Fantastic job your eye for detail is amazing . I’ve only found your channel today and have watched all your videos at least twice so far I’m 70 years old and new to modelling where do you purchase your ground covering from like the Soil etc I can’t find it anywhere Hope you don’t mind me asking
Hi David. Thank you so much for supporting the channel and of course I don't mind you asking. I use a mixture of materials from WWS, Woodland Scenics, Gaugemaster, Javis, etc. The soil is a mix of brown tile grout (from B&Q) and Woodland Scenics earth fine turf (T42). If you would like the links to the products, please let me know.
@@DartsideScenics thank you so much for your quick response it very much appreciated I will be heading for my local model shop and B &Q tomorrow as I won’t to try and produce a walled garden for my station master house in 1/76 scale Would it be possible could you in future videos put in links to the various components you are using or might that be too much to ask on top of the brilliant dioramas you produce Thanks again David
Hi Andy, great video on the water 💦 pour and scenics, really enjoyed it and will be using some of your techniques on my Tunnel Top scenics. Congrats on 1000 subs you’ve done great to get there so quickly but you do have a very professional approach and obviously excellent content! Happy New Year cheers Gary
Another brilliant how to tutorial video Andy you make it look so easy mate and we all know that's its not. Hope you had a good Christmas. Happy New year to you and your family and happy modelling in 2022 atb Andy
Hi Andy, just found your channel ! Really impressive model work buddy, very well explained & executed. I was impressed with your hedges video too so it's a big thumbs up from me and a new sub. Keep up the good work - great channel ! All the best.....Andy
Hi Andy, a Happy New Year to you and your family mate! Another great video, what are your conclusions on WWS deep cast resin compared with Woodland Scenics that we have both used before?
Happy New Year Steve! I can’t find a lot of difference between the two at the moment. The price is similar and so are the results. I might discover more as I use it more so will let you know 👍🏻
Hi. Amazing video! I've been trying to learn and put some of the knowledge into making my own diorama. Must have not heard it right but what was used as ground texture? After mod podge.
Great video, how did you find doing the bit with the waterfall/ cascade? Does the resin stick to the face? A project I am working on currently is a river on a descending level with cascades so I am not sure how the resin will flow/ set
Thanks Dan. It’s probably best to create a small dam with rocks and glue to ensure it stays on each level. The cascades can be created using certain water effect products or clear pieces of plastic. I suppose it depends on the speed of the water but this one was just a slow moving stream.
Only issue I have with the WWS resin is it is sold by weight and there is nothing to tell you how that equates to volume. But I do not work out how much resin I need by weight for a diorama.
Hi Andy,
I've really enjoyed watching all of your videos. They are thoroughly useful and inspiring; lots of food for thought.
All the best,
Nick.
Thanks for this Nick, I’m really pleased you are enjoying them.
with every video I watch I am more impressed.. !
Thanks Sharon, that’s very kind.
Great job mate, you're style is pretty amazing, it was wonderful finding your channel a few days ago, I truly can't stop watching.
Thank you, that’s really nice to hear 👍🏻😁
Perhaps I ought to step out of my comfort zone and experiment find a diorama which includes a water scene.. Thank you for Showing Andy
Go for it! 👍🏻
Fantastic job with this simple layout. Looks like something I could do with little problem.
Thank you. Yes, it’s definitely a nice easy scene to create.

@@danbrewer awesome 👍🏻
Incredible as usual. How do you find the wws product compares to gloss mod podge?
Thanks. Very similar although I haven’t tried them side by side yet to compare thickness, etc. The results are pretty much the same.
Fabulous
Thanks 👍🏻
This looks amazing, excellent piece of modeling. Music needs to be lowered or turned off, it overpowers your speech.
Thanks Phil

The next time I use it, I’ll look at the calculations as I just guessed on this one.
