Reacting to overly sarcastic productions would be cool. They centralize on history and mythology. Glad I found this channel.

Back when Ike was president, he visited near here for some reason. My grandpa said that my great grandpa wouldn’t let them go see the president because he didn’t like Eisenhower, because he served under Eisenhower during WWII. Apparently Eisenhower wasn’t the most popular commander during the war

Lovely reaction as always! My suggestions would be The Wild World of Inuit Folklore, and the Dead Body Hijinks parts 1 and 2. Though if I were to specifically suggest something that isn't Sam o' Nella for the sake of something wildly different for variety I suggest The Engoodening of No Man's Sky by Internet Historian and his video on The Fall of 76'. Also I would love to see ya'll react to The Thought Movie (Undertale Comic Dub) by Starbot Dubs as its something that I think will prove to be quite thought provoking~

Yeah Eisenhower either knew what he was doing, or was just driven by the red fear and didn't realized just how much he was crippling Central America. Most of the nations weren't communist, at first, just more liberal, but the USA sabotages and specially the USA backed dictatorships sure helped into radicalizing communist cells. Ironically Dwighty was creating the problem he wanted to eradicate, all in favor of the profit the bananas generated. Hawaii is a honorary banana republic, although they would've been more like pineapple republic.
Thanks for checking out my recommendation, I would like to suggest also
A long but really good one The Animated History of México
One of my favorites "Quantum Mechanics: Schrodinger's discovery of the shape of the atoms" by Scribblegoose, "Steve Hughes Live at the Apollo" one of my favorite comedy shows, "Bloodborne Chronicles | League" by Fieldhouz and "Moviemakers" by Eddsworld
And a few comedic short ones such as "Darksouls Lore - Artorias" by ThePruld, "It Came from BrendanieReads: I am a Doctor" by Daitomodachi and "Crackhead Police" by Yogurt Cap
Whatever your pick keep the good stuff.

yeah Eisenhower was no fool, the deeper you look the more apparent the actions of 20th century and even 21st-century presidents follow common themes, Eisenhower was also responsible for the assassination of the then leader of the congo, perhaps the most significant political assassination of the century. The consensus tends to be that the themes emerge from 1. presidents coming out of a defined group of power and 2. the maintaining of the presidency by upholding corporate or other interests, such as media moguls, food companies, the banks, and of course the military-industrial complex. The ruthless actions of the USA tend to stem mostly from Wilsonianism among other things, you can read more about it in hegemony or survival.

If you think this is bad, you should go ahead and take a look at how Hawaii became a US state. I don't know of any videos covering it offhand, but it's incredibly similar to this. Bunch of fruit companies seized control of the then-independent Kingdom of Hawaii after the monarchy threatened their interests and appealed to the US to annex the whole thing. Obviously there's more details than that, but modern-day Dole was the primary force behind it too.

Am I missing something...Did you guys add anything to this video? Little added commentary during vid, and the end recapped was fairly underwhelming / uninformed.
I could be being harsh. First vid I’ve seen of y’all’s. But I’m from Chicago. I love history and geopolitics, and I’d assume most would know about American’s neo-colonialism in Latin America (AND...East Asia, Pacific Islands, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and Africa) by using the CIA to stage coupes or support pro-American leaders to protect the economic interests of big businesses & private corporations over the political and democratic interests of the people or nation. And the big shame of it, is it being done under the cloak of stopping the spread of communism, spreading freedom, and supporting democracy, but in reality we’re the anti-democratic tyrants, who’d support military dictators and human rights abuses while justifying it as “free market, global Capitalism”.
A couple dozen nations today are still unstable either politically or financially due to our covert operations and economic policies we imposed as the “World’s Police/Peace Keeper”, “The World’s oldest democracy, and “The protector of freedom for individuals and markets”.

They act like the U.S. and those companies don't progress and evolve. Obviously we have done some bad things but he should judge how a country progresses and gets better. Plus a lot of misinformation about what they know of history doesn't help.

@@theweebsarecoming1565 No no, a lot has changed. Don't downplay and ignore all the American heroes you've done so much and lost just as much for the freedom of the American people. You won't ever understand the work put into this country to keep it on the right path. Looking back from the start, I can say much has changed.

    • @silverstar8868
      @silverstar8868 3 роки тому

@@melanoc3tusii205 Yeah, no, companies are not doing this now. I don't think that'll slip by anyone. At most, companies would use foreign workers for cheaper labour. But they aren't overthrowing governments or anything. Especially not after President Theodore Roosevelt broke up monopolies and lessen the powers of corporations.
You know, I don't like when people say that the United States "hasn't changed". That really devalues the work done by many for a change. Are you just going to ignore Martin Luther King jr's work? How about the hardship of Frederick Douglas? The U.S. will always have it's issues, no nation is perfect. Though one thing made us stick out from many other countries, our government is flexible. Our country has allowed changes to the system. It may not always seem like it, but people have lost so much just so Americans of all kinds can be free. So I personally believe that the U.S. has changed, and it'll continue to progress.

@@silverstar8868 I agree with most of your points, but I feel like it's just evolved. Take for example big tech companies like facebook and twitter and what they have been doing recently. The US government keeps warning them, taking them to court and stuff. They have a huge influence on people as more than 3 billion people use their apps. Everything else I do agree with you how every keeps saying the US is trash or trying to make it like we don't want to change but they forget that every other country isn't so innocent either.
