I just completed this tour with the “Truth Teller” Sistah Patt today. Words can’t describe how full my heart is right now. I will never ever forget this amazing experience. I was so moved!
I'm planning a trip to Savannah and had a look on Trip Advisor for tours on Black history in the city. It's pretty sad that this was the only tour of the sort. I think it's awful that most people want to pretend like slavery never happened, but I'm glad this tour exists. I look forward to going later this year.
The black history of Savannah is mostly space trade up until early 60s . It was the biggest of export and import past the freeing of slaves. There is a good food tour. Too
Is there a reason why our black celebrities don't but field trips for young kids to see their history ? Basketball and Football is thing black celebrities want to do for kids.
the students from 1st to 8th grade are taken on a yearly pilgrimage to the savannah slave auction so they can be reminded they will always be victims and need white people to do for them. you will find the horror stories you are looking for because that is the fashion these days. blacks and whites can never get along so keep driving that wedge in. why not do a story on the current slave trade in africa today?

The story of the young man telling his life story living on the plantation was very moving. I am sure they lived rich off the land running wild as I would enjoy as a child. Thank you for sharing these beautiful city stories of Savannah. A truly historical city I visited and enjoyed thoroughly.

Ballasts were used in empty ships or ships with low cargo. The cobblestone streets come from Madeira Island, Spain, Canada, France and the British Isles. It was not normal practice to use them in slave ships. They were unloaded by slaves and indentured servants. Slave ships were built in the North East. NYC was against the ending of slavery in South because they were made wealthy by the textile trade based on slavery in the South.

All over the world. Our history was erased we’ve been lied to but to touch and listen and hug this women my ancestors. I felt I was getting closer slavery might not be the story of every person either melanined skin.
