- Using triads to play jazz chords a very powerful tool. In this lesson I will go over how you can use the triads you already know to play great sound jazz progressions using only easy 3 note jazz chords.
We can play a wide range of chords with these 3 note easy jazz chords and they are very easy to add notes to or change notes to give us the extensions or alterations we want.

Hey Jens! I’m curious if you use triad pairs to comp over progressions. I’m not sure if it would leave things too ambiguous or if with the root and 5th in the bass it would make sense. Thanks! I really appreciate all of the time you put into your videos
I do not really think in triad pairs very often. The effect of using a triad pair really depends on which triads you use over which chords.
If this is the introduction into jazz I must be far behind on music theory lol I have so much to learn and idk where to start 😂

Jens, how do you visualize these Triads all over the neck? Do you see them inside the Caged System?
I don't use the Caged system so I can't say that I use that for visualization. I just practiced triads in different ways, especially inversions on string sets and diatonic triads in my scales.

Jens Larsen helps a lot, because im trying to get all the possibilities with the "Triads" subject (harmony, solo, triad pairs and superimposing). But naturally some topics are harder than others, for me as a begginer in jazz language. Luckly your videos helps alot. Thanks
