Thanks for the video. Nice the flightdeck personnel gave you a running list of the sites they were flying near as you were coming in the HNL! I don't remember the flight crew ever doing that on any of the flights I've taken to Hawaii, in over 40 years of going there. FYI, runway 8R is the Reef Runway, you weren't on that one, that was 8L.
@22:55 Is this the area that caught fire, and the media said everything burned down except for the water front properties. It looks like it, does anyone know?
Capacity crunch. This is why the airlines are screaming at Boeing about their production delays regarding the 77X & 787. Hawaii is primarily cost conscious leisure travelers, who don’t bring nearly as much revenue as the business travelers heading to the European business centers.

Thanks, the purser was awesome for that flight.
Exciting video, mahalo :-). You landed on 8L, 8R is the reef runway. :-)
Thanks for watching and giving the correct info :)
Yes on my return flight it was on 8R on the reef runway!

When did this happen?
You are thinking of the Lahaina fires on Maui in 2003. Different island. You are seen the brown roofs of a housing development.

Beautiful video ❤
Thank you friend.
Beautiful video tho
I watch them off and on flight radar 24
Thanks 🙏
You can actually see clearly The San Andreas fault. Cool.
Oh wow, thanks for letting me know.
Can you please tell me the timestamp in the video where we can see it? Appreciate it.
Your thumbnail has a mistake, it's SFO to HNL, not the reversed direction
Ok thanks for letting me know, I will fix it now.
@@sanmateoflights Thank you
I wish they would use bigger jets like these on flights from the eastern half of the US to Honolulu.
Yeah, I'm surprised that they don't use them.

Actually you landed on 8L, not 8R. Lovely video though
Thank you 😊
Yea someone else has pointed that out 👍
