Even though I have 21 basses, the Sage Green Jazz will always be my #1, what's y'alls #1 bass? PS: Thank y'all for watching!🤘 PPS: A lot of y'all are asking about the headless Ibanez EHB1005MS that I demo'd earlier this year and it was unfortunately a loaner bass, but I'm planning on buying one once I sell a couple of these basses!
Hey Patrick, I'm buying my first bass guitar after playing guitar for 12 years. Ever since I watched your EHX Freeze video featuring this bass, I've been wanting to have it too. You're literally the reason I have that pedal and now this bass too (well, they don't have the MIM edition where I am so I'm having to buy the Deluxe Active or Deluxe Active Precision) 😎
Mine was a Hamer Slammer 5... Had to pawn it due to hard times... Now using DjinnBass until I can afford an Ibanez or a used Dingwall. Then again, I'm a guitarist first, everything else second. XD #PickGang
I'll always remember My Fender FSR PBass 2009. I bought it used, with a '58 AVRI Pickup and Orange Drop. I needed a computer, so i had to sell it. At least now i'm Engieneer. I Will seek another one (or the same) to get it back
I have 28 bass guitars. I know, I need more , right ? Probably my favorite is an early 80's Peavey foundation. I had one back in the mid eighties, and like a fool, I sold it. I found it's twin a few years ago, and bought it. I just love it !
I Have 4 - Fender MIM Jazz Bass (Olympic White with White Pickguard and Rosewood Fretboard with completely Stock Pickups and Hardware) - Sterling By Music Man Ray34 (Black With Black Pickguard and A Maple Fretboard, I haven’t changed anything but I filed down some of the body and gave it a kind of ashy color and put a Jason Vorhees sticker on the Pickguard) - Gibson/ Epiphone Thunderbird (I don’t know a lot about this bass but I had a Gibson Trust rod cover with Epiphone Neck plate and stamp on the back of the neck. It’s an Epiphone Custom Shop but I don’t know much other than that) - Rogue Viola Bass (I kinda Hate this bass, but it was my grandfathers and I “inherited” it when he passed on and I learned on it)
Patrick Hunter with a collection like that, you could built a fort of bass and just live happily ever after playing bass lol. Nah for real tho I feel you. I’m super indecisive that for me I’ll probably need a separate casket for just my favorite instruments alone lol

Cool collection man! But your lack of 5 string basses is unsettling XD Please do the Ibanez SR505 Fishman Pickups video! My main bass is a Cort B5 with those same Bartolini pickups in it, and Ive also been looking at the Fishman pickups as replacements, would be great to see a comparison between the two \m/
Man. You're my age, and I only have 2 basses. Been playing for 16 years, didn't have the need of 3-more basses. Congratulations, my man. Watching you since way back 🔥
So heart broken when you said you hated acoustic basses, I literally just bought one today, an Ibanez, and I love it! After years of blowing my hearing out, it's relaxing to play quietly, also, I travel for work, basically live in hotels, so the quiet acoustic is going to be perfect for the lonely hotel rooms!
So you discovered HB was a thing... And was like... "Oh well now I can have all the basses." I had the exact same thought. Just ordered the stingray knock off
Always interesting to see others' collections. I accumulated 10 or so basses, but I've realised I really only play my Mike Lull M5s, so will certainly be selling / giving away 3 or 4 of mine.
That HB60 was impressive. Both of those MIM Fender Jazz basses looked and sounded great too. I'm usually a P-bass guy but becoming more and more convinced that Jazz might be the way to go. The sanded purple/blue has always been the best looking bass in your collection, imo.
Nick Scout used to be my neighbor, and he's the guy that got me into wanting to be a guitar tech! If any of you guys haven't seen any of his work, check his Instagram out; and if you need any repair work done, he is the guy to do it. My #1 was my P bass that Nick actually helped me put together, but then the neck picked up a twist that I haven't bee able to afford to repair, so the weight has fallen on my janky jazz bass copy. It has only one pickup, a DiMarzio Will Power, and I plan on filling in the bridge cavity, and repaint it all black. It isn't the best bass in the world, but she works for me, that's what matters.
Hey, Patrick!! How yya doing? hope you're doing fine during such trying times. Man, congrats for such an amazing collection! I loved your Harley Benton ones, I wish they became more famous around here in Brazil, I'd love to own one of these. I have a Mexican Fender Jazz Bass and I just love it, it's going to the grave with me, alongside my Precision. My only two basses left from the small collection I've owned a few years back. I thought I was going to see the scorpion bass here! LOL Love your content, Patrick! It really inspires me as a youtuber and bass player! Thank you so much and keep up the awesome work!
I have an 82 Fender P bass that I repainted metallic emerald green and metal flake in Candy's clear. Used automotive paint because that's the world I work in. Golden age pots, my own heavy gauge wiring and a Seymour Duncan QP P-pick up. "Going to the grave with me."
for the rick mod project, whichever one you use, you should do the cliff burton thing where you have a mudbucker in the neck, a duncan hotstack in the bridge, and a strat style single coil where the bridge mute is supposed to be (activated by push-pull pot)
Bruh, "DON'T TOUCH THAT HARLEY BENTON RIC". MAN, that bass sounds amazing, and I'm not a "ric guy". I don't think I've ever heard a ric that made me want one!!!
Not fair. I wasn't going to click but you were waving around a Peavey Grind in the thumbnail. My MIV Grind 5 is a work of astonishing craftsmanship. Second-to-last bass I'd sell. Very Mike Dirnt on your MIM P Bass.
Loved that you played Mr. Experience on that Ibanez Mikro, wasn't expected at all! I love your collection and how sincere you're about about falling out of love of some instruments and loving others despite some of their flaws, that's so relatable. I'm still looking for the one, my Warwick Corvette from 2000 has that punchy Warwick sound that's cool, but it's heavy as heck and its neck it's too monstrous for my hands, so I'll keep on looking for something more comfortable with that kind of sound. Great video as always Patrick, lots of love from Spain~
I have one of those Ibanez Mikro bases and I love it! I only gig on bass once a month, my main gig is on drums, so it's my primary bass. The combination of ease to play, portability, weight and how cheap it was were a winner for me.
Great video. I'm a middle aged guy who's just now beginning to learn bass after years of failing on guitar. I've been playing the crap out of an old '80s short scale I picked up at a pawn shop for $50. Waiting on my Glarry GIB to show up Monday (it's in transit from CA now). Figure I can play/learn/mod like crazy on it, then add better ones to my collection as I improve. Enjoyed the tour of your collection.
Awesome video, Patrick. It would be cool to see the Fishman's on the Ibanez SR505. I bought my first bass off craiglist too XD... but I was 24 years old (Fender Squier Precision PJ Sunburst).
That Ripper is my favorite, I'm a HUGE fan of the G basses from Gibson, you should try out a G3, they have the most unique tone out of all the Gibson basses I've tried
Cool collection. Loved the Gibson Ripper 2 and the HB BZ4000. You actually got me really interested in Harley Benton and their recreations. May be pulling the trigger on something from HB soon, myself. Thanks for the collection update.
Hi , very nice entertaining video. Like you i am addicted to everything that ha to do with basses. I am amused how great these low budget Harley Bentons sound just great.
I CANT WAIT TO HEAR WHAT THE FISHMANS SOUND LIKE IN THE 505. Ive been playing a 505 for about two years now and I personally love how it plays, but I do agree that the pickups could use a replacement. Maybe I'll get some fluences in mine depending on what it sounds like. Great Video!
If i had to pick my favorite bass, no question it'd be my MIM Pbass in candy apple red, the thing is stunning. I put an Aguilar 60p in it, and if you want vintage pbass tones, its hard to find a better sounding pickup
@@jupiterjames-reynolds2260 oh yea, the pbass can give you maybe 4 or 5 sounds, but you can do literally anything with those sounds; plus all of then are just classic sounds
Looks like we both went through the same thing with the Gibson Krist Novoselic RD bass. Only difference is I parted ways with mine after about a month, just wasn't cutting it. :'( Favorite bass has to be my F bass BN 5. all custom made to order here in Canada, OH MY GOD do they ever sing.
I have 8 basses. '78 Ric 4001, 2009 Fender CIJ Mustang Reissue, Fender Aerodyne, Jazz clone with Aguilar AG 4J-HC humbuckers, Takamine G Series, G&L L-2000, G&L Fallout and a Stingray HH. My #1 is the L-2000, it has incredible tone abilities.
I play on a Fender Jazz bass, and this bass is good for all styles of music, you can play all you want with a fantastic tone ! i love mine :) Hello from France
Hi, Patrick! I'm a new subscriber. Yeah, your sage green is divine! I love the sound. I'm going to dig through your other videos and see if you have any demos with it, tinkering with settings, and running through some pedals. I share your love of Harley Benton, especially bang for the buck. Those are some of your best sounding basses, including the TB70. Your Fender P Bass sounds amazing. While I feel you should build a shrine to worship your sage green, I have to admit that the axe I envy you for the most is that Dingwall NG2 multi scale. I would love to have the 5-string in Lamborghini Orange!!!
I'm sorry if I have missed it, but have you ever done a Sandberg Demo? I am in love with the VMA with P-bass style pick ups..... Hope you are healthy and well.
I still play my Peavey T-40 that I bought new in 1983. (Yeah, I'm a tad older than you). My chiropractor named his boat after me. lol. That bass is a BEAST but incredibly versatile.
I started playing in November and I just bought my 4th! I thought I had a we bit of a problem! LoL I actually only kept 3 of the 4. My first was a squier P bass with pj pickups, then I bought an Ibanez grs200 or whatever it's called... For some reason it never truly felt right, then I bought my Japanese Fender Aerodyne Jazz bass with pj pickups and my latest editLasciate ogne speranza, voi ch'intrate"ion is my Jackson CBxnt concert bass ! I had no intention of buying either one but I literally instantly fel in love with them! Not only that I got the Jackson for $369 instead of the $749 it's listed for! To me it was a no brainer. I can easily see how you end up with 21 basses at 26 years of age. The more you are around them the more and better deals you are around so it can become a buying a merry go round! I've also had 3 different amps as well!
Your Glary is very similar to a Schecter Diamond series I got real cheap during Covid lock downs here in Australia. Have you ever heard of a Teisco (Del-Ray?) J2 1962from Japan? The head stock hints of a Telecaster style until I remember that's 2 years before fender released the Jazz (or Precision)...?

The Harley Benton Rickenbacker and the Cirrus copies sounded surprisingly good, if only they looked good (it's a matter of taste). Coolest looking bass in this video: Gibson Ripper bass.
Wow Patrick you have some really cool Basses .. I was really impressed by the wish P-bass I’m wanting to upgrade a Glarry Gp bass and I really like what you’ve done
I spotted two things that were missing from this collection - no djent stick and no 2 string slide bass (see Mark Sandman / Morphine - it could be a good use of that Rickenbacker copy you don't like much).
I have 5 basses rn. My first is a Hohner Acoustic/Electric. Love that thing. Second is an active Squire Jazz with soap bar pickups. Love that thing, but it's ridiculously heavy. Probably one of the most comfortable necks I've played though. I have a Kramer Striker that I picked up in a pawn shop. It has... issues. It is my only bass with precision p-ups though so it's worth keeping around for the moment. Then there's my Glarry 5 string J copy. It's alright. Nice to have a 5 string around, and it looks gorgeous. can't say much else about it though honestly. And just two days ago I was given a bass made by my best friend's dad. Body is made of plywood, but it's been painted a real nice orange. Whatever neck he put on that thing is the most comfortable neck I've ever played on, and the knockoff Stingray pickup sounds really really good. Only has a volume knob, but what more do you need? Oh yeah and it looks like a telecaster with a stingray pickguard. Super weird, and I fucking love it
I’ve always wanted a jazz bass with a p bass neck. Is it hard to find a p bass neck that would fit into a jazz bass neck pocket? Would love more information on this type of mod! Thanks
Great vid! Appreciate the explanations of all the hardware on the basses. What strings do you like? Sounds like some of them have the same ones. The 75 ripper in particular sounds like it has something great going on with the strings, I've heard those sound lots of different ways. Also do you set up and maintain all these yourself!?
The Harley Benton RB414 and the BZ4000 are two of the nicest-sounding basses in the bunch, IMO. Considering Glarry's price, it totally gets an honorable mention, but it has a weird, cheap "clack" when you open-hand slap it.
Even though I have 21 basses, the Sage Green Jazz will always be my #1, what's y'alls #1 bass?

That Harley Benton Peavey Cirrus knockoff looks and sounds insane.
I think it's more reminiscent of an Ibanez BTB, even down to the headstock shape.
Lucas Lorenz and a Rickenbacker 4003
@@lucaslorenz8812 it looks way more like a peavey cirrus than an Ibanez BTB. It's almost identical looking to the Peavey.

Love your collection man! I like the Dingwall NG2 and Fender MIM P-Bass the best, killer tones.
I have 8 basses. '78 Ric 4001, 2009 Fender CIJ Mustang Reissue, Fender Aerodyne, Jazz clone with Aguilar AG 4J-HC humbuckers, Takamine G Series, G&L L-2000, G&L Fallout and a Stingray HH. My #1 is the L-2000, it has incredible tone abilities.
man, that Olympic white Harley benton Pbass is looking killer, i'd like to see that in your collection!
Patrick: "I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM, YOU HAVE A PROBLEM!" ;P Killer collection my friend!
I have that same sterling ray 34 and I absolutely love it. Great vid (envious of that bass collection 😬)
A few of those Harley Bentons are super sick! Really impressed and want to try them out!
i love how he had to play blister in the sun on the acoustic
Way to go Bud .... What else would you play on an acoustic bass ? lol Rock On!
24:00 "As The World Falls Down" (David Bowie) from "Labrynth" .... NICE
Wow! That's what I thought it sounded like. I figured it was just me. ;)
@@NeoRichardBlake hi where are ate you????? Where ate ypu....
Woodlandlzand
Hi it is garry wright where are you sweet thing
Kinda funny you are showing and sound sampling your bass colection while wearing a justice for all tshirt 😂😂 Anyway Awesome video
Fantastic Violent Femmes with the accoustic!!
That Sterling Ray34 is sooooo nice looking
Wow Patrick you have some really cool Basses .. I was really impressed by the wish P-bass I’m wanting to upgrade a Glarry Gp bass and I really like what you’ve done
Anyone know what bassline he played at 5:30 with the Rick? Or was that his own lick
Honestly the ali express rickenbacker bass is the controller you give you friend for co-op games
Thanks
Love the grabber and ripper and t-40, had a 81’ grabber g-3 with the 3 single coil pups. The one that got away 😢 thanks for sharing the collection 👍🏼
My #1 bass is my epiphone thunderbird haha! At least it's white! Love the sound and feel of it. Best neck I ever played on.
and one last BRAVO ON PICK PLAYING KEEP PLAY PICK ,,NO MATTER WHAT OTHER YOU LEARN
What's that song you played at 8:07 ?
Great vid! Appreciate the explanations of all the hardware on the basses. What strings do you like? Sounds like some of them have the same ones. The 75 ripper in particular sounds like it has something great going on with the strings, I've heard those sound lots of different ways.
Also do you set up and maintain all these yourself!?
Love the tone of the big bootie Gibson with SD PUs.
I am most interested in your T-shirt right now!
Check it out here: teespring.com/and-bass-for-all?pid=46
check out The Bass Channel, it is from their merch store. Awesome content too!
The Harley Benton RB414 and the BZ4000 are two of the nicest-sounding basses in the bunch, IMO. Considering Glarry's price, it totally gets an honorable mention, but it has a weird, cheap "clack" when you open-hand slap it.
@23:54 "as the world falls down" by david bowie from "the labyrinth" movie soundtrack 🙂
My bass collection starts and ends with my NG2. There's no other bass I want to play.
Is that riff on the Harley Benton Thunderbird,a Deep Purple song Black Night ?
