    This was such an insightful video ♥️ I honestly expected you to talk about typical acne treatments (such as salicylic acid, azelaic acid, retinol etc..) that we normally see in videos. I'm happy I got to learn something new and it's refreshing to see a youtuber talk about traditional skincare and ingredients that are less known outside Korea/Asia. Thank you for all the insights and as always, amazingly researched and edited video!

      Thank you, super happy to hear it 😍 My skin is not a major fan of classic chemical exfoliants (except for PHA or BHA in very small quantities maybe) so I wanted to let more people know there are other options out there 🙏

      😭😭😭😭 Thank you so much, it's a relief to hear you can tell the work that goes behind each video. I feel so sory that I'm not the kind of the creator that publishes 3 videos every week, but given that I work on these outside my usual working hours and that I do all the research / translation / animation / illustration work by myself, the least I can do is to make sure to give you high quality productions.
      Thank you for your support, it's very much appreciated 🙏

    A claim you made in the video was that the heart leaf ingredient could make bumps on the skin come to the surface. Have you experienced that? And if so, did you just leave the ‘poppable’ bumps alone, and when they disappeared, did any return?
    I’m currently using a form of tretinoin, and it’s helped tremendously. I’ve realized though, that many of my bumps stem from using a way too heavy moisturizer, so I’m looking for a light one - maybe even just an emulsion, as I’ve read they’re good for acne-prone and oily/combination skin. Do you have any recommendations?
    And if you think the heart leaf products “cure” bumps on the skin and helps breakouts and exfoliation on the skin, then I’d very possibly purchase the serum. The last question would then be, since this product exfoliates, how often should it be used? Is it an everyday thing, or is it like every other day/every two days - for targeted areas or just the whole face as well?
    Lots of questions, you just seem _wise_ with the amount of knowledge you have, and your speaking pattern. It’s very soft, very comfortable to listen to in an informative video. Subscribed, and am waiting excitedly for future uploads :>

    Thank you! I have bought these three products because of this video, I just have a few question, in which order did you use them? I’m not quite sure what would work best, after cleansing the face, the Houttuynia Cordata, the clear soothing active essence or the clear soothing cream? Would you recommend waiting a few minutes after applying each product before applying the next? Also, did you use them every morning and at night? Sorry for the very late replying, I have only just received everything and I really hope you see this and reply. Truly, thank you for this amazing video, one of my favourite people on UA-cam to help with skin care, I am really grateful and can’t wait to use these products!!

    • @OdileMonodTheMonodist
      @OdileMonodTheMonodist  3 роки тому +4

      No problem at all! I used the products morning and night in this order:
      Cleasing > Essence > Serum > Cream
      I usually wait leave each product absorb for around a minute before applying the next one! Hope that helps and thank you for your support! 😍

      @@Rom10sta2 hey, so I’ll be very honest for me they didn’t make much of a difference together like it did for Odile, which just shows how everyone’s skin is completely different and what works for someone, doesn’t work for everyone, however my skin is definitely a lot worse than Odile’s in this video so that could also be it. But, I will say that the Houttuynia Cordata serum does seem to be great at getting rid of acne a lot quicker than most products, it lasts so long too! I am still using that one but like I said everyones skin is different and for me skin care is all about finding out what might work best for you so don’t be put off by my experience, if you are able to, then try it out for yourself, it could very well work for you. I hope this helped!!

    Ciao Odile! Questo prodotto che consigli, va bene se vengono utilizzati nella stessa skincare altri elementi tipo retinoidi, vitamina c, peptidi i Bha/aha? Insomma ha controindicazioni se usati insieme ad altri prodotti più "pesanti"?

    • @OdileMonodTheMonodist
      @OdileMonodTheMonodist  3 роки тому +1

      Ciao Gaia, purtroppo contiene anche estratto di salice (banalmente, l'ingrediente naturale da cui viene l'acido salicilico), quindi personalmente non lo utilizzerei insieme a retinoidi, esfolianti chimici in alte concentrazioni, e vitamina c.

    Hi Odile!
    I was watching one of your videos about res ginseng. I want to try the Donginbi 1899 essence but was wondering if you’ve found it anywhere cheaper besides yesstyle?
    Also, I checked iHerb and found some of their moisturizers (white bottles) have you had any experience with them?
    Thank you! 🤗

    • @OdileMonodTheMonodist
      @OdileMonodTheMonodist  3 роки тому +3

      Hi! When I was living in Europe, I used to order my Donginbi products straight from Korea because it's way more affordable and at least you know they're authentic. To order things from Korea, you should use a shipping service, I used Koreanbuddy but you can find many other options out there!
      It works like this: you find the product on a Korean website, you send the link to the shipping service you're using and they will purchase the product from Korea and ship it to you (you can request an estimate before you place an order so you'll know exactly how much you'll pay).
      In your case, just look up '동인비 1899 싱글 에센스' on Naver and you can find many options, I see the travel size is available for 20 USD and the standard size is available for around 40-50 USD. Hope that helps!

    • @_Hello_4444
      @_Hello_4444 3 роки тому

      Thank you so much! 😊 I appreciate it. I recently bought the Donginbi moisture & balancing emulsion. Do you know the percentage of red ginseng is in this?
      I was worried it wouldn’t be concentrated enough like the essence.
      Thank you!!!

    • @OdileMonodTheMonodist
      @OdileMonodTheMonodist  3 роки тому +4

      They don't share the exact Ginseng quantity unfortunately but the Moisture and Balancing line is considered their entry-level range because the main ingredient is Red Ginseng Water (=more diluted), with the addition of some Red Ginseng Extract, but again, they don't reveal the exact amount.
      Still, I used that line for ages and it was one of absolute favourites in my 20s. Donginbi is one of the few ~luxury~ brands whose entry-level lines I didn't find a complete disappointment to be honest, you can definitely tell the amount of work that goes into their formulations (and ingredients of course 😁).
      Depending your skin, the Moisture and Balancing line could be enough for you, but for more mature skin, I personally recommend going for their more concentrated products (the 1899 oil for example, or the Power Repair line)
