One of my favorite SNL skits, from this century, would have to be the puppet class sketches where Bill Hader plays a Vietnam vet named Tony, who creates an exact puppet replica of himself, so that he can use the puppet as an outlet to tell his ghastly war stories to the other puppet class members. I can't remember if Seth Mcfarlane is in all of them or not, but the original one, where he's the instructor, is probably my favorite. I wish it was included in the top 10.
Sorry, we try to tease by including shots of things that don't make the list or honorable mentions. The editor must have just wanted to pay respects to that skit and give it some face time!
The Adele 'Hello' Thanksgiving spoof gets me every time. I'm also fond of the Disney Princess reality show spoof. And the Kristin Stewart Tostino spoof is friggin hilarious!
"My name's Sabine. What's yours?" "I... I've never had one..." I had to scramble to find my inhaler that I hadn't used in two years because I couldn't breathe after that short.
The Grouch/Joker sketch is fantastic, but nothing beats "D*#@ in a Box!" Timberlake & Sanders are absolute perfection. That Emmy was earned and deserved!
@@MissB2483 especially because I’m from Louisiana and as exaggerated as it is, they’re pretty accurate especially the dialogue. Sad to say I understood everything they said 😂
My favorite SNL sketch was the Joe Pesci Show skit. The real Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro paid a visit to the SNL set to deliver a harsh beating to the fake duo. Now, that was hilarious.
Fun fact: At 11:22 Will Farrell kept playing footsies with Jimmy underwater during the scene, that's why he couldn't keep a straight face. You can see him trying to move his foot LMAO
The alien abduction skits are by far my favorite but I’m biased towards Kate McKinnon💜 The one with Ryan Gosling is even funnier bc he can’t hold back from laughing. I don’t blame him.
Chippendale Dancers--Swayze and Farley, Debbie Downer--trip to Disneyland, Job Interview--Chevy Chase and Richard Pryor, Schwetty Balls--Alec Baldwin, James Brown "In the Hot Tub"--Eddie Murphy
WWE Promotion Shoot w/The Rock it starts out lite but by the end everything goes off the rails when the Rock tells the junkyard mutt that he catfishes his ass...🤣🤣🤣
I loooove the more cowbell sketch, one of my favs too! I think it's the idea that no one thinks about that however strong the cowbell sound is and they centralize and emphasize in a sketch in a serious manner...such an intelligent comedic twist, it's SMARTLY funny!!!
I'm so ecstatic you're here to explain why snl sketches are funny for those who can't see the obvious. Thank you for breaking down everything for the one's that doesn't understand what humor is.
Wow, this list really screwed the pooch. I mean, you gave three slots to Lonely Island but left out Debbie Downer, The Barry Gibb Talk Show, and Stefon? Seriously.
These recent sketches are why I know when people say SNL sucks that they haven't watched recently. Of course there's going to be bad sketches. But they have so many funny ones too! Lots of classics in recent years.
The one where Matt Damon and Leslie Jones fight about Weezer. Also, where Leslie Jones (meghan markles cousin) takes lessons with Emma Thompson to meet with the royal family.
Good choices, but “Do It In My Twin Bed” should be in the top five. You could easily have four Adam Driver sketches. I actually prefer the sleepover and Science Room sketches, but the ones here are also great.
The Royals is my favourite SNL skit! Especially the one where the Queen and Prince Philip meet Catherine, Prince William's new fiance. I watched it over and over and break out laughing the same each time! 🤣
I love how in the close encounters sketch you see both Aidy Bryant and Ryan Gosling trying so hard and failing to keep it together as Kate McKinnon steals the show
Can’t believe any of Kristen’s recurring characters except for Kathy Lee showed up, even in the honorable mentions. Was really hoping to see some Target Lady, Sue, or Penelope. I love Kristen Wiig
HANDS DOWN, My favorite was the Delta Airline "Mark" sketch with Amy Schumer hosting that I can no longer find because of Copyright issues from using the "Spice Girls" song without permission... I would love to see this again! Flight Attendants - SNL with Will Farrell was also really good, but I miss "Mark"!
My favorite sketch of this Century so far has to be the "most evil invention" sketch where Dwayne The Rock Johnson invents a child molesting robot that he names Robochomo and then the sketch turns into a White Castle commercial. Also, "the girl ate the last fry" sketch is hella funny too
Only if they did an afterlife version. I can see a jeopardy heaven edition where Alex Trebek is hosting and then midway through some evil music with flames and smoke appears with Sean connery emerging from them. Burnt Reynolds played by Norm can make an appearance as well. This could really only be a 1 time gag and really probably should only appear if Will Ferrell hosts again.
I love The Californians sm partially for the reason for its very existence... bill hader said in an interview that the cast had a bit where they asked lorne micheals why he was late to a meeting. he would explain every road blah blah blah and they found it really funny so they created a sketch based on those long-winded explanations.
What's YOUR favorite "SNL" sketch of the century? Let us know in the comments!
celebrity jeopardy
Second comment
The Californians: Stuart’s Dad.
This needs a part two
More cowbell please!!
"What's up with that" should NOT work as well as it does. But, damn, Keenan makes it like new with every "ooooo wee!"
And Jason Sudeikis dancing in a red tracksuit
My favorite SNL sketches are the two employees who think they are getting fired and they begin to tell the other workers what they hate about them 🤣😂
That's my favorite too! Cecily and Bobby were too funny!
Oh my gosh I also love how many of them there are, and I love the way they say BITCH all the time! Iconic 🤣
@@caton_andrew "Cause you were put on this earth to be a *biiieeetttttchhhh* " LOLOL
Career Day is probably one of the greatest sketches of all time. Driver was so damn good in it.
Because he’s fucking amazing
I mean, there are like 5 career day sketches but I think everybody does know what you mean
I thought when he hosted it would be really lame too......I did a total 180 by the end of the episode
I was expecting that one to be top 6
That is one of the best, for sure. I love showing that to people who haven’t seen it.
MacFarlane is only in the first one.
The puppet class is amazing
I’m at Honorable mentions, so if number 1 isn’t Stefon and Seth’s wedding I demand a recount.
Which one?
I’m guessing van down by the river
Oh it’s of the century so far. Never mind 😂
Too much Saturday night live!
WHA no you have no reason to believe that it would happen
You teased us with “Debbie Downer” at the beginning of the video but left it out of the countdown entirely?
What’s up with that?!
Sorry, we try to tease by including shots of things that don't make the list or honorable mentions. The editor must have just wanted to pay respects to that skit and give it some face time!
@@WatchMojo PUT IT ON THE LIST. lol
Ooooohhhhh weee. what's up with that?
They always do that. I'm used to it now. lol
@@gamerkathan It's not clickbait because it's not begging you to click on something. You were already watching the video.
Don't know how "Debbie Downer at Disney" and "Dear Sister" didn't make the list
There is too many good SNL’s for one list my favourite is bank breakers I think it’s really underrated
Dear sister is goated
MMM WHATCHA SAY
What about Black Jeopardy with Chadwick Boseman? That was hilarious.
EXACTLY ! Amazing sketch
“In the face!”
EXACTLY they totally dropped the ball
One of my Top Faves!
I need Adam Driver on every season of SNL
Loved the midevil times so funny
@@aolson72178 to me that was one of the best skits ever. I can’t watch that skit without cracking up
It’s classic
You and Jon Oliver both lol
Yes!!
"I wanna be you when I grow up!"
"AND SO YOU SHALL!"
the Dave chappelle, recent sketch with aunt jamima and uncle ben, is probably one of the funniest sketches if seen in along time
YES! I cried laughing just from Maya’s “But I’m aunt Jemima!”
Did you see the one with the rock as Coco the wrestler?
Alex: “We can’t keep playing if you don’t let go of the pickle.”
Connery: “That’s what your mother said last night!”
Still makes me laugh.
Debbie Downer at Disney World with Lindsey lohan - Hysterical
The Adele 'Hello' Thanksgiving spoof gets me every time. I'm also fond of the Disney Princess reality show spoof. And the Kristin Stewart Tostino spoof is friggin hilarious!
"My name's Sabine. What's yours?"
"I... I've never had one..."

The Grouch/Joker sketch is fantastic, but nothing beats "D*#@ in a Box!" Timberlake & Sanders are absolute perfection. That Emmy was earned and deserved!
"(Do it on my) twin bed" and "Santa Baby" deserved at least honorable mentions.
OMG "close encounter" gets me every time.
Honestly, I love anytime Bill Hader did a dateline sketch
Every Time Kenan Sings “OoooWee! What’s Up with That?
What’s Up with That?” I always Laugh and Sing-a-Long!😂🤣❤️📺🎶
Hey Lindsey! 😂
Debbie Downer at Disney. Pure gold filled with laughter
Where is "On A Boat"? That was always my fav of the Lonely Island bits.
My favorite Lonely Island sketch: Jizz in My Pants
"I'm on a boat" is underrated
I played that nonstop when I got my first cruising sailboat
"Stu" sketch on December 5, 2020 should make the list now.
That was one of the greatest things I've seen in awhile. Only Pete Davidson.
AGreed
100000%
The negotiatior and murder show too
Bowen Yang was a special surprise
The John Mulaney SNL Musicals will forever be one of the best recurring sketches in Modern SNL History : )
Never understood his appeal one bit
I'm glad you picked cowbell for number one. That one has always been my favorite, ever since I first saw it 20 years ago. Will Ferrell is comedy gold.
I love the Stefon’s scenes, all his news appearances, he is hilarious
Jimmy said he was laughing so much in the Lovahs sketch is because Will was feeling up his leg under the water. 😂
adam driver needs to be a regular on SNL i swear all his sketches are GOLDDD
I literally could not stop laughing the first time I saw David Pumpkins and I still laugh at it years later. Definitely my favourite SNL sketch ever.
It's one of those sketches that is so bad it's hilarious. I absolutely love how dumb it is.
I don't watch SNL but that damn "Maine Justice" skit with Jamie Foxx had me in TEARS!!! 😂😂😭😭
I looked for this comment because I didn’t want to repeat it. Thanks for it that SNL skit had me in tears.
@@Blcastillo74 That 1 was hilarious!
@@MissB2483 especially because I’m from Louisiana and as exaggerated as it is, they’re pretty accurate especially the dialogue. Sad to say I understood everything they said 😂
"Santa Baby" with Vanessa Bayer and Ryan Gosling is definitely one of my all time favorites. Just amazing!!
"Black Jeopardy!" with T'Challa (the late great Chadwick Boseman). "Aw hell naw, Karen! Keep your bland-ass potato salad to yourself!"
My favorite is the Christmas wrap with Timberlake and Fallon!
Fallon is funny and lame both

Girldfriends Game Night w/ Bill Hader and also written by Cecily Strong. Top 20 easily.
YES!!! Omg 😂😂😂 I sent that to so many friends
Where's the Peyton Manning/United Way clip and has everyone forgot when Dwayne Johnson played Sasquatch and had a duet album with Neil Diamond?
Oh yeah that Peyton Manning skit is in my top 20 for this century for sure.
this is the first time I've ever seen the woman behind the voice. I was not ready for this.
Have you not been watching for the past year?
Not only does she have an iconic voice... She’s also one drop-dead gorgeous Canadian beauty! 😍 🇨🇦

The fact that after my family saw Melissa’s sketch of Spicer we started referring Sean as only Melissa and would forget his name because of it 😂😂
"You're a Rat Bastard Charlie Brown" skit still makes me laugh
😂. Marty Short’s Larry David is Hilarious!
“Bern your Enthusiasm” By a Mile
YOURE NOT NORMAL, BERNIE,
Based on the number of times he appears in it, this list only re-enforces the fact that Tom Hanks is a damn national treasure
Kyle Mooney deserved at least one spot on here with his 90s sitcom parodies
My favorite SNL sketch was the Joe Pesci Show skit. The real Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro paid a visit to the SNL set to deliver a harsh beating to the fake duo. Now, that was hilarious.

Omg,they need the “old prospector” one with Will Ferrell on here
haha AMAZING!
My favourite is hands down What Up With That!
And from the previous century, "Land Shark."
My favorite snl skit has to be Matt Foley from 1990's. Chris Farley was aboustley funny. I like celebrity jeopardy that's pretty funny too.
THIS century.
I hired a professional speaker he has been drinking coffee for 4 hours now. He is about to be ready let me call him in.
Anything with Chris Farley is the best.
Kristen Wig doing surprise lady 😂😂😂
Chippendale Dancers--Swayze and Farley, Debbie Downer--trip to Disneyland, Job Interview--Chevy Chase and Richard Pryor, Schwetty Balls--Alec Baldwin, James Brown "In the Hot Tub"--Eddie Murphy
All good ones, but most of these were not in the past 20 years, and that was the point of the list.
I really love the saxophone guy curse with John Hamm. 😂

Every time Alec Baldwin becomes Donald Trump 😂

The next twenty should include Stefan, and the Stu sketch from last night's episode!
I truly thought More Cow Bell was a mid 90’s skit. My decades are starting to all run together
For me the birthday and slumber partys when Melanie meets her friends's dads.. those are priceless. Also Gemma with Benedict Cumberbatch
Yes!!

Also Dawn Lazarus! Vanessa Bayer is tragically underrated
That Election Night Sketch hit different lmao
Debbie Downer at Disney World is my favorite and it's only briefly shown in the intro? It needs to be in the Top 10!

I know without the Diner Lobster there be no Airport Sushi, but I still the sushi sketch is superior.
Love your SNL lists Watchmojo.
More Cowbell and
Dick In a Box are my two tops.
Any time Larry David showed up as Bernie made me smile

Solid!
Hands down black jeopardy with Tom hanks lol red blue we are all the same. Closest Tyler Perry, bbw fans
If you didn’t know Cowbell would be #1, you don’t know your SNL.
