Hey Mark! Wonderful brush handles that gentleman is producing! Unique color combinations! That is very generous of him for the giveaway! I hope his business takes off well! Another great 3MB! Thanks, Jim from Northfield
Hi Mark- Great MMMB; thank you! Wonderful segments throughout, as always! Chris Bojrab’s brushes look fantastic; hopefully he will let you know when he starts to sell them so that you can let us know, please. Have a great start to the week and best regards, as always, Mark!
Happy Monday morning Mark. My week can now start after watching your 3MB. Chris’ brush handles look very nice. I also use powder after I shave as it helps dry off extra moisture. Although most folks refer to the powder as “talc”, the larger and more socially responsible no longer use actual talc, which is a natural occurring mineral. The Johnson & Johnson event regarding talc. Natural talc will often, but not always, contain asbestos. In addition, the IARC, an international cancer agency also lists talc itself as a probable carcinogen. Companies have stopped using talc and started using ingredients such as corn starch. As was mentioned by one of the viewers, you should not breathe in the fine particulates that easily become airborne regardless of the ingredients.
Great 3MB, Mark. Thanks for the mention! Sent you an email with my mailing address. Please enter me in the contest for the CB brush handle! He does amazing work already. Well done, Chris!!!
I love snaps on clothing. Buttons can fail, but snaps hang in there! Yup, Totally agree about sleeping in cool temps. I often open the window in the bedroom when it’s bitter cold outside. It gets the temp down quickly to low 60’s. Once it gets down there, I close the window down to a thin crack. I sleep under a ton of blankets, and love the weight. Some studies have shown that sleeping under weighted blankets adds to a good sleep. I don’t know if that’s the case for all. But I know it’s how I like to sleep. That Timeless bowl is an unsung hero. It is my travel bowl for years- Big bowl, builds a ton of lather, and is indestructible. 🙂
Great show mark and great info as usual. Glad you like the coffee. If you ever get tired of shaving reviews, I'll bet you could do a coffee review channel. Thanks for talking about my Home for Christmas review. I wish I could give more detailed reviews, but I can't pick out a lot of different scents like other reviewers do. I just know what I like. Have a great week. 👍🎅🎄
Wow that aluminum Timeless razor is a great deal. I picked up an Oliworks stainless razor with red cerakote and used it last week. It was on sale for under $100. Great smooth razor. It is funny another viewer was wondering about the video for your old Gillette. I was going to ask the same question. Great show.
Hey Mark! Viewer Weezer brought up several interesting points/questions and I thought I'd chime in on one. Around 2017 or so I bought a large scuttle (that I still use every day) that holds a lot of water. In the wintertime, I really get that thing hot! It feels so good. But I noticed that some soaps were breaking down on me at that high temperature and some were not. After lots of testing and some feedback from fellow wet shavers, I concluded that it was my animal fat soaps that seemed to become "foamy" at hot temperatures, but not my non-tallow soaps. I think the animal fat just reacts differently after a certain temperature. Now, this was my conclusion, but I'm no scientist. I did contact my favorite tallow soap maker and asked if he ever noticed his soap breaking down when heated up too much and he said "I really don't know. We don't test our soaps hot and I only cold shave." So, nothing conclusive, but it might be worth looking into. Cheers! -Scott
Melbourne. G'day Mark. Another great 3MB. Tues arvo here (still Mon night for you). My old skin is patch sensitive on the front sides of the chin (less so out to the sides of the chin) & underneath along the jaw line. So with that in mind I was interested in your first up shave tip that I'll try tomorrow morning. If it works for me I'll let you know. That brush handle from Chris Bojrab looked amazing. Snow? Never see it here in South East Melbourne. Enjoying the advent calendar reviews. Have a great week Mark. Take care, best wishes.
I use a high carbon steel straight razor regularly. (You get a better edge on high carbon steel) But they can be prone to rust, I always use natural mineral oil to give it a wipe over after every use. Mineral oil doesn't get sticky or gunk up over time. I just simply run my blade under hot tap water before I strop it before my next use. I've had razors sit for 6 months with mineral oil, and once I rinse it, you'd think it's a brand new blade. I have 18 high carbon steel razors on rotation and my 500ml bottle that cost me £4.00 still have 3/4 left in it from 2 years ago. Also another factor I'd like to point out is, if my razor bites me I'd rather have something natural under my skin as opposed to a chemical that's designed to keep condensation off of missile components lol. Food for thaught.
Some spice containers will or will not work, depending on the formations at their top and the sizes of the cylinder and brush to be stored or packed in them. I used the idea which the youtuber sgrdddy_shaves showed in a couple of his videos. Mine is shown in a recently uploaded video on my channel.
I wanted to share this, but it needs to be updated from the perspective of shavers who krinkle their forehead. Some open their mouths though. ua-cam.com/users/shortsGxBh2nVSIFI?si=5hTT3x7nKv6XFWbI

Great show Mark. What a beautiful brush handle that is. I don’t think I have a 28 mm brush, so that would be a great addition.

On wicked edge, a sub-Reddit, I often read about people new to wet-shaving, and I encourage them to watch your videos.
Extra years to watch 3MB ! Bring Me Coffee 😀

OK Mark, I'd enjoy having having that shave brush handle. Please add my name to the drawing.
I look forward to translations of your show into the Australian language lol.
Great 3mb Mark.
Speaking of the brush handles,
What's (in your opinion) The best brand of knot only to buy?
I don’t know wat I want more indiana jones mug or the brush handle😂
Pentel Tradio - FOUNTAIN PENS - nice to know.
I think the handles look great. I just dropped mine in the bathroom. Something that happens to every wetshaver once....😢

I use my empty pill bottles for a blade bank
Mark let me check my collection, I think I have a Gillette stropper for those vintage blades. It should help with the shave. I’ll email you
Nice brush handle

Really impressive Mark, not only can you now speak multiple languages, you can do it in a female voice as well. 😀🪒
