Excellent video, thanks I moved to Israel 11 years ago and there were some recent Yemenite Jewish immigrants who lived in the absorption center I was living in and the wife wore a burka.
While there was indeed a more distinct Mediterranean ethnicity during the age of King Saul, King David, King Solomon and so on, the obsession with “what race” were the original Israelites Jews, becomes spiritually irrelevant, as God does not care of the ethnic DNA of one who seeks God. Conversely, it is the present day ethnic diversity within global Judaism that makes Judaism stronger. Ashkenaz, Sephardi, Mizrahi, the fact that many different “colors” and ethnicities make up present day Israel, is exactly what God wanted all along. It’s only humans themselves that become obsessed with the question of which ethnicities were the first to recognize the Almighty. In the end, we are all the same as in the beginning. Souls of God. The ethnic origins are merely human, the Soul is cosmic. 🙏🏼
Not exactly. Babylonian Jews are the closest. Teimanim (Yemenite Jews) are more complex. There is considerable Arabian admixture, as revealed in DNA. But the Judaean seed population was quite similar to the Babylonian (Iraqi) Jews.

There were never any problems between the Muslims and the Jews in Yemen. They always lived in peace. In fact, our brothers are all the same. Same language.
According to multiple DNA tests performed on Yemenite Jews, they were found to have DNA from the Levant region. History shows that there was a group of people in Yemen who converted to Judaism during the period of King Joseph Dhu Nuhas, but this history also shows that King Joseph and most of his Jewish community were killed in the war with the Christians. The reminds of his community returned to their religious beliefs before their conversion. Moreover, according to a DNA study conducted in Israel recently, it was found that among all the Jewish communities, Yemenite Jews are the most closest to the Jewish skeletons have been buried in the Land Of Israel before the destruction of the Temple. It was also found that Yemenite Jews and Ashkenazi Jews have common DNA segments. Ganologically, many Yemenite Jews have surnames such as Cohen and Levi, and it is Inconceivable and uncommitted to reality, that a convert Jew could adopt such names, which is a severe ban on Judaism. Genetically, any male by the Cohen or Levy family name can be easily tested and identified by a chromosomal Y test, the genetic modal for Cohen and Levi is very known. In order to understand the meaning of the names of these families one has to read the Bible, the members of these families were given roles in the work of the temple directly from God. Being from the Levi and Cohen families necessitates inheriting these names since biblical times, and it really does not make sense that the first thing a Jew who has just converted will come into conflict with God. I am aware of attempts by some Yemenis to identify a genetic link between them and Yemenite Jews, but this attempt is wrong. Although these attempts are very flattering to Yemenite Jews, it has nothing to do with reality. Muslims from Yemen who perform DNA tests and discover for themselves that they have a genetic link to Yemenite Jews does not surprise me at all, because many of orphaned Yemenite Jews were taken by Muslims due to Zaidi law. Saudi Arabians who also perform DNA tests and find Jewish blood, this is due to the fact that in the battle against the Jews in Hijaz, Jewish women and Jewish children were captured. In conclusion and without any doubt, Yemenite Jews are the authentic Jews who were exiled from the Land of Israel.
Majority of the a ancient Israelites left Jerusalem or the land of Canaan and went to the South, to Arabia, because of a prophecy of a prophet who will be a semite, decendent of kidar, for all of mankind and it was the Prophet Muhammad of Islam , majority of them converted to Islam. In the longer years and as we know majority of the Israelites around 9 to 10 tribes converted to the Islamic faith and most of them actually went to the east, went to the east, what we call today, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India. The other 2 or 3 tribes went to southern Europe, Spain , Italy Greece and Northern Africa.

Does anyone know the title of the old documentary about Yemenite Jews that UA-cam deleted some time within the last 3 years? The documentary was filmed in Yemen and seemed like it was old, recorded sometime between 1960s and 1990s. It was NOT from the Spielberg archive, the film contained NO western music in the background and only hebrew is used in the video (with english subtitles) Does anyone know what happened to this video? It was a very rare inside look at the Yemenite jewish community IN yemen, showed them singing tehillim, etc.
My grand mother was a Yemenite Jewess, who had to run away to American. Ended up in Venezuela, and later on to the Dominican Republic where she died of Tuberculosis at the age of 43. Our people has been running through out the centuries but Hashem, blessed is He, has always gracefully given us riches, if not in the material world, in the Spirit world. Because we have Him, in our heart and soul. The world have tried to domain us, dispirit us, but have not been successful. My grand mother came to DR in the 1840's or 50's, the Inquisition in Spain I believe ended by the end of the 18th century. I would like the world to know that not matter what you do to us, the Jewish people will not be exterminated. Because Hashem, blessed is He, is with us.

Good information. As far as I know, after the independence of Israel many Arab nations kicked most of the Jews who lived there thus creating what one could call a counter-Nakba. With the difference, of course, that they didn´t inherit the refugee status but were absorbed into Israeli society. What I don´t know is up to what degree they have been absorbed. Could you please illustrate me on that?
As a yemeni I can say that jewish yemenis. Refused badly to leave yemen even if there was some hardship until the war on 2010. They believed and loved the land of yemen even if already left the still carrie the of yemen to this day. They also very much loved the culture which they helped create together with arab or even Muslims. Here in yemen must of the popular music that we still listen to in weddings or as daily routines like when we drive or friend gathering. Also from my experience of what I saw during traveling inside yemen the villages and cities that jewish used to live in are still there and no one destroyed it. Also one time I saw an old graveyard on (ibb alshaar) where the village community came together and put gate all around the graveyard and cleaned it as owner for the jewish people. COOL FACT arabs consider eastern jewish people as there cousins. VERY GOOD FACT the oldest Torah was in yemen For you to say if they never left that would give them hard time
Sadly does not exist anymore a Yemenite Jewish community as great as was in Yemen long time ago regarding religious observance and traditional lifestyle in all aspects.
No marriage allowed between jew woman and Alexander the great. He was fascinated from the Jewish religion but marriage not allowed.

You are right . Most of my family in South Yemen was orginaly Jewish but but that dose not mean they have read the Jewish piple book Because Jewish piple was with very littel familys So that why Israel Goverment want the books more than the familys
I am sorry for what happened to those Jew in Yemen and in Israel... all what they wanted to do is holding to their faith I hope for peace where all of us go back to that beautiful land
No you are wrong. Yemeni Jews lived very peacefully and safely. With Muslims. All what you say happened in Christian Europe. Bani Israelis are children of Jacob as such they were the most respected in Islamic society in Yemen. ...
yemen or (tymen) mentioned in the bible more than 10 times ,adoms too mentioned a lot in the bible, adums mean in yemeni hebrew language red so in another yemeni accent adums mean hemyries or the red tribe who had concord yemen and most of arabian peninsula for many centuries . jewish is the religion the adums believe, jewish kings of adums mange yemen for long time .so yemen is the birth place of jews as it writtrn in the bible (god came from tymen) 3اللهُ يَجيءُ مِن تيمانَ، سفر حبقوق 3:3 habakkuk 33;3 .

In the Arabic books specialized in ancient lineages, it says that most of the Jews of Yemen are Arabs from the Himyar tribe, that the Ashkenazis are from the Khazars, and that the true children of Israel are the Sephardim.
hello, All Jews the offspring of Jacob from Yemen, did not come from Palestine, Yemen Jewish land top ( southe arabian peninsula is the holy torah lalnd, it's not palastine) .. My ancestors since 2000 years lived with the offspring of Jacob, Azd Qahtan tribes
Nonsense! Jews were in Yemen for over 2000 years after coming from ISRAEL! Do your homework! Also most of Yemenis used to be all Jews b4 converted to Islam!
+Phil Roberts Sorry I agree that Yemenite Jews r from Israel but many Muslims also convert to Judaism. Jews In Yemen were actually forced to convert . that is history but again the Jews separated themselves from Muslims and lived mostly separated.
yemenite jews are ethnic yemenites; there's no difference between them and yemenite muslims except in religion stop beliving the bullshit lies they feed; im yemenite from yemen and very familiar with the yemenite tribes in yemen
guleet because historically speaking there turks and persians who actulley settled in yemen; so even some yemenite muslims got impacted by that; having light, fair skin, etc depending where you go in yemen; you would realize that the jews and muslims from one area resemble each other more than the jews and muslims from another area; and along the line there was a sizeable number of andalusian jews who actulley migrated to yemen and settled in with the yemenite jews; these features you talk about tend to also be common with some yemenite muslims
Yemenite are of Esau children that's scriptures in its self in Obadiah 1 kjv Temen in hebrew means Yemen 🇾🇪 which are Yemenites Shall I not in that day, saith the Lord, even destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau? 9 And thy mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed, to the end that every one of the mount of Esau may be cut off by slaughter.
This is misinformation. The Jizya tax is a requirement for any and all non Muslims living under an Islamic government. Failure to pay this tax doesn’t result in the “locals doing whatever they wish” to the population not paying. A proper court system ensues with very fair options. If you decide to not pay your taxes you will face legal consequences. Secondly the non Muslim communities do not have to fight to protect Muslim lands like the Muslims have to (talking about Islamic govt and concept of Jizya). So them paying a Jizya is to their advantage and a fair contribution to society. In fact check how low the Jizya percentage even is. You’d be surprised.
Converts. its okay be a convert to Laws, Statutes, and Commandments of The MOST HIGH YAH! The issue is when a converts attempt take the blood born Israelites covenant with The MOST HIGH YAH. You can join but you can't claim what The MOST HIGH YAH has given to his servants.
Dhimmis is not a second class citizen. In fact Jews and Christians in the Muslim world were known to be wealthy and have power. Which would be impossible if they were second class citizens.

@@AM-fg5tg will history is wrong buddy because yemen I jews are real hebrews who migrated from Israel they are descendent of king omri or humrie thats why they get the name himyrite
Yemeni Jews were never Muslims . They were always Jews . They are not even Yemeni people . Their ethnicity is not Yemeni . Their ethnicity is something Jewish like mizrahi
aalhbuhuh Iughkji This is genetically confirmed. But Muslims have a requirement - perhaps either to invalidate the People of the Book or just as their religious politics - to say all Jews and Christians before Mohammed were Muslims so they can effectively tell their Muslim children that Islam has existed as long as Judaism, and that in fact the first Jew was a Muslim with the "beta" form of Judaism. This is also how they invalidate our claim to Israel.
You hit the nail on the head, muslims try to rewrite history to make their idol worshiping cult legit. You know, that black meteorite that they march around

Also, why are people in the comments so negative about this? it is just history from his perspective, how can this be propaganda? There are alot of yemeni jews in israel, Ofra Haza was also
You are right . Most of my family in South Yemen was orginaly Jewish but but that dose not mean they have read the Jewish piple book Because Jewish piple was with very littel familys So that why Israel Goverment want the books more than the familys

Great work
Meir Shenhav, am yemeni and what you are talking about sunni muslims is not right. Prejudice.
Israel and Jewdah are both Yemeni kingdoms known as Sheba and Himyar in historical sources.
I'm mostly Italian, but I am 3 % Teimanim, 3% Mizrahim, and 5% Ashkenazim. How has this Yemenite DNA come to Italy is unknown.
No you are wrong.
Yemeni Jews lived very peacefully and safely. With Muslims.
All what you say happened in Christian Europe.
Bani Israelis are children of Jacob as such
they were the most respected in Islamic society in Yemen.

yemen or (tymen) mentioned in the bible more than 10 times ,adoms too mentioned a lot in the bible, adums mean in yemeni hebrew language red so in another yemeni accent adums mean hemyries or the red tribe who had concord yemen and most of arabian peninsula for many centuries . jewish is the religion the adums believe, jewish kings of adums mange yemen for long time .so yemen is the birth place of jews as it writtrn in the bible (god came from tymen) 3اللهُ يَجيءُ مِن تيمانَ، سفر حبقوق 3:3 habakkuk 33;3 .
Organic D-lite exactly Judaism started in a small place in what’s called now Yemen and spread from there. It was never Palestines.

In conclusion and without any doubt, Yemenite Jews are the authentic Jews who were exiled from the Land of Israel.
yemenites and ethopian jews are the who separated from moses living egypt..others go to ethopia and some left to yemen
In the Arabic books specialized in ancient lineages, it says that most of the Jews of Yemen are Arabs from the Himyar tribe, that the Ashkenazis are from the Khazars, and that the true children of Israel are the Sephardim.
sephardim didn’t even speak hebrew 100 years ago what a ridiculous statement lmao
hello,
All Jews the offspring of Jacob from Yemen, did not come from Palestine, Yemen Jewish land top ( southe arabian peninsula is the holy torah lalnd, it's not palastine) ..

Yemeni Jews were never Muslims . They were always Jews . They are not even Yemeni people . Their ethnicity is not Yemeni . Their ethnicity is something Jewish like mizrahi
They are the authentic Hebrew Israelites.
Jews have been in Yemen long before Islam even existed. They are 100% Yemeni semetic Jews
aalhbuhuh Iughkji This is genetically confirmed.
