Hey friends! Glad you are enjoying the video! Wanted to post an apology about calling chiggers, ticks and mites insects! As some of you here in the comments posted, they are in fact arachnids. I know better but, sometimes when I’m prattling on I make mistakes..usually I catch them afterwards but missed this one! Thanks for the heads up those that mentioned it! Will try to not screw up further entomology info in the future!

Kenan, have you thought about spraying the grounds with "Beneficial Nematodes"? You can get them at most garden shops; though, you would probably order them in large quantities, ahead of time. You soak them for a bit, then add water and spray the grounds with a garden hose/sprayer. There won't be a flea, tick, nor grub, for miles. All natural too! It lasts the year, but I've found that, after spraying Nematodes for a few seasons; with our California weather, I don't need to spray for several years. Great for your subscribers with backyards and dogs, too!

for tick removal, regular clear finger polish ( not fast drying) very little amount under belly and over their back only, once a ticks head is underneath the host skin, they breath through their skin, once their air is cut off they pull their head out to breath.I used this as a US Marine in the early 1980s.I removed 14 of one arm at one time.learned from older hunters and fisherman in NC.also can be used to kill chiggers (red Bugs).

When the tortoise has a bowl shape on the stomach it means its a male and when it is flat it is a female. The bowl shape helps the male to fit on top of the female when mating.

If anyone has a problem keeping a lawn with tortoises I got a solution. I used a plastic wire mesh so my tortoises can’t eat down to the root. I don’t have to worry about the tortoises eating plastic because I had to use utility scissors to cut it. Never had any problems with it, keeps your lawn.

I'm amazed by whenever I see an animal poop in a UA-cam video.
Do you realize how many videos you can watch WITHOUT seeing this?
Granted, I'm NOT watching animal videos to see them pooh (that's just WEIRD!!!), and I hated cleaning up pooh when I had a pet.
Kenan must have a high tolerance for pooh and have some system of dealing with it on his property. How many reptiles does he have? 50-80, at least?!?
The pooh issue is something that would disgust me... I'd be constantly washing my hands and might consider changing footwear or washing my feet down before going back into a house.
