You can change programs whitout leaving perform mode whit an external footswitch (up to 3 switches), in global setup you need to asign "increment + load" and "dicrement + load" and you will able to do so... its possible to asign also the tuner to another. Another great video. Slowly getting to grips with the H90 by way of these brilliant instructions. The hotswitch/knob option sound worth a bit more investigation for using live. I've currently got it hooked up to a morningstar MC6 so the possibilities are endless. Thanks again

Bro a tuner? I’ve had this for 3 weeks and never knew.
Why do you have to hit 2 buttons to activate a program?
Why wouldn’t they make it so I could just select which side I want of the patch
I will use midi anyways but you think it would be easier to just hit one button to go into the patch

They don't. In Select mode footswitch 'P" turns it on and off. In Perform mode you can program it to do a variety of things, including on and off.
