Sad to say I'm here for the same reason. My sweet girl is 16 years old and we may have to put her down tomorrow, and I would like one last keepsake from her in case they won't let us keep her ashes due to the pandemic.
Thank u this was really simple. I kept saying I was going to do this. But I found this earlier today and I did it. My precious Nika passed away this morning even tho I wanted to do this sooner. But this was fast and simple. Thank u for ur video.
Thank you for making this. Sadly, I’ll be having to put 2 of my dogs down this Saturday and with Michaels currently closed and stores out of stock, I wasn’t sure how I was going to capture their paws, so I’ll be sure to try this
So this only lasts for a week if you don't glaze ot? So it does what- gets moldy and breaks apart? Was hoping for something permanent and easy without having to buy paint.
Thank you so much! This was so helpful as i love my dog sooo much! Is it possible to not have to use the tumeric, as i would rather have it white, but is it a item that you need to make the dough!?
The turmeric is just for colouring the dough, you don't really need it unless you want it to be yellow, so if you want it white instead just don't use it :) xxx
A fun thing i figured out i can do with the flour dough paw print is make a mold out of it for resin to get a nice replica of your dogs pads ..make sure you get a nice deep print Fill in any holes made by the nails by placeing a slightly bigger ball of dough in the hole Dip your funfure un water to smooth it out and blend the edges until it looks like there never was a hole Then use somthing flat to make it as flat as you can without changing how the print looks if you want it to be your dogs print. If you dont mind of its not and exact match to your dogs print then make it as flat as you you want .you can always sand later. After bakeing Use gloss modge podge and put a 4 or 5 think layers going over the edge down the sides Then use clay or hot glue ect to make a border around the edge I use cheap air dry crayola clay and small aamount of hot glue so it can be peeled away Pour your resin Let dry Remove border Then find the edge of the thick layers of dried mode podge going all around the edge peeling upward leaving it attached. The grab the podge you just peeled As well as the dried resin edge and slowly pry it out. It should peel right out leaving your flour dough print how it looked freash out the oven before putting mode podge on it Peel away the excess dried mod podge and your done. Any that doesn't come off the resin its ok, you have to de light sanding anyway. Make sure you put enough layers of mod podge Cause the heat of the resin will melt through thin layers sticking to the flour print This is just a cheap way if you only have flour and mod podge but no liquid latex or whatever they use you make molds I just wanted my dogs print but not a pressed in print . I wanted you mount it on a plaque making it look like my dogs pads were popping out instead of in.and i just used what i had and figured it out . Im sure there is a easier way with proper materials.. Hope someone finds it useful 👍👎?
I love this! Thank you!!! Am I doing it wrong though? My dough comes out very very sticky which makes it impossible to get a mold of my pups paw. Can anyone help?
Summit X I’m so so sorry for your loss. I bet your kitty is watching over you. Cancer sucks. I just lost my dad to cancer. My thoughts are with you. Thank you for your help with the recipe. I’ll try not adding as much water. My main concern is that the dough is sticking to my dogs paws when I do the impression and I’m not sure if that’s normal.
This didn't work for me, I measured exactly using a measuring cup and wound up with a sticky awful mess, nothing close to even try to use. I tried it twice.
GOOD QUESTION! I bet you're right. I'm gonna dip my babies hands in a tub of water to rinse them well after I get their impressions. Thanks for bringing this up.
The salt won’t stick to their paws. Their may be trace amounts of salt but not enough to burn them, not to mention exposure time is minimum. Rinse their paws in hot water after to be safe.
My brother is in the military and our family doggos are getting older so for his birthday I'm shipping him these paw prints cause he really loves our dogs to death
Thank you I’m making this for my dog today before I have to put her down.
My little lovely Bostie is going to sleep tonight and I want to do this before she has to leave us..
I'm so sorry to hear about her passing :( I hope you're coping okay!!
@@jennifergorman7723 So sorry to hear :( Sending you

Tomorrow is my cats last day with me..I'm devastated but need to memorialize her she was the most special pet to me as a child
Im so sorry for your loss. Did the paw print work out?
I just make this for my cats. I decided to let my older cat rest tomorrow and I wanted something else to remember him.
Thank you for this. 💕
I’m in the same position, tomorrow I have to say goodbye to my older cat. I hope your print turned out beautifully. :(

Use oxygen wrap sheet or wax paper
Thank you My cat passed away on Friday and I wanted to make paw 🐾 for me and my daughter ❤️
Can I use this as a mold to use with plaster?
I want something that last as long as possible
how long will this last for
Can I put it in the air fryer instead technically that is also baking right?
Will it mold when you have it for years?
How do I stop mine from cracking
More water. Too dry
omg this is so cute
Is self raising flour okay or wholemeal
It's me okay avoid using self raising flour as it'll bloat in the oven. plain flour is recommended but wholemeal is okay too (you can paint over it)
How long will it last?
do you need to add the tumric stuff
jewel Burris no you don't, i only used it to add colour to the dough
Feed My Paws OK! thank you very much and I will make this for my 12 month puppy! 💗
jewel Burris my pleasure! hope you'll enjoy this little project :)
does this mold?
Catalina Oliva it doesn't mold if properly dried before placing in a container/frame :)
How long do you bake it for?
15 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 180 degrees Celsius
hi baking is in the normal baking mode or convention mode?
I think just regular baking
Is the mold gonna be a long last one ?
Its got salt in it so it won’t rot.:)
Thank you
What is the turmeric for?
It was for colouring
This didn't work for me, I measured exactly using a measuring cup and wound up with a sticky awful mess, nothing close to even try to use. I tried it twice.
Isn’t salt bad for dog paws? It burns the skin
