Bat For Lashes - moon & moon, that was also great
stooni13 there was one about the vantage V12 I believe. the background music was an ending by Brian eno
@@stooni13 i really liked the huayra review from Hammond. Not exactly this type of music but the end was still pretty amazing.
@sirdiggar 'cause the music increases its level, sound and power towards the end, and then stops and reflects...and then goes in the rush again. And seems neverending. Just like Ayrton was, and is.
i only know this song from the top gear episode
There is a touch of Feist about this song...loving it!
This song is totally haunting in good way
Images of a McLaren MP4/4 screaming through the streets of Monaco, camera shaking to add to the sense of speed
the song gives me goosebumps while i think about senna, excellent episode to a great driver. 1:14 that rhythm as the TG video ended was amazing.
"top gear senna tribute bought me here" - so i'm not alone :D
Top gear tribute to Ayrton Senna .Love it
Two Suns is definitely on my top 5 of albums of the year.
RIP Senna
This song is so haunting. I love it!
Top Gear did a tribute to Aryton Senna and at the end of the video they showed a compilation of Aryton driving and within that video this song is playing in the background, it made the video and music so much more powerful. I would suggest looking it up if you are interested. Hope this helps :)
Her voice is incredibly powerful.
The kinda music I think I could easily "zone out" to a world of my own :)
Just a BFL fan; no redirection from the Vampire Diaries or Senna, or what have you...
Natasha
Like 90 percent of the comments associate this beautiful track with a racecar driver, so unfortunate.
Keith Shelton I disagree it is a wonderful track with brilliant lyrics but it just takes something like a tribute to bring new people to BFL albums etc.
Don’t say unfortunate, not the right words
Came after TopGear Ayrton Senna perfect music track for the tribute!
OMG! this is such a powerful and amazing song. she is gorge, just like her voice.
it's: "mama was a heartbreaker / loved you the same way i do / but i've got so much wickedness and sin"
it says the lyrics in the book that comes with the vinyl version of Two Suns. such an amazing song. the whole album is amazing.
genius swelling the reverb and production like that. and of course a great song and songstress.
I wasn't brought here by anything but my love of this song!
This song is so to the nines... beautiful!
Thank you Top Gear !!!
That tribute to Senna and this song was a perfect combination !!!
Senna brought me here.
I love this song!
i see a red & white mclaren whilst listening this :)
Stumbled by this by pure chance - I'm happy I did.
I listen to her songs almost every single day. I'm addicted.
