The holidays are hectic, but I always find time to slow down, have a nice cup of coffee and watch a Monday Morning Mailbag. Thanks for the hard work Mark! I know creating this content is NOT easy and your fans really appreciate it. Cheers! -Scott
Hey Mark! Another great MMMB. Re repurposing pill containers for traveling with brushes: I've been doing that for a few years; works great. Smaller ones make great storage for shave sticks as well. And I use a vitamin bottle with a screw-top lid as my blade bank (no little ones around to get into it, but might not be the best option if you do have little ones that poke around).
Great 3mb Mark .Always entertaining Love your winter shirt, I need to go to my Cosco hear in the UK hopefully they have some They look great, also the trousers. Take care Mark.
Great 3MB Mark. Glad you liked the coffee. Lots of great info as usual. Love your shirt. I have a similar one from LL Bean. Having a windchill of -15 on Thursday. Keep warm and have a great week. 👍
3MB Coffee and some cinnamon rolls I’m off and running 😂😂 Great video as always Mark and be careful when shoveling the snow when a person isn’t used to that type of work it can put a strain on the ole thumping gizzard!!! Have a great day and rest of the week 👍✌️
Hey Mark! In regards to that Copper Moon coffee, I have purchased small bags of the ground at Burlington, Marshall's, and TJ Maxx. They were around $5-6. I agree, it is really good coffee! Thanks as always for another great 3MMB! Jim from Northfield
Great MMMB! I collect and use fountain pens on a daily basis. My fingers look like yours more often than not. (Some fill and clean better than others). So far I haven't washed any. You got lucky! Don't over do it with the snow. Have a great week.
Ken, I used to use dip pens, but stopped due to having to wait for ink to dry. The pen I use has ink in disposable cartridges tay dry quickly so I can scan immediately.
Hey, great 3MB. •As far as carbon blades, Google says there’s over 2000 uses for WD-40. Looks like we can add another one. •Noticing your like for snaps on that Costco shirt, Cowboy shirts are a great option 🤠 •No snow in So.Missouri yet but we have had some below freezing temperatures. Stay warm, Al
Hi Mark, regarding the travel case for the generously sized brushes I forgot to send you the photo of the cap from above and to mention that it is natural and fundamental that I made a hole on it for ventilation. Greetings from Rome Marco Batelli
Also! To viewer Roderick, THANK YOU for following up on my original segment about talc! When Mark did the talc segment and showed the pictures I sent him of my D.R. Harris, Taylor and Trumper talcs, I don't think I got a single comment. I figured I was flying solo with my love of talc! It seems to be a lost part of people's wet shaving routines. If you think about it, the younger companies like Phoenix, Stirling and Fine don't even sell talc. It's all the old school companies like the ones I mentioned. Thanks again Roderick! Your info is spot on. Here's my post shave routine, just for clarity... • Alcohol splash to disinfect • Balm to soothe • Talc to dry And Bob's your Uncle, as they say! Cheers! -Scott
About the Treet Carbon Blade and drying it to prevent rusing: Does cleaning and drying a blade after done with each shave not seem properly sensible to do? I have never seen any rust on any of my blades. I clean and dry the razor when done with a shave and do the same with the blade. ALWAYS.
About the Treet Carbon Blade and drying it to prevent rusing (more): The use of mineral oil, or 3-in-1 oil, never have I tried this on any double edge blade. Now I am curious to find if this does anything, and maybe I may one day get a couple of carbon blades to try and find out. I have occasionally used mineral oil on the blades of disposable razors, but this is probably not necessary. I guess I feel like the oil protects the underside of the disposable head or razor since the underside is not reachable for razor-head post-shave care.
Wow, you did get hit with snow! I seriously hate snow and ice. Good job on dodging ‘The Well Washed Pen Disaster!’ I love shirt jackets for quick layers, or zippered hoodies. I like to keep the house on the cooler side year around and these garments give just the right amount of snugness! WD-40 (WD = Water Displacement) would get the water off a carbon blade. But I honestly don't think if the 2nd shave is the next day, you have much to worry about rust wise. Just blow off the water so it looks dry, put it on a magnet to store until the next day. Truth be told, they are so cheap, it's one and done for me as well. Heck, I'll only use a Chrome Platinum twice. I totally agree, the barbershop scent is a result of the finishing powder barbers dusted us off with. I’ll take my chances with good powder applied judiciously. As Robert does, I apply in the shower after I dry off. A lite dusting (from a powder puff), chest down. I figure after chasing those mosquito fogging trucks on my bike all summer for many summers, I can handle some powder! 🤣 Have a great week fellow MMMBers!
Not really a pill or supplements bottle for adaptation for traveling with shaving brush; but I formed something to contain the brush for travel using combination of a spice bottle and toilet paper roll tube........... I'll have to arrange to show this ,... later.
Hi Mark, Great 3MB as usual. Remember the pen is mightier than the shovel! Stay warm!

Al, never knew cowboy-type shirt had snaps.:) I like them!
I had a fresh cut fade shave this morning 😂

Jimi, I keep the thermostat down, as well. Every once in a while, I'll turn it up, but as long as I've got the layers, I'm good.:)
Worst time I forgot pens in my laundry was with my army uniforms. 😮talk about a panic attack
Yikes!
Hi Mark l use empty spice jars for storing or traveling with shave brushes. WD-40 is a good rust preventer on carbon blades
I adapted such a jar based on something sgrdddy_shaves (his channel name) showed in a couple of his videos.
Thanks!
Not really a pill or supplements bottle for adaptation for traveling with shaving brush; but I formed something to contain the brush for travel using combination of a spice bottle and toilet paper roll tube........... I'll have to arrange to show this ,... later.
Mark, I'm so glad your sketch pen didn't open. Up in the washer. Your wife would not be very happy about that. 😮
