Hey friends! Glad you are enjoying the video! Wanted to post an apology about calling chiggers, ticks and mites insects! As some of you here in the comments posted, they are in fact arachnids. I know better but, sometimes when I’m prattling on I make mistakes..usually I catch them afterwards but missed this one! Thanks for the heads up those that mentioned it! Will try to not screw up further entomology info in the future!
@@staceyroberts3468 Yeah, honestly -- at some point you just have to let it go and be an adult. We all make mistakes. Leave the poor guy if he has an occasional brain fart like 99.9% of us all do!
Kenan, have you thought about spraying the grounds with "Beneficial Nematodes"? You can get them at most garden shops; though, you would probably order them in large quantities, ahead of time. You soak them for a bit, then add water and spray the grounds with a garden hose/sprayer. There won't be a flea, tick, nor grub, for miles. All natural too! It lasts the year, but I've found that, after spraying Nematodes for a few seasons; with our California weather, I don't need to spray for several years. Great for your subscribers with backyards and dogs, too!
You inspire me to create my own reptile sanctuary some day. I already live in south florida and your videos are really helpful and could help others like me get inspired into the dream.
Found your channel just after my baby was born a few weeks ago and I love it. Thank you for your videos I now spend I sleepless nights bing watching your videos. Love your animals would love a tortoise one day, not sure we have them here in Australia though unfortunately.
Serkan Gulen I do believe you need to have a license for exotic animals in Australia. Tortoises are a lot of work and you will probably have a messed up lawn. But they’re good fun.
for tick removal, regular clear finger polish ( not fast drying) very little amount under belly and over their back only, once a ticks head is underneath the host skin, they breath through their skin, once their air is cut off they pull their head out to breath.I used this as a US Marine in the early 1980s.I removed 14 of one arm at one time.learned from older hunters and fisherman in NC.also can be used to kill chiggers (red Bugs).
Hy man! Love your videos!i am watching you from the very very beginning, I always learn a lot from you! I have turtles myself that i saved from the cold weather in the Netherlands they are doing great now! Keep going with making awesome videos!!
Is it possible more videos about aquatic turtles and their maintenance (heating, uvb, etc) ? I have a beautiful sternotherus odoratus 😁 I really like your work and your videos ! (Hello from belgium)
Man I fo not envy the work in that property though its beaitiful. To high maintence for me. I appreciate your vids and info ao much! But honestly lets be real I follow your channel for Slinks 🥰
Hey kenan I recently acquired a small common snapper that was neglected and has a soft shell believe it is mbd could you give me some pointers on how to help this guy?
When the tortoise has a bowl shape on the stomach it means its a male and when it is flat it is a female. The bowl shape helps the male to fit on top of the female when mating.
Cool video kenan I have a question about rhino iguanas if a pair breed that are from the same parents but different clutches would that be bad for the offspring because of inbreeding ?
If anyone has a problem keeping a lawn with tortoises I got a solution. I used a plastic wire mesh so my tortoises can’t eat down to the root. I don’t have to worry about the tortoises eating plastic because I had to use utility scissors to cut it. Never had any problems with it, keeps your lawn.
perhaps you could invite Coyote Peterson over to see your farm, it'll be interesting to see you and Coyote make a video together to talk about animals!

Hey Kenan can you talk about the "Blake's exotic animal ranch" sulcata tortoise. I know there are scaleless balls but those were bred for. Like was this some insane genetical anomaly, was this bred for, is it fake?
Viva La Vivarium it’s real, it could be a genetic deformity. However I know a lot of sketchy breeders in the internet who specifically try to breed reptiles with deformities.
I'm suprised the Oscar isnt eating those Africans yet... AND we don't want to give the viewers the wrong info- Ticks are Arachnids, related to spiders and scorpions 😁✌
graffic13 likely there are already some in the big pond, along with striped muds. In south Florida those guys are practically in every permanent body of water

I'm amazed by whenever I see an animal poop in a UA-cam video. Do you realize how many videos you can watch WITHOUT seeing this? Granted, I'm NOT watching animal videos to see them pooh (that's just WEIRD!!!), and I hated cleaning up pooh when I had a pet. Kenan must have a high tolerance for pooh and have some system of dealing with it on his property. How many reptiles does he have? 50-80, at least?!? The pooh issue is something that would disgust me... I'd be constantly washing my hands and might consider changing footwear or washing my feet down before going back into a house.

WHAT A GREAT LINE ! "Be careful when sticking your finger where it doesn't belong on a Tortoise!"
Always appreciated when sharing the Nitty Gritty goods & bad’s as a ranch owner
That finger stuck in a leg pit..... very funny story. Especially if someone would have walked up on ya 😆😆
I love the reference to Coyote Peterson at 9:00 👍, another awesome UA-camr

I love how the turtles get to run free 👏👏
Valentina Bunny Those are tortoises not turtles but yea turtles also get to bask sun themselves I love it how kenan is such a lovely UA-camr!

Great vid Kenan, thanks for the info. Hi Slinks, love that blue tongue. :)
Chalk in England is made of diatomatious earth aka ocean diatom algae with silica shells and ants won't build or cross chalk.
I can't get enough of those big torts munching on that cactus. It's like Tortoise Crack! They can't get enough!

Kenan, how tall are the round wooden barriers you make to keep the turtles in around the pond? Thanks.
how many gallons is that pond
great viedo kenan, would you do a video on how to check a female tortoise for eggs, thanks matt x
I need to upgrade my GoPro; I like your videos without the case and dunking underwater, then back to walking around with crisp audio
"Hi, I am Coyote Peterson and I'm about to be bitten by a snaping turtle"
Few minutes later
"Coyote are you ok?"
Ithilween Shadowsong hhhhhahhahahhaha
"Wile E. Coyote -- SUPER genius!"

Daniels Trains & Toys so can dwarf turtles

videos are awesome I love every one of them like to see you feed your pets slink ect
Who was u referring to who gets biten by animals
How do I purchase tortoises from you?
I've never been this early! Awesome! Aww, Slinky's my dude!

Would really like to see collin pulled out again. Maybe a snake video soon
I enjoy your videos but I do have question about the tortoise that have the weird stomach shells. Does the shell supposed to look like that.

If they can bite through pumpkin with ease they can bite through your skin even easier.
TICKS ARE ARACHNIDS! 😂
Hi Kenan, love the channel. Do you need a heat lamp for an outdoor turtle tub south of Tampa?
Ticks aren't insects. They are arachnids, which along with insects and a few others form the phylum Arthropoda
Forgot that! Thanks for clearing it up!
perhaps you could invite Coyote Peterson over to see your farm, it'll be interesting to see you and Coyote make a video together to talk about animals!

Fun fact ticks are arachnids

Love the vids man
Does any one know what kind of cactus species he is using in its scientific name
I think it is Opuntia figus-indica
Looks like the Oscar got a little drop eye/ pop eye.
how is the baby albino turtle doing?
