Single Lowrance Unit?! Here's my setup to see fish better!

- My setup for a single Lowrance HDS Screen! I get asked all the time what my setup is and how I go about using my fish finders to catch more fish, so here it is! This is the exact setup I use when restricted to only one unit like in Major League Fishing! Hope this helps! Powers 01 I really like it, but bought a new bass boat that was equipped with Humminbird helix 9 mega si and it is a lot better in my opinion. Better resolution
Upgrading to an HDS12 Gen 3 (single unit) and this video was a huge help. Big thumbs up man.

Great video. It's little things like hitting the power button to find those other settings that made me anxious to want to go reprogram my Carbon unit today.

I have HDS 9 at console my 12 is up front cause standing on deck wanted bigger screen when I am driving, I am closer to it!
Does the HDS 9 seem big enough at the console or do you wish you had the 12? I am thinking about using this setup as well. Thanks
@@pgm1970 I love the 9 at console only reason I went with a 12 up front cause I am standing looking down and my eyes these days the bigger screen helps.

First of all I’m a big fan! Is it true that the HDS12 has 720P and the smaller units have 480P, which means the definition won’t be as good? Thanks for all you do!
I really enjoyed your video. I have a small unit, Lowrance Hook5, I assume it would work the same way. To get the one screen where I can see the fish, is that the structure page? I'll make sure to set my scan to "Down" view. Thanks for your help.

Could you do a ...Mark a fish ,mark a rock, mark a brush pile so we can see what they look like? And also help us understand exactly where (what we see on that screen) is actually in the water. If I'm standing over the transducer do I drop in and hit the fish in the head? I've owned cheaper units and I'm upgrading, I wanna know how to be effective.

I discovered that the Lowrance Hook5 is very different than the one you have. Can you provide any help with the Hook5? I need guidance with simple settings. Any help is greatly appreciated.

This vid was great info but my question is will this info work on my Lowrance elite TI 2 7inch screen? Have used 2d sonars for years an finally moved up with technology. A little nervous. Please help if you can.

on my HDS 9 gen 3 my time will not show the correct time its over an hour off. how do i fix that?

I don’t have the other option on my unit all I have is “this unit” is there a way to have the other option?
Does both units run off one transducer or do you need two. Most of you guys run four units. Does your boat have four transducers.
rangerbull I have two transducers I run! One for 2d and one for the structurescan 3D. I do have a back up structure scan transducer but that’s just for back up
