i’m doing this for my animals! 2 of 5 only let me do theirs but i’m just gonna bake those 2 and see how they turn out then i’m gonna do my other 3! my 2 dogs will not let me do it lol and one of my cats won’t either, but i’m gonna make them because these are so cute!
A fun thing i figured out i can do with the flour dough paw print is make a mold out of it for resin to get a nice replica of your dogs pads ..make sure you get a nice deep print Fill in any holes made by the nails by placeing a slightly bigger ball of dough in the hole Dip your funfure un water to smooth it out and blend the edges until it looks like there never was a hole Then use somthing flat to make it as flat as you can without changing how the print looks if you want it to be your dogs print. If you dont mind of its not and exact match to your dogs print then make it as flat as you you want .you can always sand later. After bakeing Use gloss modge podge and put a 4 or 5 think layers going over the edge down the sides Then use clay or hot glue ect to make a border around the edge I use cheap air dry crayola clay and small aamount of hot glue so it can be peeled away Pour your resin Let dry Remove border Then find the edge of the thick layers of dried mode podge going all around the edge peeling upward leaving it attached. The grab the podge you just peeled As well as the dried resin edge and slowly pry it out. It should peel right out leaving your flour dough print how it looked freash out the oven before putting mode podge on it Peel away the excess dried mod podge and your done. Any that doesn't come off the resin its ok, you have to de light sanding anyway. Make sure you put enough layers of mod podge Cause the heat of the resin will melt through thin layers sticking to the flour print This is just a cheap way if you only have flour and mod podge but no liquid latex or whatever they use you make molds I just wanted my dogs print but not a pressed in print . I wanted you mount it on a plaque making it look like my dogs pads were popping out instead of in.and i just used what i had and figured it out . Im sure there is a easier way with proper materials.. Hope someone finds it useful 👍👎?
Hello, most of the recipes I saw that called for 1 cup of salt also called for more flour. The amount I made only makes about 6-8 circle ornaments but if you are wanting to make more you could do 1 cup of salt and 2 cups of flour. I have also seen people use different amounts and cold water instead of hot water, so I don't think it needs to be exactly the same as mine to work!
Just went and doubled checked my recipe and measuring cup! That is 1/2 a cup of water! You need to use the same amount of salt and water and double the amount of flour. I did have it written incorrectly in the description so I went and changed it. So my recipe was 1 cup of flour, 1/2 cup salt and 1/2 cup hot water. You can also do 2 cups of flour and 1 cup of salt and hot water if you want more salt dough!
Thanks I’m definitely doing this before next Christmas🎅🏻😁
You should! I love them so much
I just done this now for my kitten I made a massive one. Thank you for this. Xx
So happy you will have a print of your kitten forever!
Step 1: have a Docile kitty
Do I have to put mod Podge?
Yes you do, because its flour it will go bad after a while if you don't cover it in mod podge

How do you write the names in the dough , best tool idea ? Please help , just messed one up
Hello, once they were cooked and cooled I painted them and then once that was fully dry I used a black fine tip sharpie to write on them!
Would pink Himalayan salt work?
I have never tried it but as far as I have heard you can use it!

Doing this for my dog who is getting put to sleep tonight. Glad I caught this vid.
So sorry to hear about your dog, it will be a lovely keepsake
Oh my goodness.. my heart and prayers are with you ..I'm so so sorry :(
I have a question. Is it necessary to put mod podge?
Mod Podge is extremely important! It makes it so the flour does not ever go bad/mold.
Cats like nooo 😂
Haha they didn't love it
Both our kitties were so great letting you do this. Thanks Pepè and Beans for being such good boys
Love them! And only you can appreciate how hard it was for me to catch Beans to do this.
@@ChantelleCynthia yeah he is elusive
Can someone say is how many is ? I will watch again at home. So someone please coukd tell?
Okay but 2-3 hours????
Yes, I am sure you could do it for less time but thats how long it took mine to feel hard.
I saw another recipe/formula that called for a cup of salt. Is there a benefit to using more or less salt? Thank you!

Great video, can I use glue instead of mod podge?
I have only ever tried mod podge but as long as it dries clear I am sure it is fine!
Ok I purchased some mod podge and I really loved the recipe I did a print of my dogs paw it came out perfect!
@@afterschoolworks8454 Yay! So glad it turned out perfect and you will forever have your dogs paw print!
They came out cute love them !
Thank-you! I love how they turned out!
That looks like its 1 cup of hot water not 1/2 so now im confused

Yes! It hardens it so you can paint it! You also want to bake it and use the mod podge because of the flour it will go bad eventually if you don’t
@@ChantelleCynthia okay thank you
Im putting mine In a 3D picture frame x
That sounds so cool!
Can you use puzzle glue instead of mod boge
Sorry I have never worked with puzzle glue before! Maybe try a google search for that!
I love this soooo much! Thank you!
Thank-you for watching! :)
