“We were less than animals”, “People don’t do animals like that” When you speak of debt keeping them in bondage reminds me of the credit card system today that’s why I never used them. Thank you! for sharing. 🥺
You are a Blessing Ms. Perkins. As the White majority try to erase our Black History, our stories, our ancestors, our pain, the evils of slavery, you are making a record that can reach all of us. Thank you.
Mahalo, mahalo, mahalo (thank you, thank you, thank you) for sharing another history of your travel to these plantation. I greatly enjoyed listening and have already researching more information on what these people had suffered and endured. God Bless to you and your 'ohana (family), more importantly bless the soul that once walked and worked those grounds.
Thank you Regina . I appreciate you sharing this , a place I would like to visit. God Bless you and your Family. God Bless the souls that once stayed there and suffered so much , they didn't live there they suffered so much day after day . Rest , you are free now, Rest !
I love history. However, it's sad that some history is so terrible. I really believe that the wall of names is important. Even though these poor people were stripped of their freedom and identity, that wall gives them some sort of legacy. There's a saying that you die twice. First, when you physically die. Then the second is the last time your name is mentioned. People read the names on the wall every day, keeping their story available to educate everyone.
Thank you so very much for sharing. Can you tell what the musical soundtrack you chose is? As sureal as this journey back in time was, that piano keyboardist struck a most haunting tone in my soul for what my ancestors must have suffered through. Many truest blessings to you and your Family! God is real. Thank you again. Stay safe. Be well
God didn't intend for A man to own "A Man " my Heart Hurt So Badly For them 💔 even though it's been a long time ago that kind of cruel treatment.... But My God... it did happen I can only imagine their cry's To You Lord...My Lawd😭 that's how my Granddaddy and My Elders called to God...this hurts so bad
This is so bad, aren’t you listening to what things are?? Couldn’t you share that?? Even edit it after. I wouldn’t support your travel if this is how you share what you see.
How unfortunate, hopefully you can find a channel that you like. 👍🏽 You have to remember this is my interpretation and how I choose to share my experience. I’m an author of creativity, many were blessed, hate that you weren’t. Blessings 🙏🏾
@@ReginaPerkinsShowwell I guess I’m different, I tuned in as I wanted to learn about where you were. Isn’t that the point of channels? Or at least why I watch them.
@@loribowman4711 You obviously did not watch the video Lori?🤷🏽♀️It was quite informative, I shared what I deemed important to me, however by all means dig deeper and share. My family and I are really enjoying learning about our history. There is more info out there on the Whitney Plantation, I encourage you. Thanks for watching. Blessings to you❤

Thank you for bringing me along. This tour touched the innermost part of my souls journey…….
As for the owner, his burden is lifted ……😳🥺
Thank you for your due diligence in telling our stories.
Where is this Plantation at Louisiana
The wall of honor is the most beautiful yet heartbreaking thing I’ve ever seen.

I would have loved to see all the names of the slaves
I liked reading their stories.

just seeing the entrance made my stomach hurt so bad.
I know there have been horrible things happening there but this place looks so calm and peaceful now
With all the birds chirping
Anyone who beats a person nearly to death, deserves his just deserts. If it's a child, he deserves to rot in hell.
Thank you so much for this video. You did an awesome job. I felt like I was on the tour with you.

So sad. Ppl shouldn't do this to another person. As a white person I'm ashamed Abt this... Never should've happened. ❤️ Out to all who suffered...
Their. Names. 🙏🏾
This place is Based
Do any have ancestors in Africa do they know
❤❤❤
U didn't even correct urself. Smh. Sharecroppers used the store not slaves. 😒🙄
It’s not their real names or where they came from meaning where from Africa originated, family name
Why they don't have there original name on it before slavery
