Not Jiro casually dropping the voice of an ANGEL! Fun fact: Jiro's singing voice actor, Crissy Costanza, sang for Jiro in the Japanese version as well, and in English. She's THAT good.
10:26 I always loved this moment because it’s proof that Kaminari and Bakugo hang out “off screen”. Nobody knew Bakugo took music lessons, judging by everyone’s shock, JUST Kaminari. And not a lot of people realize it, but it’s THIS moment that solidifies that there is a bunch of “off screen” time the characters spend together. There is indeed a collective universe around these characters, with facts that might never be said aloud and confirmed.
Just something to remember as it’s something that’s easily forgotten the school year in Japan starts from April. At the start of the school year Deku had OFA for approximately 2 months (based on how Japanese high school entrance exams usually happen in February) and could only use it at 0 or 100%, within approximately 1-2 months he learns Full Cowling and control at 5%. By September (which would be the start of term 2 and would be roughly when they did the licence exams) he goes from 5% to 8% then about a month later he can just about control 20%. Unlike the rest of his class who have had years to use and learn how their quirks work Deku has in the span of 8-9 months managed to gain control of 1/5 of the potential of an incredibly powerful quirk and is still only just over half way through his first year at high school. Given how many things have already happened in the series coupled with when term times start in comparison to western schools it’s easy to forget how quickly Deku has developed.
The joke with Mineta's character design is genuinely great and works so well. Mineta would work so much better as a character if all of his jokes were structured like this.

People make SO MUCH of Mineta’s perverted jokes, without realizing one important thing….he is 14yrs old and has probably not had any guidance. Like most of the characters in 1A, they need to grow not just as heroes, but as adults. Mineta’s final exam episode sheds light on why he acts the way that he does. Everyone dogs Mineta, but gives a pass for the guy that told a classmate to jump off the roof…and laughed. Weird.

Really, the other students are full of it. Sure, what happened to them is a little unfair, but it is *not* the fault of Class 1-A. Anyone ought to be able to tell that much, at least. As Bakugo says, they didn't *ask* to be attacked, they didn't *try* to be attacked, and they are *not* the source of anyone else's troubles. They are victims, too! To suggest otherwise is so stupid, self-centered, and short-sighted that it makes my blood boil! "Oh, we're all living in safely in dorms now, that is so terrible! It's the fault of the kids who got attacked, assaulted, maimed, nearly killed, kidnapped, and had to fight for their lives!" Seriously, isn't that nuts? I am one hundred percent with Bakugo on this. This isn't about reconciliation, it is a challenge which they must rise to, to show the other students what they're made of!

His head looks like the freaking letter E. His chin is gigantic and his pompadour is invigorating my fashion choices. If I work out my jaw enough I too will have a place to put my plate while I eat. And the victim blaming continues. Bakugo is always happy to hear that after his breakdown last season. Jiro reveals she has a LOT in common with Deku’s line of thinking. Less extreme and less nonstop. She’s been relatively quiet a lot of the show and this is the 1st time she lets her brain go. (She got 7th in midterms as a reminder. She’s a much bigger thinker than she lets on) And she gets to be a big decider in almost everything regarding the music and is looking around for musical talent among her classmates to spare workload. And Sero EFFORTLESSLY enlists Bakugo. No I won’t play. You’re right it’s too hard. THROWS EVERYTHING OUT OF THE WAY TO PROVE HIMSELF. He does have to make his point on victim blaming. He’s bar none the biggest victim of that. Not just to the school but the entire press has drilled him for the public to see, and his mom even agreed to their line of thinking. And he changes the reasoning. No it’s not for them. We do it for us. If we can’t be relaxed and prove our worth in the way we want nothing will change. You can use olive branches but you can’t cross the cliff to get them to take it. Funnily enough, one of the big reasons Deku and Bakugo continue to not get along. Deku accommodates but Bakugo isn’t taking any olive branches. And Deku has an olive JUNGLE on his cliff side. And I have to continue to praise MHA’s use of characters being almost entirely logical over trying to showcase the main characters constantly. Deku won’t sing, he won’t play music, and his power isn’t all that applicable in the special effects. (That timing is not in Deku’s favor) Momo played a piano since she was a kid. (There’s no way she doesn’t have a huge grand piano in her house.) Mineta’s voice AND character design prevent him from doing anything but shockingly people are doing what they can to help include him anyhow with Tokoyami…wanting to strum for Mineta specifically. (Well if there’s any doubts among the classmates at least they CAN communicate with Mineta and have don’t just ostracize him despite many believe they should do that. They just have lines in the sand around him. Like a seabear circle from SpongeBob. HYPER SPECIFIC lines in the sand.) And Jiro takes vocals. Kaminari is electric guitar. (How did I not see that coming.) And I have to say which of these is my FAVORITE character placements? THEY PUT IIDA ON THE DANCE TEAM. Don’t teach him! He HAS to be a professional already! I have no doubts! Deku FINALLY gets to have a talk with All-Might since…god has it seriously been since All-Might told him he was essentially destined to die? He’s been with Nighteye for maybe a week, 2 tops. And All-Might has FINALLY decided to show Deku one of the quintessential rules of OFA I’ve been using for a LOT longer than this reveal. Point of impact plus full cowling strategy is how All-Might has used OFA for decades. All-Might is in CONSTANT moderation of his power in different places but he keeps the majority evenly dispersed for his giant energy armor. AFO is the SOLE exception where all bets are off. Lethal force, maximum energy, throw EVERYTHING into your titanic explosions. And this is YET ANOTHER reason All-Might has kept his decline from his 60x prime so well hidden. And now Deku can make better use of this new strategy with 15% being a cause of wind pressure. Deku has been doing this a tad longer than he thinks from how he’s performed across the show. The earliest he did this I can find is there’s little hints in final exams and possibly during the stain arc. Using 5% full cowling and 15% point of impact. (And this is also why I called Deku’s slipshod egg in the microwave punch in the sports festival was specifically 15%. It’s the lowest I could place the power WITH wind pressure) He was scared out of his WITS everytime so him not noticing is quite likely. But the moment All-Might brings it up THIS is why Deku realizes so fast. Also side note, if you compare Deku’s kick at the forest to Deku’s finger snaps in season 2, he’s PRETTY CLOSE to that performance with only a grunt of effort instead of a completely fried finger with no bones and skin. Deku’s 20% energy level is VERY close to his 100% smashes in season 1 up til Muscular. Mach 1.2 is where he is today, and Mach 1.5 is where he was then with his arm busters. Deku has GAME. And end with Gentle Criminal declaring to be an alarm bell for all of society showing his prize! His best poured cup of tea yet! Keep it up you almost got it! One day you won’t burn your hand or make a mess at this rate! This episode is just a good time but MAN am I happy to see OFA rules I’ve wanted to apply for a while. It’s still getting more complex.
Forreal, Horikoshi must have nerves of TITANIUM to put up with My Hero's fandom. For all the eccentricities he puts in some of his writing and characters, he still has my respect. I've always liked and appreciated how Class 1-A treats Mineta when he's NOT being a creep. They could ostracize him, but they treat him as just another peer. And it kinda goes both ways, too. It's mainly season 4 onward, but Mineta's proven time and again that he CAN have normal conversations with his female classmates.
@@HaydrogenBomb I think the best way that people have figured out how to talk to Mineta while Mineta hasn’t quite figured out the other way around. That’s such a great way to show that they want to see him stop being a creep. If they didn’t include him that kinda forces him into staying a creep that can’t communicate. If you read books on talking to people that’s not going to do anything. So it’s up to other people to meet in the middle with him. And they seem to be getting a system in place for that.
bakugo has always been very emotioally and just generally intelligent, no one pays attention until after ep 23 though cause theyre too busy hating on him

I completely agree. sometimes we get into such a work-related mindset that when it comes time to do something just for fun. It feels like you are wasting time or could be doing something more productive. I've unfortunately had a lot of those days. I'm so wrapped up in work that it's all I think of, and when someone tells me to take a break I feel guilty doing so. And I just think about what I could be doing regarding working instead of enjoying the time off. My brain can't shut off work mode. I get guilted over it as well. I've had times where I took a short break to watch a video while eating and someone will come in the room to ask me what I'm doing. If I say I'm just taking a break or watching a video, I get a dirty look like they think I'm being lazy...When it is one of the only breaks I've taken all day.
The way Kenny teased Montana by making the homeschool joke about school festivals..when there was me, who was aware of Montana being in homeschool but not aware of the brief time period, you attended normal school, genuinely confused LMAO
A gentleman thief, gentleman burglar, lady thief, or phantom thief is a stock character in fiction. A gentleman or lady thief is characterised by impeccable manners, charm, courteousness, and the avoidance of physical force or intimidation to steal, and often has inherited wealth.
17:16 So Jiro's Singing voice was actually sung by Chrissy Constanza who did the vocals for the Original Japanese songs not by the dub VA Trina Nishimura.
I know this isn't MHA related, but I hope you guys can react to Fruits Basket at some point. I really feel like you both would enjoy it! It's a really well-done slice of life story.
I truly believe people who say "Bakugo doesn't change" really just didn't watch the show. He changed slowly over time. Y'know... Like a person. Instead of just changing in 5 minutes because of some protagonist speech.
@@AmetistJonesif I’m not mistaken the joke surrounding La Brava and Gentle is that they both don’t look their age which is why Gentle looks like an old man despite being in his twenties
@@AmetistJones Gentle is 32 years old and is literally JUST shy of 6 feet tall. La Brava is 21 years old and is 3 foot 7. In this show characters can range from extremely short to very tall, and that's before gigantification quirks like Mt Lady's. They also like to exaggerate shortness in various forms. Like how as you get old you get shorter, you can see Gran Torino currently is a really old man and is therefore very small, but in the past he was quite tall. Fun fact that I think is probably a fact, but La Brava's outfit is designed to display the size of her breasts, if you look at her chest you can see pretty clearly it's not flat at all. I assume this is because she's so short she'd get confused for a child, so she wears outfits like that to compensate. She has that same style with other outfits as well, not just her La Brava outfit.
I fine it hillarious that the other classes blame Class 1 A for the villians it not like they ask to be attack. They shouldn't be superised cosidering monoma from class 1 -B acts towards them. I do love that the heroes get time to chill and be students. Also. Characters interactions are always neat to see.
21:24 You really shouldn’t be surprised by this(and neither should Deku, really). He was literally doing this in his fight with Todoroki in the Sports Festival, when he was breaking his fingers to destroy Todoroki’s ice from a distance.
23:00 I have a slight gripe with this. In the manga, after All Might warns that Deku will have to go beyond his limits for a moment, he's done talking. He doesn't go on to lead Deku to use his fingers with a question. In fact, he doesn't speak for the rest of the chapter. Deku says the part about using the part of his body he has the most control over by himself and then decides on using his fingers on his own. He doesn't have to be walked all the way through each and every step by All Might. It kinda makes Deku look a little less smart that he needed All Might to basically tell him what to do instead of Deku figuring it out without being asked leading questions.
Funny thing is, most bakugos ARE very emotionally intelligent. It just so happens that they either don't care, or have something pissing them off, lion-with-a-splinter style.
I only kind of agree with the emotional intelligence of some characters because… it’s not 1A’s fault they keep getting attacked. These kids who don’t have control over their world… but yet they get the blame from their peers….. the only thing worse would be hero’s being blamed for trying
Loving ur reactions to this show I love Deku and the class so much so I hope u get a chance to react to the the second and third movies but especially two heroes it is so beautiful.

@@Kaempfdogi just noticed from the ED, with all the pictures, you see FatGum actually went to Shiketsu
@@tobofu5978 ooh! Nice catch!
@@tobofu5978He did? Huh.
I gotta say, I think I’m into Jiro now. That voice is GODDESS-like! Also, they should really make mini-guitars...
bakugo has always been very emotioally and just generally intelligent, no one pays attention until after ep 23 though cause theyre too busy hating on him
Nooooo. In a week, i watched every single video in this series and finally caught up. Yall might just be the first patreon i sign up for. Kenny is literally me... tearbending and all.
17:37 that's probably the most dramatic 4th wall break I've seen. 🤣
Gentleman Villian: “Extreme and violent actions do seem to fascinate the barbaric masses”
---
Marleyan Solider: “Peace can be such a wonderful thing but something about it is lacking”
“But you know what I’m talking about?”
“No, not really…” 😂😂😂
Yall are gonna tear up during the performance 👏👏👏

“This is a criminal” 😂
A gentleman thief, gentleman burglar, lady thief, or phantom thief is a stock character in fiction. A gentleman or lady thief is characterised by impeccable manners, charm, courteousness, and the avoidance of physical force or intimidation to steal, and often has inherited wealth.
Great video to watch, The Gentleman Pirate by Internet Historian.
For Jiro's singing parts, it's actually Chrissy Costanza from Against The Current
I truly believe people who say "Bakugo doesn't change" really just didn't watch the show. He changed slowly over time. Y'know... Like a person. Instead of just changing in 5 minutes because of some protagonist speech.
Just so you, know is Brava is 21. Despite her height and look.
Ain't no way.... Seriously? I thought she's around 16
@@AmetistJonesif I’m not mistaken the joke surrounding La Brava and Gentle is that they both don’t look their age which is why Gentle looks like an old man despite being in his twenties
@@AmetistJonesI think they're 22 and 28 respectively
*I can’t be the only one who actually squealed a little bit when Eri showed up at U.A. It was great seeing her there. 😅*
My brother was flabbergasted that Gental Criminal is a youtuber lol.
love the sassy comments they are making recently, makes me feel like they falling deeper in love.
23:56 i belive its a new move he just made "one for all air force"
Home school festival was a diabolical burn on her 😂
17:07 WAIT A MINUTE LISTEN TO THE BACKGROUND MUSIC AS EVERYONE REACTS! Pople who've watched the end of the Festival Arc should recognize that song
Never really picked up on all might saying "push past your normal limit" before..was half expecting asta to show up lol
I hope they don't have to mute the actual performance when we get there. One of the best monents of the show
Gentle reminds me a lot about Stain. Everything he's doing is actually for the greater good of things
That Gentle video about historic villains should have 2 foreshadowing counters on it because of Oji Harima
ur sweaters look so good w each other !!
22:09 nice recap of his journey to getting stronger
I fine it hillarious that the other classes blame Class 1 A for the villians it not like they ask to be attack. They shouldn't be superised cosidering monoma from class 1 -B acts towards them.
I do love that the heroes get time to chill and be students. Also. Characters interactions are always neat to see.
9:53 she’s like Deku muttering when it comes to music
3:24 why he didn't count the second foreshadowing?? He really forget or just didn't catch who's grandpa(?) that legendary thief is???
Has he seen that stuff yet?
@@chriskogaming I thought that he finished the show and will watch this last season with her
@@JampaS2 I'm not sure, but that's the only thing I can think of other than just simply forgetting
21:24 You really shouldn’t be surprised by this(and neither should Deku, really). He was literally doing this in his fight with Todoroki in the Sports Festival, when he was breaking his fingers to destroy Todoroki’s ice from a distance.
17:33 this im not suprised since hes quirk is electricty and hes holding an electric guitar. ironic isnt it.
17:51 okay this definitely blew my mind
"you know what i mean"
"not really"
gold
😁
Drums aka one more thing Bakugo is good at :0
I only kind of agree with the emotional intelligence of some characters because… it’s not 1A’s fault they keep getting attacked. These kids who don’t have control over their world… but yet they get the blame from their peers….. the only thing worse would be hero’s being blamed for trying
16:42 ........ holy cow jiro you sing that good???????
17:10 NICE
Just an FYI, but Gentle is 32 years old, and La Brava is 21.
After chainsaw man I think you guys should watch Go Go Loser Ranger it just got a dub and it's basically the boys but with power rangers
I think J Store is meant to be a joke about the JSTOR database 😭😭
11:23 right !!???!?!
Montana 1-A had a bird man
its never said but the short red head is an adult
3:31 Spoilers for season 6,
the third one..Not destro..the other one..Is that Compress??? Or atleast one of his family member?
just to say it La Brava is not a child. she is just short
We're lucky bakugo didn't blow up the drums
Loving ur reactions to this show I love Deku and the class so much so I hope u get a chance to react to the the second and third movies but especially two heroes it is so beautiful.
10:39 …. Woah

i like the aspect that you get to see more of the dayli life but it did feel a bit weird when it is punch punch punch and all of the sudden just an arc about a festival but now that i am rewatching it then i realised that we needed that after the mess that happened and the mess about to be
Talking about how Deku's arm looks like Eri's reminds me of a comic fan dub that's on UA-cam.
