Dishwasher all the way! Modern dishwashers can actually save more water as they wash the entire load in parallel with optimum amount of water. If it doesn’t fill with two people’s worth of dishes, it’s great to wash items that don’t get love. eg mason jars, other containers for dry goods, baby toys, bathroom items etc
Okay, I’ve been thinking about you all afternoon and your remark about how you love stretching and wish you could get skinny from stretching. Sweetie, you CAN! (And, you already ARE skinny, but that’s a topic for another time. 💖) You are so mindful and thoughtful about everything else in your life, it was really strange to hear you talk about your workout and how you were exercising while watching videos (this isn’t a dig! I’m sorry if it sounds like one!). Exercise should feel as present and mindful and JOYFUL as everything else you do, and believe me when I tell you that your body KNOWS when you exercise out of obligation rather than joy. Biologically speaking, your weight is determined more by what you EAT than what you do. The SHAPE of your body is determined by the exercises you do most often (which is likely to be the ones you enjoy). So often we feel like we “have to” exercise a certain way, but what if you set a higher standard for yourself and only do what you love? Everybody deserves to be healthy AND happy. 💖💖💖

i really love the journaling thing, i used to when i was younger from age 10 to 18. but when i got to college i got so depressed i didn't want to write about anything sad, but hearing you explain it as a brain dump made so much sense to me and i'm going to be adding that in!!
I love the way you can make things as simple as taking a shower, taking care of our plants or even cleaning a suitcase actions so relaxing and that infuse positivity. I am SO glad I found you. As a recent grad, I was really miserable and felt powerless about where my life was going. For my home made cleaning spray, I actually mix 1/2 distilled water, with 1/2 vodka, essential oil and a tablespoon or 2 of castille soap (I like the almond scent) and a sprig of rosemary. The vodka acts as a disinfectant and doesn't affect the smell like using white vinegar would. As the rosemary breaks down it adds oils to the mix that can polish wood. It's worked wonders for me.

You actually inspired me to get up and start decluttering!!! This whole time I've been trying to start off my goals but I just can't. Hi Lavendaire! It's almost New Year, and I am stressed to finnish my school projects, be a good daughter who helps with cleaning. Every 6 months I declutter my room so I need to do that too.
Man, I love videos like this! Cleaning is definitely part of my reset as well! Putting the things I need to do down on paper seems to really help me de-stress (otherwise I forget, and than remember at a really inconvenient time, like before bed). Getting into the little bits that pile up here and there or making a new donate/sell box really feels good too, getting rid of excess. Organizing things that have been unorganized forever (most recent one was a chest of photos, got rid of sooo many and only kept ones I loved) also feels really good. Just walking around outside, feeling the sun. Simple things. Btw, I hand wash!

The day after a big trip is often when I do my clothing and bookshelf declutter, I pick out items I don't want anymore to give away, I fix items that have been patiently waiting for my attention (today was fixing some buttons and my chest of drawers!) and I also like to have a short tidy. Getting the little things in order before the mad rush of daily life catches up with me can be so refreshing!
I do both as some pots and pans and a cup don’t do Well in the dishwasher. Dishwasher is a blessing now that I live with my dad after so many years in a student apartment where dishwasher wasn’t a option. I meal prep a lot and those plastic boxes the meals end up in really can be a pain to get really clean when you don’t use a dishwasher. Thanks for this vids, relaxing & inspiring.
What a lovely video! We are a family of three. From day to day I hand wash my dishes and use my empty dishwasher as a drying rack. If I've had a big cooking session or let the dishes pile up over a weekend then I will load the dishwasher and run it. But I find it much easier to do small batches of dishes by hand. I hate dirty dish clutter!

thanks for this! 🤩 had additional ideas whenever I have a reset day. my idea of a reset day is a Saturday where in the morning I can read & just chill at the terrace. Workout & take a shower! and then nap after a quick meal for brunch. then wrapping it up with a good movie or continue reading. 😁

Another Great Video 😘 Thank you again 💕 I am a handwasher, and i can tell you that.washing dishes by hand can be tiring a bit but gives better results than the machine .In most of the cases, the washing machine affects how ( glass-cups ) look like ,they tend to seem foggy and that's annoying .
Love this! I'm also a hand-washer. My dishwasher is basically my dry dish rack... or storage. If you ever plan to use a dishwashwer, make sure you get the right soap. The first time I used it, I thought any dish-washing soap would work and the whole kitchen floor was full of bubbles coming out of the dishwasher...It was "fun"
The new style of these latest videos is wonderful! I love how you are revamping the channel I just cannot wait to see what’s next! About my reset routine I LOVE cleaning, changing sheets, do some laundry and definitely light some candle and just reconnect with myself back again!
Regarding the whole dishwashing segment, I do both. I load up the dishwasher with pots, cups, plates, utensils etc and then hand-wash pans, bowls and any other large dishes. I find that hand-washing the larger items is best because then you can get rid of those hard stains that don't move at all in the dishwasher.

I always give myself a rest day after a vacation or an important event, just shut off all my alarms and sleep until I naturally wake up... it really helps me reset bc my sleep patterns affect me the most I think. But I've never thought about having a "reset" day instead of only a rest day! This is a routine for you, but for me this is a new lifestyle concept! I really must try this!
Thanks for reminding me to get serious about journaling again. I don't know why I try to complicate it. I use the dishwasher when I have a lot of annoying or large dishes after a late night of cooking but depending on where I'm living, if utilities included includes water, I use it much more often guilt-free. Of course small loads and hand-wash only things I use the sink :)

I watched this video right after loading my dishwasher and turning it on so yes I do use the dishwasher 😆 I think it’s very convenient and the heat to dry the dishes kills the bacterias so that’s a plus!

I honestly couldnt live without a dishwasher anymore. It saves me so much time and it's so easy to use. If you are not sure how to do it, watch some videos (yeah, there are videos for practically everything) 😁 I handwash only a couple of things which are not dishwasher safe. And if I need to replace some kitchen stuff, i always try to find a diahwashersafe alternative. Definitely give it a go. You will safe a ton of time 😊
We load and run the dishwasher every other day. Soo thankful for it. We hand wash bully and wood items since those would warp in the dishwasher. Look up Melissa Maker! She teaches you everything from how to clean a large area to loading a dishwasher 👍👍 for me to reset I like to definitely get our home in order: laundry, vacuum, dusting, etc. And getting our food ready for the week. I use the dishwasher; I’m so slow doing stuff in the kitchen I’m sure I’d be in there all night washing up by hand 😊 It’s quite useful, I washed a little shelf unit in there and some flower vases, they all came out really clean!
I've found that food helps reset in the best way. for example, if i feel as if i have been eating poorly recently, i wont eat for a few hours (of course, please eat if you are hungry!) and when i do get hungry, usually at night, i have a reallu healthy meal
Handwashing dishes! Same reasons as you, also I feel they get cleaner and its sort of meditative to just focus on one task and clean after yourself after you've eaten.
You posted it right when I felt like being lazy the entire day, so I wrote a little to do list for the evening. Honestly.. my best way to reset is to nap. It's like I am waking up again :)
Love you Aileen! This video was very calming to watch! I always wash dishes by hand because it feels therapeutic. And, a clean empty sink makes me happy! It is along the lines of "a cluttered closet is a cluttered mind." I have to take note of the cleaning spray and change my cleaning/tidying habits! I love how you have a home for every thing and it gives me the KonMari vibes. I recently finished Marie Kondo's book and I am slowly (but surely) accomplishing the clothes section! This was a refreshing video to watch with an uplifting vibe! After feeling pretty crummy, watching you tidy up is such a fresh breath of air :) I love how the reset process is a catalyst to set the tone for a positive mindset. I think I want to try morning pages and meditation first thing to set clear intentions for the day. When do you typically try to set aside time for exercising? For me, I do it during the early mornings to feel energized for the day because I'd be too lazy to work out later :P To answer your question, I only handwash my dishes...the dishwasher is used as storage for the dishes and utensils! It's pretty embarrassing that I don't know how to work that machine. At least, I know there's clean plates to be used from there :D Time for me to reset and tidy up! Awesome video!
Because I like to journal and meditate in the morning, I find that adding working out makes my morning routine too long - and I don’t get to work as early as I’d like. So I usually workout in the afternoon, but like you said, sometimes I can get tired or lazy and skip the workout!

I use melamine foam to clean up the kitchen and it's something that I can honestly recommend for everyone to try at least once. There's no need to buy harsh chemical cleaners for stubborn stains or oven, just use the melamine sponge and water.
Nice video. To answer the dishwasher question. I have one for one Person, but I collect for a week, before it runs. Only take care to remove crumbs and stuff that might get stinky over a week.

Maybe your dishwasher is different from mine but I just put the dirty dishes in, soap goes in the little scoop area with the snap down lid (needs to be dish*washer* soap so it doesn't bubble too much), then you close that lid, close the door, and should press a button for a normal cycle and maybe a start button. It's pretty simple, trial and error can teach you the intricacies of placing the dishes. I have a mini one in my apartment and I use it all the time, makes me much more likely to keep tidy.
the one thing that never fails to make me feel completely refreshed is when I take the time to wash my sheets and blankets and make my bed...no better feeling in the world 😌

I hand wash if it’s just a few things (I do dishes every day) but if there’s a lot of plates and cups, I just do a quick rinse and pop them in the dishwasher on quick cycle.
I feel motivated watching this lol that's an accomplished day in my book 📚 high five lol 👋🏼 washing my sheets in hot water with some Lavender essentials oil in the wash AND dryer help me 'feel' reset. For some reason jumping into fresh sheets helps me reflect on what I've accomplished!
Great video, some things I already do, but I've defenitely gotten some new tips that I'll try! Just a little tip for the plants: plants that do not live in rainforests do (almost) not get hydrated trough their leaves, so it's a better idea to pour some water into the sand so their roots (I'm not sure if that's the right English word for it hehe) can drink.
Love all your videos! So, to answer your question about dishwashing...I have three teenagers and the amount of dishes we create for three meals a day is staggering. We use the machine all the way! But we do hand wash knives and pots/pans. I am thankful my kids help out, or it would be my full time job!

Regarding the whole dishwashing segment, I do both. I load up the dishwasher with pots, cups, plates, utensils etc and then hand-wash pans, bowls and any other large dishes. I find that hand-washing the larger items is best because then you can get rid of those hard stains that don't move at all in the dishwasher.

I always give myself a rest day after a vacation or an important event, just shut off all my alarms and sleep until I naturally wake up... it really helps me reset bc my sleep patterns affect me the most I think. But I've never thought about having a "reset" day instead of only a rest day! This is a routine for you, but for me this is a new lifestyle concept! I really must try this!
I don’t get to do it every time but when I have time to reset, it makes a huge difference!

I use the dishwasher when I have a lot of annoying or large dishes after a late night of cooking but depending on where I'm living, if utilities included includes water, I use it much more often guilt-free. Of course small loads and hand-wash only things I use the sink :)

I watched this video right after loading my dishwasher and turning it on so yes I do use the dishwasher 😆 I think it’s very convenient and the heat to dry the dishes kills the bacterias so that’s a plus!

I honestly couldnt live without a dishwasher anymore. It saves me so much time and it's so easy to use. If you are not sure how to do it, watch some videos (yeah, there are videos for practically everything) 😁 I handwash only a couple of things which are not dishwasher safe. And if I need to replace some kitchen stuff, i always try to find a diahwashersafe alternative. Definitely give it a go. You will safe a ton of time 😊

We load and run the dishwasher every other day. Soo thankful for it. We hand wash bully and wood items since those would warp in the dishwasher. Look up Melissa Maker! She teaches you everything from how to clean a large area to loading a dishwasher 👍👍 for me to reset I like to definitely get our home in order: laundry, vacuum, dusting, etc. And getting our food ready for the week. It’s quite useful, I washed a little shelf unit in there and some flower vases, they all came out really clean!

I've found that food helps reset in the best way. for example, if i feel as if i have been eating poorly recently, i wont eat for a few hours (of course, please eat if you are hungry!) and when i do get hungry, usually at night, i have a reallu healthy meal

Handwashing dishes! Same reasons as you, also I feel they get cleaner and its sort of meditative to just focus on one task and clean after yourself after you've eaten.
You posted it right when I felt like being lazy the entire day, so I wrote a little to do list for the evening. Honestly.. my best way to reset is to nap. It's like I am waking up again :)

This video was very calming to watch! I always wash dishes by hand because it feels therapeutic. And, a clean empty sink makes me happy! It is along the lines of "a cluttered closet is a cluttered mind."

Fun fact: When I want to say "lavender", I think of "lavendaire". Then I have to pause for a second and register in my mind to say "lavender". For some reason, I thought you would say 8 drops of lavendaire instead of lavender. But that's just my pure imagination. haha

This was a refreshing video to watch with an uplifting vibe! After feeling pretty crummy, watching you tidy up is such a fresh breath of air :) I love how the reset process is a catalyst to set the tone for a positive mindset. I think I want to try morning pages and meditation first thing to set clear intentions for the day. When do you typically try to set aside time for exercising? For me, I do it during the early mornings to feel energized for the day because I'd be too lazy to work out later :P To answer your question, I only handwash my dishes...the dishwasher is used as storage for the dishes and utensils! It's pretty embarrassing that I don't know how to work that machine. At least, I know there's clean plates to be used from there :D Time for me to reset and tidy up! Awesome video!
Because I like to journal and meditate in the morning, I find that adding working out makes my morning routine too long - and I don’t get to work as early as I’d like. So I usually workout in the afternoon, but like you said, sometimes I can get tired or lazy and skip the workout!

It's my reset day today and I saved this video for some motivation and inspiration before I start. It was very nice and now I'm feeling ready to start!
I use melamine foam to clean up the kitchen and it's something that I can honestly recommend for everyone to try at least once. There's no need to buy harsh chemical cleaners for stubborn stains or oven, just use the melamine sponge and water.
Nice video. To answer the dishwasher question. I have one for one Person, but I collect for a week, before it runs. Only take care to remove crumbs and stuff that might get stinky over a week.

Maybe your dishwasher is different from mine but I just put the dirty dishes in, soap goes in the little scoop area with the snap down lid (needs to be dish*washer* soap so it doesn't bubble too much), then you close that lid, close the door, and should press a button for a normal cycle and maybe a start button. It's pretty simple, trial and error can teach you the intricacies of placing the dishes. I have a mini one in my apartment and I use it all the time, makes me much more likely to keep tidy.
the one thing that never fails to make me feel completely refreshed is when I take the time to wash my sheets and blankets and make my bed...no better feeling in the world 😌

I hand wash if it’s just a few things (I do dishes every day) but if there’s a lot of plates and cups, I just do a quick rinse and pop them in the dishwasher on quick cycle.

I feel motivated watching this lol that's an accomplished day in my book 📚 high five lol 👋🏼 washing my sheets in hot water with some Lavender essentials oil in the wash AND dryer help me 'feel' reset. For some reason jumping into fresh sheets helps me reflect on what I've accomplished!

Just a little tip for the plants: plants that do not live in rainforests do (almost) not get hydrated trough their leaves, so it's a better idea to pour some water into the sand so their roots (I'm not sure if that's the right English word for it hehe) can drink.

Love all your videos! So, to answer your question about dishwashing...I have three teenagers and the amount of dishes we create for three meals a day is staggering. We use the machine all the way! But we do hand wash knives and pots/pans. I am thankful my kids help out, or it would be my full time job!
