Finally a demo on these gems! Bought mine which is also from late '92 (no fx loop) like yours and IMO they are much better than the current reissues due to the transformers back then (early 90s) were the same quality as the late 70s ones made in england still etc. I had a sv20h previously to my '92 SLP, it was unusable from being so bright and trebly.
Sounds really nice and crunchy, basically using the amp mostly clean, and adding whatever gain pedals. Even in the low input! Also, I think the earlier reissues sound better due to NO FX LOOP.
The wife of the great Pablo Casals asked him, why, at 94 he still gets up at 7am to practice for 2hrs every day, he replied, because I think Im getting better!
Both the 1959s (1988) and 1959x Reissues (1991-1993) are actually indistinguishable from the early 80`s JCM 1959 ones, both in components, layout and quality, only different cosmetics as explained in Doyle`s Book about Marshall.
Ich habe den 1987 als erste Reissue von 1991. ich liebe den Amp. Der Amptech meines Vertrauens, Dirk Baldringer, meinte letztens noch zu mir, Verkauf den bloß nicht. Werde ich auch nicht machen.
very NICE Sound ! A echt geiler Ton ! Helmut gratulation !
danke 🙏🏼

I have read that, this reissue is more like 71 year 100w Marshall and HW is like 69.
